The drone probably was saying “Greetings allies. How are you doing” before being killed. Man, Duran’s treachery probably hurts Dralisko more than than it did to Jim in the regular Broodwar. Duran here was a father figure and had known Draliska for a long time.
I just can't wait for the start of StarCraft 2, Draliska drinking alone in a bar, pining over a photo of Infested Duran...
Surely Raynor isn't dead, he must have made it into espape pod but crash somewhere, causing lost memory. Later the new Terran army will find him stranded here but he will adopt a new name: The MAN.
First Fenix, now Muradin, how many aliases can THE MAN possibly acquire?
His robotic copy
Defensive Cluster can summon uncontrolable Raynor.
Draliska shouting out James instead of Jim or Raynor broke my heart. He had so much respect to refer Jim as James.
"Your amusement does not concern me." funny as hell, nice job with the dialogues here seriously.
Draliska gets the spotlight here, but Zasz's lines are great too. Especially the final line "Swarm will endure even I die" captures the character perfectly. Not only is he not afraid of death, but he also puts the Swarm before himself, remaining a royal servant till the very end, like a true cerebrate.
Rather different tone from the badass "You ain't taking Edmund Duke without a fight"
Hello!
I downloaded the UEDCommander version but I wanted to try the AI version. Is the installation mainly the same? Put it in the appropriate folders and then launch the exe file? Or do I have to overwrite everything?
You should overwrite them.@@toumorokoshi1619
@joonjoon819 It seems then that Zasz was more like his canon self then I realized. Looking back, he only acted up on Mar Sara because the Overmind ordered him to and he only defected because the Overmind had failed to lead the swarm properly and was endangering the swarm with his weakness.
Regarding Draliska, will he get addicted to vespine gas now like how Raynor took to drinking?
@@ExecutorNral Thank you for the quick reply!
R.I.P. James Raynor 😢
I hope you'll come back as an AI Battletank in the alternate sequel just like Fenix.
a robot more like it
And he will rename himself in the last mission as Talandar Raynor.
lmao
Leading the alternate Genetron!
Zergling: 'All spawn prepare for a counterattack. Duran managed to surprise us whilst we were mending, but it's now time to show them the might of the swarm.'
My heart actually pumping when you on the way to kill Raynor
On the side note, the script is much more better here than Original in my preference, like Draliska always said, AMUSING
Uh oh, Hunter Killer "Amusing" Draliska didn't say "amusing" a single time during his dialogue. That's how you know he's royally pissed. He found it amusing even after Kerrigan abandoned Duran, but not here. His anger can't be contained.
This is the culmination of their tragic bromance. Duran taught Draliska "human" characteristics such as friendship and emotions when he first woke into sentience. But now that same Duran became a remorseless bloodthirsty monster, murdered Draliska's second friend, and it's devastating for Draliska to see what his mentor and best friend has become.
Ps) Also realized Draliska didn't even say "hunt" either. (although he alludes to it by saying "prey") He really is that sad and furious.
It's great callback to how Kerrigan did it in the original. She was betrayed and forced to become a monster, but after being from control of the Overmind, she commited her crimes out of her own free will, which is even worse.
@@masterexploder9668
Here, Duran is the one who taught Draliska to become something better than a mindless monster, but now Draliska is forced to watch as Duran becomes that exact same monster he was taught not to be. Such a well written tragedy.
Draliska is starting his THE MAN arc now
It has begun. Draliska is now THE MAN.
Seeing that "Kill Raynor" in the mission objectives felt so wrong.
That is a rather interesting thing, tbh - the idea of Raynor dying seems rather outlandish for SC community, and barely ever occurs even in weirdest stories out there.
Draliska has such a chad voice for a hunter killer.
Well, I guess there'll be less of a chance that Draliska would spare Duran because of an old love affair....
