I think millennials & Gen Z need to understand marriage & relationship are not the same as it was even 20 years ago. As a Gen X woman (yeah im a woman), I see how much we hv changed culturally. Social media has a lot to do wt this, together with empowerment of girls. None of us, have to do what the previous generation did. There's more to life to develop as a human than the in the doldrums of marriage, accumulation of wealth or even having children. Those things need to fit into our earning power, capacity & lifestyle. This, we must accept. Divorce rates will increase further, living together as well. Dont waste ur time on huge, expensive weddings you cant afford. Esp now. The inflation rates r abt to go thru the roof in Malaysia. Live frugal, learn that nothing is permanent. Divorce or a failed relationship is not a failure at all. Its an opportunity to find many other things in life. Remember, there is absolutely no way we can ever have the same kind of relationship amma appa tata patti had. No need to even reminisce that.
