Great reads, so Simone and Ruby are habituated. They walk their daily routes, knowing where to get some snacks, but wont get mad when they find nothing, because they are not conditioned to it. Everything is cool, as long as you stay calm, dont feed them directly or approach the cubs.

LOL yeah but one thing they have seemed to figure out is how to open a car door so always remember that if you're in your car in a bear approaches you, I can't tell you how many videos I've seen of Bears opening car doors as if they know exactly how to do it LOL so lock your doors
It's official, Ruby's cubs have won my heart. All bear cubs are cute, but there's something extra special about Ruby's babies. And until they figure out how to go up and down the steps, we can enjoy watching them climb and slide down the railing.

Yeah but their heads are getting bigger and one of these times they try to put their head through they'll get it through but they won't get their body through and then they won't be able to get their head back out and hopefully Ruby realizes that it has nothing to do with Patrick.

It's ULTIMATE TRUST for Ruby to bring "her babies" to your homestead !!! She is a very relaxed "mother bear", which is the opposite of how mother bears usually are with their cubs around.
Yes, her total trust in Patrick is beyond impressive.
Probably some trust involved… but also absolute confidence in her ability to protect her babies if need be (yes, I know… black bears tend to run rather than fight… )

the fact that ruby is doing the same thing for her cubs as her mom did for her is just a wild and beautiful thing, you must really be a special part of these bears lives

@@SimplySurrender I believe Simone is the mother to all of the now adult bears. She would be the grandmother to the babies in this video. If you look back on this channel you can find a video of Simone bringing her cubs (I believe one of the cubs in that video is ruby)

I don’t know how Patrick does it. I would do like to pat the cubs and interact with them even though I KNOW we are no supposed to! The 3 bears are so VERY cute (well, Ruby not so much cute but still one very cool bear).

They look at your porch as their playground. They are so comfortable around you, impressive. Animals can sense good, kind people.
So true. Even tho her babies are at such a tender age, Ruby absolutely knows this human would never, ever harm them.

These crazy babies make me nervous they will get stuck in the rails. I think you will have to grease the rails so they can slide thru. Ruby does not seem to be too concerned over her wild kids.. Love it!!
Agree… of all the things to be concerned about… it was the thought of the baby cubs getting stuck in the rails. What happens if that happens? Cut the rail I guess?
He did get stuck and started to panic which could turn mom aggressive.
He literally took THE HARDEST WAY off your porch. There was no more difficult a way to exit than that baby bear took to get off your porch 🤷🏼

These babies sure love to climb more than Milo or Luna when they were that age. At least it seems that way. Seems these critters are more vocal. Love to watch them. Thank you, Patrick.

The cubs actually sound like babies. The one who went through the fence rungs, thought was gone for good. To see it climb back up and get through back on the deck, amazing. ♥️🐻♥️🐻♥️🐻♥️

Nothing to do with bears, I feel for you going through shingles. It is awful. And that is too nice a word. Hope you're over it quickly. Mine took me at least 13-15 weeks. Still had hard time seeing though.

I had to rewind and listen a couple of times to the cub calling and crying -- I didn't believe my ears at first and wondered if we were hearing a human infant from inside the house. Amazing. These videos teach me so much. Thank you, Patrick.

I felt so bad the other day when that baby fell, but he climbed right back up. Don’t he go and fall again today, and climb back up, oh my heart. Then sliding down the rail again. 😂. They also sound like little human babies to boot. They are very resilient little cuties! They are too cute and them climbing on everything makes them even cuter! 😊❤️💕
