@robloxvision112, not really kars transcended past his pillar race so you can't really count kars. He's no longer a pillar man because he became the ultimate life form
If you think about it Kars has the ability of light Esidisi flames Wammu wind Santana well not so much And remember in one scene where kars fought stroheim And stroheim says "This new body is based on the pillar men in mexico!" Then kars casually replies with "Santana was just a Guard dog.. He was nothing compared to us" So it was clear kars played favorites And since wammu could do all sorts of crap with his wind That was enough for kars to just think of santana as a dog Damn thats deep
In the manga there's a scene where Kars is telling his companions that they just have to forget about Santana, and they didn't really question it. Wish we knew more about the backstory.
I think the original Pillar Men are only as powerful as vampires like Dio, and have the same abilities/strength as vampires. The shriveled corpses at 0:56 reminds me of vampire victims whose blood have been sucked dry. I think that's what 'absorb' in this context really means. They also use weapons like spears and blades, so they definitely didn't have extending ribcages, horns that are capable of moving, or arm blades like the four Pillar Men. Some people think that original Pillar Men absorb other creatures into their body like Santana did, but personally, I think they just 'absorb' it through suction using their claws or fangs (like vampires). Santana has been exposed to the mask, which is implied by his ability to absorb creatures directly and contort his body at will, and also that one carving that shows the four Pillar Men with their elements implies that Santana's element is water. As far as I know, Pillar Men only get elemental powers after they used the mask. That's why I think that the original Pillar Men are much weaker than Santana and more similar in strength to vampires. What I'm curious about is the significance of the number of their horns. Is it just a genetic thing that varies from family to family, or does it control their powers/abilities? Most of the people in the flashback has either one, two, or three horns. I don't see any of them having more than three in the flashback (or maybe I'm just not that observant), yet Esidisi has five horns. I wonder if it indicates hierarchy or something like that?
While Kars is laughing like a Maniac, i think he's sad because his best friend is killed by Joseph. That's why he want to kill Joseph first before Conquer the world.
Yeah They lived already content with their lives. Only consuming what they need to. And they kept their population low since they lived incredibly long lives so their natural death rate was also almost nonexistent. Kars was the one who wasn't and wanted to evolve further. Esidisi followed in his Ideology
Too bad the Pillar Men did not think things through about the worse case scenario if their attempt to kill Kars went south and could have sent some of their people away into hiding, and ensure their race's survival and finish what they started.
Imagine if Wamuu found out the truth of how Kars slaughtered his entire race. Would he still be loyal to Kars? Or would he have betrayed Kars and joined forces with Joseph?
I feel like Wamuu's seen as a litttttle bit more objectively good by human moral standards than he actually is by fans just because his personal passions are in satisfying and honorable battle. He cares a lot about competing in contests of strength with anyone worthy, but killing and the concept of enemies/humanity isn't super relevant to him outside what they can offer him as a warrior, so we get scenes such as Wamuu eating mark/the soldiers/laughing at weaklings/considering keeping a stock of vampires as normal. His perspective is quite different from a human's. He's certainly still got those admirable traits and struggles with killing a child of the hamon tribe, but considering he's already seen Kars do that for him and retains complete loyalty for the men who raised him, I don't think betrayal would be very on the table outside what we already saw in killing the vampires prior to his death. Wamuu knows firsthand how ruthless and pragmatic Kars is and we've seen him react by backing down when his request for a match against joseph was denied until LisaLisa made her bluff. I don't think he's under any illusion that Kars thinks the same as him about honor because of that, since Kars also pretty openly discusses their disagreements several times. If anything they'd just talk it out once again, they've been together for 10,000 years at this point. That and the truth about the incident is pretty much that their people tried to kill Kars over concern for something Kars had by now made a non issue in hindsight so his 2 master's actions would probably seem pretty logically in line with what he already knows about them at that point considering the 4 and later 3 of them also went around wiping out threats to themselves before hibernation. All this makes the dynamics between the 3 more interesting though I think.
So based on the fact that the pillar men used weapons when attacking Kars and Esidisi, is it possible to say that one's "mode" is a result of wearing the mask and not a natural evolution?
The narrator mentions that their abilities were prolonged lifespans and invulnerability, nothing related to the Pillarman's ability to control life and bodies (their own or other's), so yes I think both their power to invade and manipulate bodies, as well as regeneration and elemental modes were from the mask. Vampires also seem to get similar abilities, so I guess "Pillarman" is just the vampiric upgrade of this unnamed race, it's quite possible that they can use the Freezing Blood and Space Ripper Eyes techniques if they desired, but never did due to simply having better options
That one white haired pillar woman was just there for a few seconds of short screen time and the fandom still managed to awaken their own pillars with so much fanart non the less.
Kars and Diavolo formed the two halves of powers DIO acquired from the relevant artifacts he got from them indirectly. The Stone Mask gave his immortality, vampiric powers and the Arrow gave him The World.

The vikings could knew his deformed story, and deform it again to give birth to their trickster god.

A brilliant mind, trying to overcome the crippling weakness of his people to the light of the sun. So he worked and worked and worked, for centuries, perhaps millenia, on this great project to better his people. And as soon as he made the first great step to that goal, his people turned on him in fear. Nothing could be permitted to stand in the way of his goal. Not his own people, not the users of Hamon, not his own followers. Fighting fair didn't work out for them? Then he would be a sneaky bastard. Anything to win. And it worked. His sacrifices were worth it. Until a cocky American teenager used a volcano to launch him into orbit. @@thewatcher751 that was what the pillar people believed, it doesn't make it true. Ultimate Lifeform wouldn't even need to consume other living things. They were retarded and afraid of change.
Esidisi and Whamu both had some satisfaction in their deaths... Whamu dying in a great battle was his dream and more important to him than surviving to serve Kars, and Esidisi loved Kars so much that he repeatedly squandered chances to escape after loosing because he wanted to stop the hamon users from intercepting the package. Kars on the other hand died a living death at the hands of the teenage human who took everything he cared about from him. It's honestly too cruel a fate. Allegedly, Lisa Lisa would have been more prominent in the original manga, with more emphasis on her abbilities as a hamon user, but the idea was scrapped at least partly due to Araki's editor.

Ngl I want a side series of the story of how Kars became the way he is and how he created the stone mask

Mama Kars and Daddy ACDC
I think Kars is the daddy and esidisi is the mommy :))
So based on the fact that the pillar men used weapons when attacking Kars and Esidisi, is it possible to say that one's "mode" is a result of wearing the mask and not a natural evolution?
I think Kars, Esidisi and Whammu are stronger than the average pillar man because of the mask
Correct.

If all the deaths from AC/DC,wamuu, and kars Kars’s death hit me the hardest I don’t know why but it felt sad watching him float in space
