- Start on a 10' high mound down a 75' run into a 8' tall banking turn down to another hill with a slight banking slope. It's a blast! Great way to get the kids out of the house for hours on end. Last two clips in video show the size of the run. Hill was shown on GMA Feb.11 2014. Thanks to Ginger Zee

Way to be an awesome dad! Your kids will never forget about this!
Especially if he shows them this UA-cam video about it lol
Y dude needs locked up to dam fast and know helmets it's cool as hell
This is 100% what being a kid is all about.
wished they put on a helmet though. lol
@@footytube9500 that ruins the fun
@footytube9500 I will agree a helmet would've been smart. That was one of our fastest nights Temps low. Hoping this season will be cold enough to make another but not looking good as Christmas day will be 50's. With my new snow making equipment once weather's right will try once again. Thanks for watching.
Those kids will never forget how much fun that was.
An amusement park in your own yard, how great is that!
We had record snow last year so that helped. Required a tremendous amount of snow blowing and shoveling for weeks. Hard part was packing/shaping and watering it down to form a straight smooth ride. Already started this years which will have a longer sweep for the end bank. Should keep the speed up.
hhbhh
This is so cool! The first clip kinda made me worry someone was gonna go flying
@OM D Thank you! It's been years since we've had that amount of snow that actually stuck around. Can't wait to build another one.
@@markhavingfun I just had a snowstorm that reminded me of this. I can’t believe you did this! And it wasn’t even a quarantine project. It was life 6 years ago. So insane!
@@markhavingfun REALLY AWESOME!!
Can I come over?
I wish
This was in 2014 not 2021 Lol!😂🙄people so stupid

"when life gives you snow, you make AWESOME!" nice work Dad!
I WANT THIS IN MY YARD
I miss being a kid and doing sketchy and slightly dangerous stuff. Good times! Way to go dad!
The council has decided: this video is gonna be in everyone's recommendation
And u were not wrong!
If I know local council's, they're probably concluding that it is way too much fun to be allowed to continue and will ban it for some half arsed 'safety' reason.
Actually I searched for this! I’m glad to see I chased the algorithm for the first time it chased me.
In deed
My Dad used to do this for us back in the day, he'd hose it down so we'd go wicked fast....I miss you Dad
This is why everyone needs a Dad.
I see... it's time for youtube algorithm to do the magic again
This is so, so awesome...
This is a laugh riot! I may not be one of the people who gets to play on it, but I have to say I'm grateful you built it - the laughs and delight I get out of watching this video are just about perfect!
THANK YOU!
This made me want to be young again soooo badly . The sound of the ice as the sleds sped by , weeeeeee!
We used to sit on sleds hanging onto ropes tied to truck bumper on the country roads as a kid. Of course we were safe, we wore our hockey helmets and gloves. 20 mph is hauling dingus on a rail sled!
This reminds me of my childhood! It’s nice to see the boys playing hard nice job dad!
The just showed us the exact definition of riding the edge
Looks like a blast from the past!
I remember when I use to vacation at one of my relatives’ house and they had a (I’m guessing) 300 foot icy driveway that is on a steep hill, and they piled up the snow in a massive ramp at the end, and I would ride a sled down and sometimes almost got carried all the way to the busy road. Dangerous sledding.
i can’t wait to see this again in a few years
Watch them wake up the next day, jump out of bed, get their mittens and hats on, and then see it’s covered with a new layer of snow
This is freaking awesome!!! Great job! 😊👍
AWESOME! :) I need to get back to days like this!
It's worth it
We love watching this. Good work.
Great job.
Wish I had video twenty five years ago when our kids were young. I did this for several years in a 50x200 foot lot, using crazy carpets. Hosed it down to make it faster....kids/adults outside for hours, did I mention there was a few pops involved. Giant bowling ball gutter so you couldn't fly out.
When we have snow where I live, I will definitely try to build one
This is brilliant!
Parenting points for you sir! Amazing
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME 🤩!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Omg i love that and want that for my kids and myself!! ❤️
Wow, this is awesome!
Hey dad? You are awesome!
The 37 people who disliked this are mad they didn't have this growing up.
This is awesome!
Totally awesome! I woulda loved that on my flexible flyer when I was a kid
That must be so cold but good that the kids are just having fun in the snow. Take care.
winters aren't even very cold if you're used to it.
wow that looks epic great job
I love the sound of fun.
Wow! An "Action Park" behind the house
Way too go pops happy new year
Wow, nice slide!
it reminds me of my dad laughing at us when we made three different tracks.. fun fun, fun....
