Welcome aboard, Metal Kitty. You are embarking on (along with many others - 120 million YT views!) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (over 100 songs with their latest album, “Unseen World”), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ua-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/v-deo.html Their later songs from albums Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Warning, No God, H-G-K, Black Hole, Different, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts! And many are represented with nearly 40 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts. Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 (bandmaidprime.tokyo) and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids are excellent. Here’s four of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. These two taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: ua-cam.com/video/__1th7ctgMo/v-deo.html, and a fun, wonderful live performance in Amsterdam of Miku introducing "Don't You Tell Me" (with MISA & Kanami's great instrumental exchange) and "Turn Me On” (with MISA's solo intro): ua-cam.com/video/kfYQoWBlSpk/v-deo.html. This is the most fun band to watch and listen to on the planet. My suggestion for your next Band-Maid song is Different (MV), Black Hole (live), Real Existence (MV/live), or Blooming (MV). They have over 100 songs, some heavy and some soft, but all are good. Enjoy your happy Band-Maid journey, PO (P_O)🕊💕
I'd like to suggest you look at the latest video on their channel. It's a two-for-one online LIVE of their songs "Manners" and "Black Hole". These two songs from their latest album Unseen World will really give you a good idea of their range of styles.
Welcome to Band-maid , Metal Kitty , Here's a little info on the band , formed in 2013 by Miku Kobato (aka) Small pigeon , Has Red Rose in hair , band founder worked at Japanese maid café , plays Rhythm guitar , 2nd vocals n writes lyrics , Kanami Tono , Lead guitar / Shredder , writes n arranges the music , Akane Hirose (aka) Gorilla on Drums , MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! (aka) the Barefoot Bass Assassin on Bass , Saki Atsumi (aka) Ice Queen , has Blue Rose in hair , Lead Vocals , fan base known as Maidiac`s , There first MV was Thrill from 2014 , other songs Domination , Freedom , Play all live , MVs Dice , Daydreaming , Blooming . Rinne , they have over 100 songs , enjoy your journey down the pigeon hole .
One of the great things about this song is that, even after six very different albums, plus a bunch of singles (where the "B-sides" were just as good) and an alter-ego album, it still made fans go "What the HELL IS EVEN HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?!?"And then, once those fans (at least those with some open-mindedness) wrapped their heads around it after a few listens, it left them prepared to appreciate things that were going to happen on the next album.
Well... I would say it has started with their cover of Honey. It seems Kanami liked the idea of this speed metal and felt that BAND-MAID needs a similar song of their own making. Hence, Screaming. And then it continued with Dilemma, and then Different. And then we've seen Unseen World, and it's an entirely new beast, on a level even higher than before. Probably BLACK HOLE is a successor of Screaming, Dilemma, and Different, what do you think?
@@VladimirChupin There does seem to be a progression, which after all fits their manifesto: "Groove Beginning Difficult --> PROGRESS Courage Evolution Beyond expectations, be clever Always challenging Break through limits" Even the word "Progress" sounds like a Band-Maid song title.
Thanks Metal Kitty for listening to Band-Maid. They are definitely more Hard Rock then metal. But they do combine metal influences into some of their songs. Try their MV - Rinne from their YT channel. Peace.
Best Rock Band of the last 30 years. I grew up in the Golden Age of Rock/Metal (80's-90's). The drummer, bassist and lead guitarist could easily hold their own against the Legends of Rock/Metal. One of the few bands I've ever known to be so stocked with talent.
funnily enough "different" is actually different from other Band Maid songs in many ways (the structure is rather kind of weird for a BM song for example), as it was writen as a 90 sec. intro for the Log Horizon anime (this is obviously the long version). But at least it wasn't a 7 year clip in which all the members were doubtfull about the future of the band and were still trying to find their markings and Miku (rhythm guitar/second vocals, wears a red rose) used her guitar as an excessively massive necklace. She can actually play now and even has her own (and super nice) signature Zemaitis guitar. Thanks for following my recommendation about that :)
They have like 100 good songs. Really depends on what style you want to listen to. Band maid is very diverse. Their new album unseen world that came out early this year was a 10 out of 10 from me. Pop punky style i'd say choose me. Heavier rinne, And the live version of manners(more 70s funky rock) which leads into a heavish fast song black hole.
Welcome to Band-Maid! This band is truly at their best when they're singing live. So I would like to suggest you react to their Official Live music videos from their UA-cam page. Start with "Domination Official Live", then "Onset Official Live" (instrumental), "Freedom Official Live" (awesome drum solo), and then "Manners/Black Hole Official Live".