Somehow Raynor taking over Fenix's role makes it more painful since Terrans have limited capacity of cyborg/consciousness of a human mind inside a robot body
And it doesn't help too that my addiction towards Library of Ruina makes it all the more gutwrenching since if Raynor becomes a Terran Purifier, he has to deal with the fact that his mind can think of human instinct like hunger/pain/libido, etc that the robot body cannot provide. If it were still, it doesn't make sense techwise.
Fenix has no problem since Protoss already mastered their role as The Form, so he could relive as much as he wants without any failure or distractions above.
I just feel bad for this version of Raynor now, honestly.
tbf, the Brotherhood of Iron in Library are still literal human brains inside robot bodies which is why they feel those same urges. a "terran purifier" would be more similar to Angela, being a digital copy of the human brain, a true robot, rather than still-human with even a trace of the biology remaining. granted, being the SC universe's equivalent of Angela is not really a fate I'd feel good for Raynor to be resigned to either.
If I ever made SC2 Alternate, Raynor and Dehaka would definitely stay dead. I really dont like characters just suddenly coming back from the dead like its no big deal, especially with basically zero effort involved. Not everyone gets to live happily everafter.
On a side note, I do find it peculiar that Raynor's death is something so unthinkable by starcraft community. Come to think of it, there are barely any stories that do that.
Quite frankly I never really cared much for Raynor's character in the og game, to me he just felt like he was there to fulfill the role of the normal man thrown into hell so we could understand what was going on. Fenix's death hurt because he was a genuine hero and I think Kerrigan regretted the circumstances that put him as a potential enemy but she couldnt give two shits about betraying Mengsk and killing Duke. I see the situation more like that Kerrigan wanted Mengsk's power base gone but she could not do it without eliminating the Protoss as well. The whole situation and dialogue between Kerrigan and Raynor is tragic because Raynor is correct while Kerrigan is clearly in denial and knows it. You can clearly see the conflict in the mission briefing when she sighs and then says they must all be eradicated then saying she grows weary of the slaughter. There's this sense to me that Kerrigan without the Overmind is 100% human psychologically and she is using the Zerg/power as a tool to protect herself from further harm and trauma which is her entire Queen of Blades persona which is in conflict with the person she used to be that still exists there. Basically her entire Queen of blades persona and actions in brood war is a heavily traumatized woman with too much power in her hands and lacking a good therapist.
I think neither you nor Blizzard's writers understand the implications of the Terran Adjutant. Adjutant-level of AI, which is not just mere fancy LLM like chatGPT, but capable of utilizing sensory inputs to construct world-model and recursive auto-association/pathfinding, is the point at which you can pretty much replicate the entire human "mind". As for the basal human instincts/emotion, I don't think there would be any problem if you don't replicate the "lizard brain", just the neo-cortex. Of course, that would mean a much more logical, calculating, non-simp Raynor AI.
I dunno. Maybe some of his memories would live on amongst the Alternate Genetron.
I actually want this to be followed up on in a StarCraft 2 Alternate lmao
Without Draliska suddenly simping / longing for Duran, hopefully... The dialogue here was great!
Robot Raynor
@@maledikt You and me both, pal.
"Duran... What have you done?"
"What I... had to..."
"Tell that to Raynor! Tell that to millions you slaughtered!"
RIP Jimmy. Perhaps in another timeline he’ll become THE MAN and rule the universe with his overpowered stim pack attack speed.
And everyone will retreat to a nearby and light world to have their last stand...
Man-Emperor of Mankind
The Dialogue especially the Raynor is just🔥🔥🔥
Once again, I have to give credit for really impressive writing. The adaptation of the old dialogues to the new characters, their mannerisms, and the overall context of the situation is simply amazing.
Tell that to Raynor! Tell it to the millions you destroyed!
~Hunter Killer Draliska
The zerg in this alternate timeline REALLY learned from the protoss from the original timeline like damn both Draliska and Zasz final speech were top literature
To be fair, Zasz was a cerebrate, age-wise probably older than the average Protoss because of that whole reincarnation thing. It's Draliska who really stands out, since Hydralisks are supposed to be mindless hive underlings. But he woke up thanks to the Zerg Pirates of Moria.