The kids will tell stories of the bobsled run they had their backyard their dad built, ah memories!
can we just talk about how GIANT THERE BACK YARD IS!?!??
Great job!
i wish i had a back yard this big
Magnificent!
Why is no one talking about how close they are to flying off at the bend
good one. how long takes to built?
that looks epic
I wish I grew up somewhere that actually snowed
Hello fellow humans watching this in 2021
Super cool !!!!
How could this have two dislikes?
NO JUMP!!!!!! LOL (I didn't do it)
Paris Fluttershy i think hitler, bin ladin, stalin and the devil found this video
+Paris Fluttershy Well i really do not like this only because could be dangerous for kids
It's called jealousy.
13..
Superb!!
Awesome 😃😃😃looks fun
So darn cool 😎
Guau, espectacular. Felicitats
Dang that's fast ! 25mph?
Awesome.
I name this Full Send!!!
Mannnnn .... there would be 30 kids lined up to ride these slopes when I was a kid.
This is awesome indeed
I'm an Aussie, so jealous right now. Which we had snow in queensland
This looks awesome and It inspired me to build my own. Instead of the curve and going back mine has a 2 foot jump. but at night when it gets slick I crash into the pool. If you'd like to see it I could possibly film myself and send it to you.
If you can video maybe I can suggest a fix. Can always send as private/unlisted video so only specific people can view.
@@markhavingfun Ok maybe I'll post it so everyone can see it since its winter I think it may gain some traction
aw this looks so fun i wish i could do this
I love how they are practically hanging off the berm and say nothing
I'd want a helmet. That track is FAST and ICY 💗🍀🙏👀
Pipe down karen.
I want to be these kids! Unbelievable!
Fabulous
This so nice
awesome
Nice one
Best dad
Dad has increased to 100
Wow 😎
how did you make that?!?!?!?
you have a huge backyard
Now have a snow machine hoping this year we can make something awesome. Unfortunately we have a record low snowfall so far this season but hope the machine can cover that deficit.
Global warming
Well never had the snow fall required until the last couple weeks of winter. Had everything piled up just not enough winter left to form the run. Hoping next season is better and plan to document the process from start to finish.
A lot of work end result great fun for all and the kids are not banging on ps4/Xbox
Outside fun and exercise
Looks potentially dangerous... I love it.
this how all dads should be! haha so so cool
My favorite part of the track is the hill at the end that goes up and down but they couldn't get up and down a few times😥
Fearless kids 👍
I use to live in Michigan and my dad would speak of making runs like that to sled on but I did not have the opportunity.
This run was a blast for all ages. Nobody finished with out a huge smile running back to do it again.
Once again youtube coming through with old videos
Hey it's motivation to build another we just need enough snow. Past several years have been terrible for snow accumulation.
I am gonna make this next winter
I'm so jealous...
Can I be your nieghbor it looks like fun
AT THE BEST TIME 2 NIGHT TIME everyone has fun teasing the monsters on sleds WHO AGREES WITH ME
Puppylover02788 yeah and the suns not out :P
Clark Griswold is smiling rn
Funny you say that. We purchased a couple metal saucers saying the same thing.
I wish i could do this in winter...
I'm so jealous
You need to build that corner taller before someone goes over 😂
Did u just water the packed snow. No plastic ?
Correct no plastic 100% snow. Packed and shaped the snow but before watering would do test runs to make sure the angles were right. Actually very difficult to get the correct entry angle into the large bank. Once you have everything riding good them you apply water which depending on the snow type/densisty can require allot the first couple times. Once your base coat freezes smooth out and apply small amounts several times allowing it to freeze between each coat. Do it enough and it will be strong enough to walk on and will be super fast. Recommend the plastic saucers for this type of run but be prepared as they don't last very long. Temps below 16F. make the plastic brittle and cracks easy. Found that high quality duct tape apply before use in the right areas extended the sleds life from one night to sometimes weeks. I purchased the sleds in bulk online which saved allot. Hope this helps. Have fun!
Kid 1: want to sleep over? Kid 2: fuck yea!!!!!
It was honestly a rush to ride we would get up to 5adults each on own sled interlocking and ride down as a train. The combined weight and length would wip you around the bend was so fun
Is it just me or does everyone else hear the kids screaming OWW!!!!
Yup, extreme speed over ice on a thin plastic sled can hurt the knees. We ended up putting foam on sleds for comfort. Helped a ton!
that's fucking awesome holy shit