Rinne by them is one thing they've done which is pretty much pure metal, but they make frequent metal moves in other songs. And jazz moves and punk moves and blues moves and pop moves and ... they're musical magpies in fact! Although they're still describing themselves as hard rock that label doesn't do justice to the increasing complexity of their music IMO, and I'm sorely tempted to call them heavy progressive. But what do I know?
This is off topic, but Japanese English is basically "Japaneseized". Few people need English in their lives. Therefore, it is used as a means of communication between Japanese people to soften or emphasize the meaning of words and to match the rhythm. In general, we are studying forcibly, but since we are studying because we think that we will never use it, we can not speak or write in English in the end, but we remember the meaning of the word a little. ..
@@TheMetalKitty Japan has gradually become a new cultural Mecca of the world. It has started with anime proliferation, and now they take over the world with their music. I've heard Americans say that "Rock is not dead, it has just migrated to Japan!" And yes, Japanese rock and metal are inherently optimistic. Even when BAND-MAID sings about death and destruction, in the end, they always make a statement that our destiny is in our own hands. Be strong, persevere, and the gods will extend you a helping hand...
Welcome to the pigeon hole . Band Maid is best rock band in the world .Try Band Maid song Glory. Blooming and Choose Me, were just featured in a Netflix movie Kate where Band Maid themselves were performing Choose Me. Great react can't wait to see more . Long Live the PO !
The Hell? Band Maid, Nemophila and Unlucky morpheus(Ankimo)....man that's my playlist right there for the last year and i still find new stuff in each song to get caught off guard
Different would not be my recommendation fir a first exposure to BAND-MAID. The essential tracks include, in this order: 1. Domination, live, from the Before Times, in front of a huge audience (do this one next, for sure, absolutely) 2. Jump to the present, with No God, from a live stream 3. Then go back to the beginning, with Thrill (MV) and 4. Non-Fiction Days (MV) 5. Freedom (live) 6. Blooming (MV) 7. Daydreaming (MV) 8. Puzzle (MV) 9. Onset (live) 10. Wonderland (live) 11. Manners & Black Hole (live stream) If you get this far, you will want to watch all their videos
Good reaction, thumbs up! Yes Band Maid tends to be fairly up beat (no pun intended). Their song Warning is pretty fast and more metal, though many of Band Maid's songs tend to be more rock.
For a heavier vibe, try "No God" (Live) or the double header "Manners/Black Hole" (live). Crushing talent overflows pretty much anything you pick though.
just to probably reiterate what has been said previously.... they are not a "Metal band" as more a Hard/Heavy Rock band....Firmly planted in the "sphere# of this genre, yet always going beyond the spherical boundary But Band Maid do what Band Maid wanna do... Ballads - Daydreaming, Anemone. About Us... Chuggers.- Choose Me, Bubble (It's a chugger).... Classic Rock - The Dragon Cries, Flying High, Manners... and soooo much more.
To be fair, this is not the best representation of the band as it's a commissioned Anime song. Try: _Onset, Rinne, Warning, Blooming, Moratorium, Puzzle, After life, Black Hole, Dice_ etc... Chur from NZ *\m/*
BAND MAID is a hard rock band, but it's a very diverse band. Listen to different types of songs.
1 Thrill : The first music video that saved them from dissolution. Classic rock 2014
2 Bubble : A tribute to the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, funky rock
3 Different
: First anime opening song, new sense of high-speed rock. Anime is Log Horizon 3rd season.
4 Daydreaming : Beautiful power ballad. Kobato's backing vocals and Kanami's guitar solo are wonderful.
5 Dice : Rhythmic hard rock singing women's independence
6 about us : A gift for fans who cannot meet in a pandemic. Beautiful ballad.
7 Freedom : A power rock that walks around the stage and conveys a smile.
The transition from drum solo to lead guitar is the best.
8 Manners : Declaration to create new hard rock while inheriting classic rock. Cool hard rock. Rock'n'Roll never die.
9 alone : The song they wrote, composed and released for the first time. Medium speed Hard Rock 2016
10 Secret My Lips and Secret Maiko Lips : Funky Hard Rock. A gift for fans of April Fool's Day .
11 Blooming : Vocals and chorus are impressive, and various types of music are fused.

My recommendations are, Play and or Domination, live, for something harder, Warning. The Maids are Awesome, whatever you decide will be good.❤🥁🎸😎👌
MOAR BAND-MAID! Check out their live performances!
For metalheads it has to be rinne, it has a pantera groove but it hasn't. I'm thinking mouth for war 🤘 🤘
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single BAND-MAID song. I think you're going to enjoy the trip. Bon Voyage!
Hahaha Thanks man so far so good 👍
They have like 100 good songs.