Its actually really comforting to read something like this about something you wrote. Thank you
@@UEDCommander no way I recognize you. You are the author of this campaign and the maker of a lot of UED custom units videos on youtube.
I must commend you for keeping this game for as long as you have, you are indeed a worthy creator
@@UEDCommander Thank you too! Your project had really made many Starcraft fans happy and broadened our horizons! Your project is not just changing factions between each other, but also changing maps and mechanics. I especially liked the Primal Zerg race, you managed to make them something extraordinary, something different from the usual Zerg and yet something that is Zerg in its gameplay's core. Congratulations!
Yeah, UED commander stepped up his dialogue chops every campaign episode.
"It will be Written. On your Grave." is hella stone cold
The name’s Rames Jaynor pal, and I won’t be talked down to by anybody, not even an alternate world Xel’Naga.
The dialogs are very well written. Duran has some good points, as nobody is innocent here, but in the end he still betrays everybody even his friend.
7:41 epic dialogue together with the view of the archons merging
Draliska is indeed... THE HYDRA.
The Hydraliska.
@@macielos1512 Fun fact: "Hidralisca" means "Hydralisk" in portuguese
He is the HUNTER KILLER!
I'm starting to like Alternate Duran over the original Queen of Blades more.
Raynor kinda forgot Hyperion has a warp drive.
Canon Duke forgot this too.
Raynor, no!
Well will he be back as an AI, with a memory getting defeated by bunch of dragoons and lost his legs, still decided to have some fun in the cold, robotic shell of a vulture bike someday?
Can I just say that Draliska is the best Zerg character so far? Even including the canon ones, he is far better written. Also, I find it funny that Duran berates Raynor for (essentially) defending themsleves from being conquered / assimilated by the Protoss in part 1 of this timeline...
:)
Draliska called Raynor "James." That's how you know he considered him a true friend.
meanwhile in alternate SC2,
I never gave up on you duran, dont you give up on us!
Imagine if this continued into StarCraft 2 as a mod for the campaigns
This is Kerrigan's worst nightmare, I like to think in canon BW she dreams of StarCraft Alternate every night and awakens in a cold sweat.
These dialogues are truly something else. This campaign really gives the player emotional attachment despite it being an RTS with 80% gameplay. The dialogues between Raynor and Duran was short but it was GOOD.
The dialogues here were exquisite!, this outmatches the original story by miles
Amazing work with the voiceovers Nral!
For someone who knows english only as a second language, thats really nice to hear. Im always extremely worried that my dialogue seems blunt and unnatural, and its pretty comforting to hear otherwise. Thank you
I won't dare say outmatches, more like, it completes it.
@@UEDCommander You're doing an excellent job.
Draliska be like:
Killing Zsaz: this one sparks amusement
Killing Raynor: this one does not spark amusement
Sad moment for Jimmy. With all respect possible to the original scene, this one seems somehow much more emotionally charged, Draliska's speech is totally something to remember. I know there were haters of the idea of zerg being intelligent or even emotional beings, as this is the direction that Blizz took in the last few games, but i like it. I do think zerg deserve some character developement, not to become goodie goodie 2 shoes, but still to have something more than just being beasts of war. Draliska even as a custom fan-made character is something else!
Yes but, Raynor in original said "I am the man who gonna kill you someday", ant it was so epic (and also Nral make 10000 memes about it) , but I am agree what the large qoute of Draliska is better than Raynor in original. So Alternate and Original have their pluses and minuses - Alternate is not so epic, but emotional, but Original is really epic, but not so emotional. Also I want to see quote of Duran: Tell that to Raynor etc.
A door opens brutally. Draliska see Duran as Infested Ghost.
Draliska: Duran?
Draliska see Duran as Dark Templar.
Draliska: No.
