ANOTHER South Sudanese model, Nyakim Gatwech, not Yai (had to look that up too, forgetting it was Columbia, not NYU). And finally, there was Yai's quotes "Everyone should go BACK HOME to Africa. There's this grounding, spiritual energy when you enter Africa, like you found God." Now, I've never been to Africa but I believe Yai and I believe that "everyone" WOULD feel "back home" in Africa. We came from there; all of us. And that called up this song by Senegalese artist Wasis Diop that I re-listened to this week.