MISA!!! MISA!!! MISA!!! 🥃🥃🥃 Badass Bass Assassin. They are the best Hard Rock band in the world right now 🤙🏼
Welcome to Band-Maid!
You know what you know and like what you like and thats all that matter.😸 Amazing band find for me 🤘
This is off topic, but Japanese English is basically "Japaneseized".
Few people need English in their lives.
Therefore, it is used as a means of communication between Japanese people to soften or emphasize the meaning of words and to match the rhythm.
In general, we are studying forcibly, but since we are studying because we think that we will never use it, we can not speak or write in English in the end, but we remember the meaning of the word a little. ..
I want to speak Japanese. But it is also very hard 😕 i think the mixture of both sounds great 🤘💯😸
@@TheMetalKitty Japan has gradually become a new cultural Mecca of the world. It has started with anime proliferation, and now they take over the world with their music. I've heard Americans say that "Rock is not dead, it has just migrated to Japan!"
And yes, Japanese rock and metal are inherently optimistic. Even when BAND-MAID sings about death and destruction, in the end, they always make a statement that our destiny is in our own hands. Be strong, persevere, and the gods will extend you a helping hand...
Am I the only one who hears a huge protest the hero influence in this?? Anyways thanks for the new band!
Check out more on their channel. You'll be very glad 🤘
Not what I expected as your first reaction to them. I'd suggest Domination Live. That's usually my go to these days when suggesting them to someone.
I recommend... the next song. lol. I'll like them all.
Welcome Metal Kitty!
thank you ! 😃
🤘🤘❤🤘🤘 MISA MISA MISA!!!!!!🤘🤘
I highly recommend Domination Live!!!!! 😉❤✌🏼
Since Metal is in your name, I think you'll like BAND-MAID's heaviest most Metal influenced song ever, 'Rinne'. You won't be disappointed. Nuff said.
You deffinately have to do the live version. It's worth it.
3:27 Miku's little pouty face never gets old.
The Hell? Band Maid, Nemophila and Unlucky morpheus(Ankimo)....man that's my playlist right there for the last year and i still find new stuff in each song to get caught off guard
Really!?! Haha cool man 🤘😸
Different would not be my recommendation fir a first exposure to BAND-MAID. The essential tracks include, in this order:
1. Domination, live, from the Before Times, in front of a huge audience (do this one next, for sure, absolutely)
2. Jump to the present, with No God, from a live stream
3. Then go back to the beginning, with Thrill (MV) and
4. Non-Fiction Days (MV)
5. Freedom (live)
6. Blooming (MV)
7. Daydreaming (MV)
8. Puzzle (MV)
9. Onset (live)
10. Wonderland (live)
11. Manners & Black Hole (live stream)
If you get this far, you will want to watch all their videos
Good reaction, Metal Kitty !! I suggest you Real Existence live
wow! all of your comments are the best! keep them coming! you guys ROCK!
ONSET
DOMINATION
MANNERS
THRILL
Best Rock band in the world. They've toured Europe and the US for years. Mainly small to medium venues.
Have you done Nemophila yet??
yes...and Hanabie and Lovebites....but stay tuned...i got lots more bands to discover
Good reaction, thumbs up! Yes Band Maid tends to be fairly up beat (no pun intended). Their song Warning is pretty fast and more metal, though many of Band Maid's songs tend to be more rock.
"Dice" and "Real Existence" live or MV are great. "Rinne" is bit harder and punkish. You really can't go wrong.
An underated band from Japan - Sokoninaru (Gou Ni Moyu is probably one of their more straight forward songs )
🤘🇹🇭🤘
I love watching people lose their BAND-MAID cherry!
Was it good for you too?
smokin a cigg right now lol ...:-D
Please react to Ningen Isu "Baptism" or (more recent) "Heartless Scat".
Another group to check out is Hanabie and their song We Love Sweets. They're an up and coming band that it starting to get a lot of traction.
Check out my video i did on them! Love Hanabie 💘
@@TheMetalKitty DOLL$BOXX "Shout Down" 🔥🙏🏻
@2abug they coming up soon
For a metal girl? Rinne is the next song :-)
To be fair, this is not the best representation of the band as it's a commissioned Anime song.
Try: _Onset, Rinne, Warning, Blooming, Moratorium, Puzzle, After life, Black Hole, Dice_ etc...
Chur from NZ *\m/*

Hi sister.. I am from Indonesia.. Please reaction my favorite band.. Name is Voice Of Baceprot.. Song (God Allow Me Please to Play Music).. Thanks...
ill check them out \m/
As great as they are, I can't help the feeling that they are just nice kids playing dressing up - not metal at all.