Duran: I have to get you out.
Draliska: What have you done?
Duran: What I have to.
Draliska: Tell that to Raynor. Tell that to the minions you brutal.
Duran: You swear you kill the Dark Templar. You are the only one who believing me. Do you still believing me?
Draliska angry. Then fire 1 shot. Now fire 5 shots rapidly. All 6 shots fly nearby Duran's face about 1cm.
Duran: I love you. I will never forget it.
Draliska: We are done.
Draliska leave alone.

Come to think of it, she might be posing as something like a creature in Abathur's position. Blabbing about essence.

In another universe:
Shakuras has been given back to the Nerazem and the Tal'darim been pushed back!
But the battle was very exhausting and many of the Terrans are recovering. However, Fenix informs Zeratul Raynor that his "allies" are also recovering as well and if left unchecked, could outnumber him worse than the Tagal did. So in order for Raynor's plans to be realised, he has to launch a surprise attack while everyone's pants are down. (I think lore-wise, Zeratul was combined with the body of Jim Raynor so he has both Zeratul's long memories of negative suns mixed with that of a harsh colonial upbringing of Jimmy before he got killed in the Guild Wars)
So Raynor asks Fenix to use his forces to do this attack, focusing on the Yggdrasil/Cerebrate Zasz and Judicator Aldaris. Tassadar would also be a good choice but his location is unknown.
Fenix sets up a signal jammer but says that they have six minutes before the jamming wears off so time is of the essence.
After some fighting and fighting and sneaking and fighting, the bases awaken and the battle begins proper.
Aldaris is in his carrier, the Gantrithor and when he is attacked, her finds your actions to be laughable and explains that the will of the Nerazem is powerful, more so than the Conclave. He also says that if he were in charge, he would have just killed Zeratul and never let him become a twisted abomination mixed with a pathetic Human.
Zeratul also says the same thing pretty much, except about when Aldaris crashed his Carrier, he had hoped the Terrans would have killed him. But now it's time to end this!
Aldaris then just says "Amusing." and the fight begins.
After his defeat, Raszagal is angry that Raynor broke the agreement. She thought Terrans would be at least more trustworthy than the Protoss and their scheming. But Raynor is like "Nah, we're all like this. Besides I am a hybrid of both of the worst schemers." He also explains that with Shakuras taken, he has no need of the Dark Templar but not to worry, the Matriarch can watch as the man creates a new Terran empire and she will know that it's all her fault for allowing it to happen. Be seeing you. (Yeah OK these quotes are getting repetitive)
Zasz remarks how much of a betrayal this whole thing is but is also impressed. Some quotes here and there about lessons learned from Kerrigan before Zasz says he will bring doom to Raynor's forces. Raynor says he'll turn Zasz into a tree.
Zasz then killed by Irradiate from a Science Vessel as he's just a Yggdrasil and his elite forces get killed by the green cloud...
Tassadar is upset by this most foul betrayal and swears vengeance upon whatever wretched creature Zeratul has become. He doesn't know when though, but he will be the warrior to take down Raynor. He should watch his sensors carefully because one of those signatures could be a a Protoss capital ship steering a collision course right for him.
And with that, Raynor decides it's time to take his forces to Tarsonis to deal with those Tal'darim and their control over the Dominion.
Greetings! I am making an alternate campaign that is somewhat similar that the one are you putting in there. I just finished the Episode I and I'm looking for a site to upload it as long new episodes are ready.
So stay tuned!

Neat!
Now all I need to do is reactivate my Blizzard account, purchase Starcraft Remastered (because I don't have a CD drive for my classic Starcraft), install it, remember the nostalgia of playing it, realise I'm bad at the game, then play a few of the maps I knew in the past then play the alternate alternate campaign :D
I think to make this more meaningful, Tassadar will still have called him Zeratul up to this point. But as soon as the line is crossed, he would call the man before him Raynor now that he considers his old friend as dead.
