My ibis Ripley AF is the best thing I have ever ridden. I upgraded the fork to a RS Pike to stiffen up the front and I haven't looked back. Great low cost ripper!
My quiver killer is a Stumpjumper EVO. Super bike. Guessing it’s not mentioned because it has not really got an update since 2021. But a fantastic bike nonetheless.
Love my Pivot Switchblade. No sealed bearings though so can see why it seems to be missing from a lot of UK reviews. I’d be happy with a Hightower or Ripmo too…
I have been riding several high end XC bikes. With my newest Canyon Neuron CF9 SL I am still able to stay close to my fastest laps, little slower at the ascent but definitely faster on the descents. It gives me so much more trust and stability… it should have been given much more credits and publicity. Amazing bike! Still waiting for a pro that can show the limits of it. Great video again from gmbn again!
I am pleased with my Neuron CF9, Its a couple of kg heavier than my xc/down country bike, but not much slower. I went for the latest Neuron as it had the closest geometry to my other bike which means it feels very similar. 👍 I was expecting it to not climb well due to it being a little slacker than I would like, but I think that the more upright seat angle compensates for this so actually its not too bad on hills.
Anyone in Europe searching for a bike now should take look at the 2023 Occams, I just bought an h10 for 1800 euros... Unreal. They just made way to many of them during covid
@@VentoXSvix bikester! But it's back to around 2100 I think. Still pretty amazing. There are some mondraker raze r at 50% on other German sites like mount7.
Sealed means the balls and bearing have seals, if your bearing has only inner outer rings with visible cage or balls/rollers it's not sealed. If you have a plastic or rubber washer on each side it's sealed preventing the outside elements to come inside. Pretty simple.
People who have a yeti root canal special will say its the best, ibis ripmyarse owners will say it's the best if you paid 10k for a Forbidden doughnut or a Skor you'll surely find that's the best bike around 😂
My top 2023 trail bike must be the SCOR 2030! I didn't have the opportunity to ride it but the idea of 120/140mm travel paired with much like enduro geometry sounds for me like perfect combination!
I built a Tempo a few months ago. It's such a poppy fun bike. The Headset routing is a little fiddly but honestly not as bad as people make it out to be. One thing that does suck is the lack of clearance for a decent size bottle if you run a piggyback shock.
I don't know why a lot of these places reviewing/recommending XC and Trail bikes don't key on the Spectral, as that simply looks perfect for a lot of riders.
I love riding my trail hardtail , a Rose Bonero with 140mm. Got the full Hardcore upgrades for it . But i love my other trail bike too , a Ghost Riot Trail with 140mm front and rear travel
#askgmbn - i always read about different head angles and understand it. But with some bikes having the ability to change it by half a degree, does it make much difference?? Thanks 😊
Omg these bikes are so hot, even hotter that they'll be 50% off due to Yall Overpricing and over stocking yall inventory LOL dead bike industry also fk I can't sell my used bikes now thanks for that too bro. - Paris Hilton
All bearings that require lubrication are shielded from outside contamination by some type of protective shield. Sealed bearings are a pre-assembled assembly of bearings, races, grease and seals as opposed to a bearings that requires manual piece by piece assembly. But, you already know this, you just wanted to use your sarcasm.
Good lord woman! With all due respect, you are absolutely STUNNING! Not only are you drop dead gorgeous with the most captivating smile I've ever seen but come on?? You ride and ride WELL! You are nothing short of flawless. Please consider moving to Colorado, we have incredible mtb'ing here❤😊
#GMBN I'm bummed there wasn't more representation. No Nukeproof, Vitus, Hugene, Merida? I would love to see an honest ride and test competitive video to crown the GMBN best of bikes in each category. Manufacturers want the publicity and you guys get to enjoy bikes, win win. Just be honest with it.

As big biz does all it can to monoploise and jack prices in the bike industry. You really think big oil wants bikes to get popular.
To be honest Canyon and YT offer great value but compared to some other bikes they are nowhere near as good. Sponsors getting the bikes shouted out basically is what this video is.

I agree
My Ripley with a 140 36 is the best bike I've owned. Absolutely shreds, quiet, and requires minimal maintenance due to the bushings.
I'm in love with my Ibis ripley Af. It's a bike that goes everywhere and does NOT shy away from Scottish trails and mountains.
Ripley is a great bike
I love my Norco Fluid!
The Nukeproof Reactor is an awesome do it all bike that pedals well and goes down hill even better.
I got a canyon neuron this year and have been having a blast! Finally left 26" for good!
26" for life
SantaCruz 5010! Amazing bike... :)
Please do a best of British Hardcore Hard tail!! So much choice....steel , Alu , Ti which brand etc..???!!
I remember a couple of years ago Doddy was planning to go round the UK bike builders.
Vid never got made unfortunately.
All great bikes, but only the one's that don't have headset cable routing will be considered.
Not a fan?
Agree one hundred percent.

The Commencal, that looks oddly like the Jamis bikes rear end. The bikes are so good now days you can pick your favorite brand and it will be awesome.

What about Radon bikes? Both Slide and Skeen seem like a great value.

The Highlander looks amazing 🤩
Thanks for keeping this focused on mountain biking and not trying to mix or interfere with the eMTBs, or what we call “dad-bod” bikes.

what do you exactley mean with „sealed bearings“? aren‘t they all sealed?🤔
Sealed as in lubricated with that ole Eskimo branded seal oil lubrication formula option, eh¿
Sealed means the balls and bearing have seals, if your bearing has only inner outer rings with visible cage or balls/rollers it's not sealed. If you have a plastic or rubber washer on each side it's sealed preventing the outside elements to come inside. Pretty simple.
Cartridge bearings is what they are called.
Totally different compared to cup and cone.
i dont think that every company uses sealed bearings now. dont know wich would not🤔
@@francisdee9955 Most reputable bike companies use cartridge bearings. If you're buying a cheap Walmart bike it probably has cup and cone.

I'm surprised the Trek Fuel EX wasn't on this list 🤔

The new MARIN BIKES Rift Zone!!!! 💔😭
Norco Optic!
I guess it's not a current year bike LOL, I love my Optic and it's a banger of a trail bike that's one of the original enduro light bikes.
YT stands for Young Talent.
Very interesting, I didn't know that!
I would've bought a Commencal TEMPO this year, but the headset cable routing forced me to spend my money elsewhere.
