Thanks a million for showing your process. Im a novice junk wax collector who stopped after 1995 and just picked up collecting again last year. You did a great job explaining and giving tips on the overall system you use. Best of luck to ya from a new subscriber.
My situation..... collected all 84s up to 2002.... have really nice cards that have been in sleeves and top loaders for over 20 years Plus!!....and binders.... I'll experiment one day....very helpful....me collect too.
Great video, only thing you should add to your process is RUBBER GLOVES, our skin has a oily residue (& there are graders who have left their print on the card & slab it, it's Terrible to look at) 🤣
replace your magnifying lens table with a digital microscope camera with lcd 7 incher or can connect to pc too.. can save picture and video also.. this helped me a lot.
Great video! ...I like the table top magnifier. I have one the old school ones on a arm. You went through 2500 cards and got about 20 to grade? Ultra modern or 90s stuff or older?
Thank you for the video, I just started using the centering tool, glad I was doing it correctly. So far not bad, 2 submittals to PSA and 80% have been 10's none worse than 9 for modern, couple 7/8's for some 70's cards.
If you touch Pokémon cards like that it would mark them because they are more detailed and have Holos, but that’s a great way to check the centring, cool video cheers
I got them on Amazon but you can get them anywhere. They are tabs for notebooks to separate pages. This is the link to the ones I use, 1200 Pieces Page Markers, Pengxiaomei Sticky Note Tabs, Neon Colors Adhesive Page Index Tabs Flags www.amazon.com/dp/B07P7SJ887/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_GN2GWB14PWQ9VSPZ4DH2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The big magnifier wasca cheap Amazon purchase, I dont recommend it. It broke on me the first time I used it. It wouldnt stay up so i removed the arm. The loupe is from gotbaseballcards.com
Interesting....then again, for example....if you were able to maintain that current condition for the next 50 years, someone would travel, and still pay... throw in one of his father's rookie MLB cards for a bonus.... your right....tuff decision.... good video.
@@4cssportscards345 Applogies! I didn’t see that link. I really like the loupe. Gonna get me one. Also, excellent video! Really solid info. Liked and subbed 👍
I have a link in the description for the loupe and the centering tool. You can use any good magnifier, I recommend a 10 power lens with a light. The rest of the stuff I got from Amazon and Ebay, I hope this helps.
Buddy grades with CSG, SGC, HGA… they don’t even use these tools! 😆. Might as well just grade your own. Patty looked left heavy when it was sitting on your desk.
SGC can be very strict especially with centering even centering on the reverse unlike PSA. I’ve found that the angle of the camera can create a off center look in my photos even when the card measures 50/50, 55/45
@@zebraallday8332 The thing I love about SGC other then the nice looking holders, great turn around times, and prices is how they are much more open to how and why they grade cards what they do. PSA keeps so much behind closed doors, why? SGC IMO will continue to grow over the next year and greatly lessen the gap in price between SGC and PSA Fingers Crossed!

I heard clean dry hands works just fine too!
Great content. I like the reality check for pack fresh cards with collectors expectation of a ten. This is especially true with junk wax and earlier.
Thank you, really appreciate it
Great information. I will definitely use some of these techniques. Thanks
Glad I could help

I was thinking about it, any suggestions on model?
@@4cssportscards345 you use the camera as capture device for your obs app too. hope to see your videos soon! :)
Thanks fir the info and thanks for watching.
Great tips! learned a few things.

This one had the arms but I took them off for easier storage. 2500 mixed cards, mostly modern.

Where did u get the MAGNIFIER?

Thanks 👍
were you find mag 10x lamp???
The table top magnifier or the loupe? I got the loupe from Gotbaseballcards.com and the table top from Amazon, I have links in the description.

Where'd you snag that Loupe, sir?

Does your plastic centering tool scratch glossy & chrome cards?
It's been ok so far but I'm careful not to move it around too much just in case.
Yo Pete, where did you get your tools from

Where did you get the table top magnifier with lamp? Thanks
I grabbed it on Amazon. It had an arm on it but I removed it. Not sure what model it is, it's been awhile since I bought it
I just submitted 12 cards I didn’t even clean them or inspect them let’s see what happens!
I don't have the guts to do that, lol.
You are subbing a base patty donruss?
No, this was just used to show my process
Got ya. I have seen crazier things tho. I like the video. You have a nice process
Thank you
Why not just scan the card to your computer and use the same overlay? You don't have the card moving on you and the image can be 100X.
That would work great, thanks for the input.
Buddy grades with CSG, SGC, HGA… they don’t even use these tools! 😆. Might as well just grade your own. Patty looked left heavy when it was sitting on your desk.
I'm sure none of the grading companies use them but it's been working ok for me in screening, thanks for the input.
SGC can be very strict especially with centering even centering on the reverse unlike PSA. I’ve found that the angle of the camera can create a off center look in my photos even when the card measures 50/50, 55/45
What ? Sgc is very strict and consistent. Psa , not so much

FYI everybody!!! #PSA Does Not Care about the back of the card!!! I have seen many PSA Gem Mint 10s with OFF CENTERED backs!!
Pull tabs are not necessary, they are never used.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated
@@4cssportscards345my understanding is that they cut the card saver