Me (Watching Zerg Forces died): "Good riddance Zasz"..
Me (Watching Terran Forces died): *How could this happen to me...*
Inb4 RaynorGPT is founded in a Moebius Foundation's facility bombarded by the real, full-might, UED
At least this version is far less anticlimactic than killing the heroes with scourges and broodlings XD
I liked the name "Draliska" so much that I decided to create an Orc with it in WoW. It sounds perfect for it. (I hope that's okay)
As the original creator of Draliska, I appreciate that!
@@KaiserMattTygore927 Thank you for saying that. I’m happy to hear ^^
Hello guys! I'm making a new campaign inspired by this Alternate series. I just finished today the Episode I where you play a Protoss version of Rebel Yell, and I'm looking for a site to upload it as long new episodes are ready.
So stay tuned!
It funny how all Protoss call Jim just "Terran"
While in canon they almost all remember his name
That recall was *chef's kiss*. You truly overcame your enemies with the might and fury that is your heritage!
I saw @UEDCommander in these comments but I have to say, I've really enjoyed the writing he put into this alternate campaign. While I understood some of these choices had to be business decisions, it was really a nice change of pace to see how alternate characters reacted and created situations for themselves. This mission in particular I adore cause you essentially create layers to new characters and alternate ones for the old ones. A story being retold from a different angle creates a new perspective on how Blizzard could've made better decisions or when their good ones really shined.
I wonder, since you have dark templar, do you think about to mind control both of them? Or mind control is not available?
Daaamn. The most emotionally charged mission of Starcraft 1 does not disappoint in this timeline.
I can only surmise that since the Hybrids are a standard unit for the Protoss under Duran, that there will be an alternate entity that functions the same role as Hybrids in the mission where Zeratul (here Stukov) discovers some abominable entity being made by Duran (here Raszagal). I'm hazarding a guess that it might be the Purifiers as a sort of abominable combination of Protoss and Terran technology, designed to eradicate all life that could oppose Amon's (replaced by Voice in the Darkness or something?) return.
Been wondering about a good replacement for the Hybrids. That makes a lot of sense.
Soon AI will be so good, someone will build StarCraft2 race swap including the cinematics 😍
Draliska has a sad habit of losing friends and brothers in arms.
Draliska witnessing Duran's betrayal: "Not amusing."
You killed the man....
Wow, that dialogue was genuinely awesome. The incredible writing was only enhanced by the voice-acting!
Duran is going to look behind his back for the rest of his days now...
The dialogue between Raynor and Duran is GOLD
Did True Colors have a mix of Terran and Protoss? Because this map certainly rectified that with Zerg and Terran on Raynor's/Draliska's side.
It didnt have. Nice addition made for the Alternate
When James Raynor is not THE MAN any more.
Nooooo 😢
Ill always hate Duran for this. I hope he gets what he deserves in starcraft 2.
In that dialogue between Raynor and Duran... I almost though... Raynor would come out on top
another day, another great episode
Very amazing to watch even character's role are swapped, the dialogue reflects who they really are
Drones replacing civilians with their clueless chatter, 3 armies losing to 1 army, rich dialogue; far better than the main timeline, no sadistic smugness in Duran that was all too common in Kerrigan
And much more convincing coldness and conviction from Draliska than Raynor ever showed.
I said it before, I'll say it again, this timeline has it all.
I will also admit that if this timeline were to go the distance and the WoL alternate gave an excuse that Draliska suddenly had to stop hunting Duran and try to remove his protoss DNA, then I would expect him to have more pragmatic evidence than Raynor ever did, even if they both know a thing about "compassion" and "loyalty". I would also count on him not simping over Duran in the HotS alternate beginning.
Hello, everyone.
What is more epic and sad for you: the death of Fenix and quote of Raynor, or the death of Raynor and qoute of Draliska? Write in answers.

