Disable Microsoft COPILOT without Group Policy Editor
USE THIS ALSO IF COPILOT SHOWS IN SEARCH

Having another attempt at removing, or at least disabling parts of this AI intrusion!
This method needs a little bit of copying and pasting. And also manually disabling the Copilot AI in the taskbar settings. And for complete transparency, it does not uninstall or fully remove it. At present that is impossible as it is hard coded into various aspects of the Operating System. So we do what we can.
Here are the instructions and codes needed.
First right click on the Taskbar and choose Taskbar settings.
In Taskbar Items click the CoPilot toggle to remove it from sight. This might be enough for some people, if you want more then carry on below.
DISABLE COPILOT FROM REGISTRY
Open up the powershell or Terminal as Admin and paste the following command
reg add HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsCopilot /v TurnOffWindowsCopilot /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
Press enter.
Reboot and COPILOT should no longer bother you.
RESTORE COPILOT FROM REGISTRY
Open the Powershell or Terminal as Admin and paste the following
reg delete HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsCopilot /f
Press enter and reboot.

Literally there are tons of videos out there claiming to fix the core issue of problem which is simple as hell but at the end of day they don't even work and bait videos.
Thank you for the Terminal command for removing that shit from task bar and making only solution video for this problem that many people are now victim of.

My savior, Copilot made me disable some other things and all microsoft sounds because it was interfering with my keyboard commands.

Im actually testing of CoPilot on our works laptops at the moment and I have to say Im kinda impressed with it. Not on me browser though, its annoying there, but in MS Teams, Excel, Word and OneNote its a bloody god-send ! Thats on me work device though, on me home computers Im disabling it !!!!

it has a use, but for me and probably a large number of the install base is that we don't know what data is being skimmed and by who. And also the option to opt out would be appreciated

The one and only thing I asked Copilot was how to remove it. I get these things are new technologies that need to be implemented, but its out of line of MS to force it on users by hardwiring it into the OS.
Hi, Mile. I've not seen hide nor hair of Copilot on my Windows 11 system, as I always switch to a local account right after the windows install is finished. Most of the new features, "Bloatware", requires a Microsoft account to run.

It does everything in it's power to switch you out of local, and often you won't know until it''s too late. Windows is spyware

Yeah. My laptop updated last night and I saw the dreaded Copilot.
Was able to turn off in the task bar.
But it is impossible to disable it now
Hi mike i would like you to post a video about tweaks to have the lowest latency possible , or the settings that you change everytime you install fresh windows or the bios settings that you consider as a must change .Thanks
to be honest these days i tend to quite often just go with a clean base OS and test it first to see if the overall platform is stable. after a few days then i might start experimenting with removing a some apps and turning off features. I also never bother with latency settings unless i am experiencing lag in the overall system.
