Out of all the things here, the one i missed most was global chat. Sure it can be toxic, full of trolls etc but when you landed on that one global lobby, thats where the interaction happens, thats where the fun is for me back then. Meeting different kinds of people and languange, it actually helped me be somewhat good at english since it is my second languange. And me being a kid back then, it was such an experience for me. I remember being 13 and having a full out religion debate on global chat, a fact or cap kinda debate and disproving each others argument, instead of giving empty insults like nowadays you would see. Funny thing is, after that we said our goodbyes, called it a good one, and went on with our days. Its a core memory of mine due to how weird and wholesome it is, as we started angry and hateful towards each other (or at least i am). and its one of the things i've missed of the old days, how civilized people were even with the worst trolls, and at the end of the day, it doesnt matter who you are, we're just here to have fun.
And if you were a thropy pusher you could show off your league’s badge to random people. And you could also chat while you were in the clouds searching for bases… good times.
The time when coc was so much simpler, with no Builder base, clan games,DE spells, max th10 and no weird fancy troops and only 2 heroes. Damn that coc is so nostalgic.

By letting ur opponent destroy ur town hall and obviously they will obtain 1 star u will get a free shield for 12h and keep in mind that destroying th back then only gives 1k gold and 1k elixir. What about the loots? They are safe on the storages

When the King’s ability is dropping a rage spell that follows him and only affecting barbarians. When the hidden Teslas do double damage to pekkas. When jump spells can act as a beacon to attract your troops. When the freeze spell is a large spell. When there is electric walls that costs 4 million to upgrade at TH10. When the lava hound is a new dark elixir troop for TH10 only.
I remember looking at screenshots of bases and moving every single wall and building trying to make sure it was in the right spot just to realize I was a couple buildings, walls, or spaces off lol those were the days 😂
I remember the days when we had to rearm the traps. I think at first it was like rearming every traps one by one but later it was changed to rearm all traps just by touching on your town hall and rearming from there.(rearming includes Xbow for sure. About Infernos and artillery I am not sure)
OH MY! I remember being th3 and unlocking giants, I spent every last drop of elixir training a full 50 spaces of them (10 giants), got raided and lost them all! I was so upset. It took me months to get enough elixir from my collectors to train a new army!

My Dad played at around the end of 2013. Me and my older cousin would gather around to watch him play. We all made the mistake of putting walls on the outskirts of the base thinking they can place troops inside. I got the game when I got my first iPad in 2014 on Christmas, and have had the 2014 tree ever since. Now my dad is the max th which I think is 14 now? My older cousin was always behind me in town halls but then I stopped playing for two years and he passed me. Currently I’m a level 10 and my cousin is lvl 11.
My dad usually doesn’t play video games but he loved clash of clans from day 1 (he is actually struggling with what to do with builder gold (he is max))
I got all of my coc memories back, everything you mentioned in the video , I experienced them all, we have came a long way since then...many times I uninstalled it and after some time I used to come back to the game, I miss those days ❤️

When the archer towers used to have orange banners and when you used to fix your xbows with elixir and your inferno tower with dark elixir, as well as your traps were repaired with gold every battle.

This is no longer true and she will now only heal Heroes and other Clan Castle troops when defending; if Heroes and Clan Castle troops are taken out, she will do nothing for the rest of the defense." I can also vaguely remember it healing some of my canons.
Everything took forever to train, I remember some Clans I was in would train 2 Golems/2 Pekkas/2 Hounds/a few of each spell so that when they decide on what base to attack they dumped the units they weren't going to use and trained the rest of the army after they attack as soon as war start so their second attack was ready in time; that's also ignoring people making bait war bases (Making and Anti-Hog Base but then swapping it for an Anti-GoWiPe base etc) meaning the first attacks in war were always the least prepared and the weakest.

Defending troops were'nt moving out of the poison spell when you dropped it on them. You just had to wait and they would die slowly. Also the housing space of a wall breaker was only 1 back in 2013.
I remembered that after you destroyed a player's base, you can visit them and still see the demolished structures you've accomplished.

Is it only me , or does anyone else remember that when you activated brab king's ability, a circle or rage would appear and all the barbarians (unlike now, when it only affects the summoned barbarians) were raged . It was so fun using that when I was a th 7 to get huge amounts of loot. Good old days

Kinda funny how these complicated things (training all the troops manually / shaping your base without any tools etc.) made me excited back in the day for some reason. I felt more involved in the life of my base, maybe because i put a lot more effort back then planning everything.

I miss the days when I had to reload my x-bows. The sound it made was satisfying, and if you were low on elixir it would mean you are too broke to reload 😂😭
It was satisfying knowing that your golem tanking the shots was taking more and more elixir to refill it.
I remembering having to spend gold and elixir to reset the traps and defensive buildings earlier on. It wasn’t that long ago but still newer players are unaware of this I guess.
*_Only the Real OG's remember the destruction we use to do by using poison spell after luring cc & deploying poison on to the troops but after the new update the troops would no longer stay in the poison radius until we deploy any our army in the radius of poison_*
Yes! So happy to know I'm not the only one to remember this. You could clear the entire enemy cc with a poison and the troops would still be in its radius and not walk out.

Nah lmao, crystal was easy to reach before, I got it at th6 just by th sniping all the way there, when it was a thing.
When the archer towers used to have orange banners and when you used to fix your xbows with elixir and your inferno tower with dark elixir, as well as your traps were repaired with gold every battle.

"Prior to the September 2014 update, a Healer in a defensive Clan Castle would heal damaged buildings. This is no longer true and she will now only heal Heroes and other Clan Castle troops when defending; if Heroes and Clan Castle troops are taken out, she will do nothing for the rest of the defense."
I can also vaguely remember it healing some of my canons.

Everything took forever to train, I remember some Clans I was in would train 2 Golems/2 Pekkas/2 Hounds/a few of each spell so that when they decide on what base to attack they dumped the units they weren't going to use and trained the rest of the army after they attack as soon as war start so their second attack was ready in time; that's also ignoring people making bait war bases (Making and Anti-Hog Base but then swapping it for an Anti-GoWiPe base etc) meaning the first attacks in war were always the least prepared and the weakest.
I still remember when opponents clan castle troops stayed in poison spell till death ☠️

Defending troops were'nt moving out of the poison spell when you dropped it on them. You just had to wait and they would die slowly. Also the housing space of a wall breaker was only 1 back in 2013.
