    These bowls have some really good sustain and seem to play really well around the rim for contemporary bowls! I'd love to see a video of this collection of bowls all being played one by one struck with a few different mallets and rim played. I may be interested in a set of 9 bowls C3-C4 and A4 all in (A=432) tuning. Not sure if you only offer them tuned at (A = 440Hz) tuning? I plan on taking the Foundations 1 class in March 2022 hopefully and maybe I can get a better feel for these bowls in person. Thanks!

    • @SimplyNobel
      @SimplyNobel Рік тому

      @@cassandraharrington7189From my limited understanding. 440hz is your standard concert setup. Meaning that if you plan on playing a lot with others you may prefer to get instruments at this frequency.
      I just purchased my first native flute. I have changed my order to 432hz because it is much more in line with the sound of nature and I believe it is more healing for the body. I much more prefer the sound of 432hz when it comes to flute playing. I'm still exploring sound bowls but my hunch is that they too will feel more therapeutic at 432hz.
      Please don't take my word for it. Listen to examples and go with what resonates best for you! Your body will tell you what feels right 😊

    Great, but what how does one choose an octave or note? You didn't explain that at all.
    Also, what's an ideal combo -- and are any in the Schumann Resonance? What hertz is ideal? So many unanswered questions...

    Thank you so much for the great information!
    I am very much interested in the how-to-choose from the aspect of good quality bowl, in difference from a lot of cheap rubbish bowls one can easily find in the stores or online.
    Would you be kind to throw some light on this issue? Maybe with another short video on how to determine whether a bowl is worth buying and using for healing/ meditation purpose?
    Of course deciding only by choosing the expensive one without the basic knowledge wouldn't be a wise move

    I have a question, I’ve been told with crystal bowls the intervals/notes matter a lot but with traditional bowls not so much. Because they have so many overtones that everything will sound beautiful and also there’s not one specific sound. Is this true?
    I’m trying to build a set but the first bowl was a random D#, 624hz 😬

    • @SoundHealingAcademyInt
      @SoundHealingAcademyInt  2 роки тому

      Yes, crystal singing bowls can be quite specific. With Tibetan bowls you just need to pick the method you are going to use. So let’s say if you use 3 Tibetan bowls, you should strike them instead of playing them around the rim and strike them as well, so try to be consistent in simply striking them. You just need to know what frequencies and notes your bowls are when you strike them all, and from that, if you can create intervals, that’s great! If not, you can mix your bowls anyway. You can even use a smartphone app to record the sound and they will tell you your frequency.

    7 inches is anounced in the internet as 3rd eye chakra and Note A. And with the big one you said 9to 10 would be C but in the in Internet it's D and 12" as Rood Chakra is C. So I am really confused now. There is a Himalayas website and they are saying 6" would be eye chakra. So maybe I find even more differences. We have in Dublin a shop, 240 Km from me so I have to order online and I liked the first two together. What inches was that please. There are also seller who sell the bowls with only weight diagram. It would be great if you could help please

      A 3-inch Tibetan singing bowl is a very nice way to start learning how to play this instrument. However, we recommend having a medium-sized one rather than a small one (therefore, a bowl that is around 7-8 inches in diameter).

    Personally I don't give too much attention to pitch/intervals when it comes to metal bowls; there are so many overtones, that's where the the interest is, in my opinion. For clarity of intervals, I focus on quartz bowls and tuning forks.

      Given those bowls are native to India moreso than Tibet (the idea that they're from Tibet is a modern myth, it's much more likely they're either inspired from Hindu bowls or Japanese rin gongs), North India to be exact, which is predominantly Caucasian, I would say you're the racist one here buddy.