Honestly, it's a tough choice. I slightly prefer it here, as the dialogue seems less likely to be followed by Draliska longing for Duran in a hypothetical SC Alternate 2
This one is sadder. The original is more epic.
@@alphadios2003 Agree
In Starcraft Alternate 2, Heart of the Protoss, Draliska will not forgive Duran like a simp.
Or maybe he'll make it clear that...
Draliska: The only reason you are still alive is because the prophecy demands it, nothing more.
I know this story and yet the race switch is so well done is feels like a whole new adaptation.
I remeber the version I played Draliska say something like "Remember I am hunter killer Draliska I will hunt you and kill you"
After some thought, if alternate 2 is possible, I want to see Fenix getting emotional after Draliska’s death. Grant him a speech that rivals this one.
Zasz no!!!!
Not again!! 😅
Ive honestly always wanted a "What If" campaign where instead of Fenix dying its Reynor. Maybe im just biased towards Fenix, but hes always been my favorite character
He died way earlier off screen
This how Draliska went mental...
Took you long enough - you can actually kill yellow in sneak attack (even red, but it's very difficult) I remember having a lot of trouble with resources in this one .... I still wonder where are all crimson talons or hybrids from previous mission
Does this mean that Draliska and Duran are going to get a crappy love story in SC2 with Draliska being a simp...?

The deed is done... a few more missions and a secret map and it's culminating into Omega. I wonder how in the Khala will the creator do this in the SC 2 Alternate Campaign? The Cinematic maps will be possible yes, and it's easy for them to create game models for Alternate. I wish I'd still see this made lol
Will you use the elite troops of the three tribes with a population of 600 in the penultimate level?

Duran Duran
Can't wait for alternate SC2 where draliska will marry duran, after that they'll kill Kerrigan and UED will save the world.
Executor Nral, I have counselling for you. You can cut some funny, epic, or sad moments from Alternate, Reign of the Void, Reversed, etc., and make shorts with them with link to full video. Because the most of pepople now watching short videos. So you can make more subscribers and more community.
You know, it's always been a bit weird how in the Starcraft campaign missions you usually end the last one with a huge army, but then in the beginning of the next one you have some tiny force and a basic base. But this one is like a couple of hours after the end of the last one, and the briefing makes explicit mention as to how battered your forces are. What happened to that almost 200 supply of guys and thousands of stockpiled resources you had at the end of the last mission?
Considering how you're a Cerebrate working for Kerrigan in the base-game, the same could be said for this one.
Once the mission is over, your leader takes command of your troops and sends them and the resources to another frontline leaving you with a just a small force. And now your new commanding officer is a spec ops guy.
And why do those forces never show up again even on larger missions where you take down fortresses and cities? Because they're busy running distraction efforts so you can get your own forces into the current battlefield of course.
What's the diff between AI Link and Campaign?
AI link has full voiceovers but only the original canpaign. Im still working on the Brood War ai voices
Jimbo! No...
What are you worried about, draliska? He died the way all Terran hope too: In Combat! 😂
No fenix dies in this game.
I finally found the reason why I'm not a huge fan of this timeline, and why I wish factions were swapped in the other way. Instead of Raynor, which here is Draliska, the main character would have been either Fenix or Tassadar, who are two of my favorite characters.
Fenix, Tassadar or Zeratul would have been turned into a Terran-Protoss Hybrid. The Overmind would have rammed its Leviathan in Artcurus Mengsk's palace. The Primal Zerg welcome the survivors of Char, devastated by the Terran scourge. The Ihan-rii Protoss as the invading force in Brood War.
I've been doing a "In another universe" segments for most of the videos now with my idea on what a potential campaign could have been. With Zeratul Raynor being the Kerrigan (because Raynor wouldn't have much to say and either be killed off or just merely mentioned if he was a Cerebrate)
Funnily enough, in the Mirror campaign I've made a script for, neither of those two take Raynor's position.
@@UEDCommanderDid you use Zeratul or Artanis as Raynor's Protoss version ?
