Just going over how I use several D.A.W.s in my music productions as their was a inquiry on whether I transitioned to Cubase from Reaper, TLDR I use all of them.
Where FL's piano roll eventually lost me is the need for multitimbral, whole song editing on a single page, to then freeze/bounce in place, pre-FX, and unfreeze as needed. Whenever I made a template where the piano roll side was efficient, MIDI and audio routing got tedious, and vice versa. I switched from FL to Reaper for Kontakt/Opus-driven orchestral stuff, but for pattern-based stuff FL is still fricking divine.
Your tripping bro Reaper self installs the Fl channel rack in your VST effects . Which let's you make a beat in FL through your track on reaper. It opens up a separate window. And routes all audio through reaper
@@Yishinyourear ahh see it's a fever dream for me I never got into the short hand commands on FL. but I can DEFINITELY see why that would be annoying . Im adding all kinds of stuff to instrumentals. chopping em up crazy on transitions stemming stuff out now if I want to . Throwing willddddd sound efx all over the place lol
It's the best comparison video, ever.

You can do all of those mentioned stuffs(workflow) in Reaper
Great workflow, Anthony!
Thanks!!
You can do basically all the things in Reaper. Learning reaper, IDDQD sound have videos about it. To stretch midi note, you hold alt.
Did you ever try mixing in Mixbus 32c? It does have a sweetness to it.
I haven’t attempted yet, something to look forward to though. Thanks
There's something wrong (distortion) with your voice, it sounds like very close miking

yep, but the key commands get hijacked that way , and is why i never adopted that work flow.
