Ren is a testament that all you need is talent and hard work. No CGI. No Special Effects. No crazy editing. Just his talent and 9 hours of hard work to get this one take down right.
And a lot of friends who are “ ALL IN” when Ren says…I’ve got an idea for this video. Anyone want to be in it?” Even though they know it’s going to be 1) Live 2) One Shot ( and as many as it takes to get the right one from “Action “ to “Cut” and “It’s a wrap.
Being in the mind of REN will have you questioning your entire existence 😂 I was so glad I reread Animal Farm before he dropped the track. The amount of easter eggs in the video are insane 🤯 Also, nursery rhymes are a menace😂 Njom, njom, njom 😂
He was obsessed with beatboxing as a teenager and says that he found beatboxing helped with his flow 🩷 but watching the video while he spoke about his beatboxing had me like 😮 his brain works in marvellous ways
I feel like that went over their head and mine; i l went to watch videos about Animal Farm and Clockwork Orange, the things you mentioned are true ☺ never too old to learn
@@itsakittyting its a tough one for reactors this one iris if someone hasnt watched animal farm or read the novel by george orwell they might dismiss the clue on the whiteboard at the beginning of the video ,ren likes to hide easter eggs in his videos referencing different things to keep it interesting in the visuals aswell as what he is talking about ,im sure there are references i missed but it all adds to the fun lol but by the same token if people dont get the references its still a fire track so everyone wins ,have a great day iris ✌
Also, the pigs reference Lord of the Flies , the cult classic novel by William Golding, about a group of schoolboys shipwrecked on an island. They hunt wild pigs to survive, the older boys ( the hunters) turn on the weaker boys & a bullied boy is murdered. The toad & fish in the bath reference childrens book Wind in the Willows The cats doing the hand dance = nursery rhyme 3 little kittens who lost their mittens. Also I think the "I will be kind" references King Xerxes to the traitor hunchback who defects to his side, in the movie 300.
Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend. No animal shall wear clothes. No animal shall sleep in a bed. No animal shall drink alcohol. No animal shall kill any other animal. All animals are equal.
Glad you enjoyed that but a little tip for you , if you see writing in a Ren video make sure you read it, nothing is ever in his videos that don't need to be there, i hope he does more easter egg type videos as i love trying to spot stuff that most people just walk past. I've lost count of how many reactors haven't even stopped the vid to see what stuff is right in front of their face and then say what was that all about , seek and ye shall find.
It’s all about Orwell’s animal farm. You guys need to do crucify your culture (if you like rage against the machine) and both money game part 1 and 2 (which you can do in a single shot)
@@EMD1028 really? you can't in all honesty claim to "get" all of Ren's bars and lyrics on the first listen? as I get it most reactors get into whatever they react to blind, and trying to get into all of Ren's pockets of hints and knowledge on the first listen while watching his videos AND try to say something that will keep us coming back, that's not a job I'd date to sign up for...
What I noticed about quite a few reactions on that scene by men.. were “there are a lot of p….s (kitties) in that room” makes me laugh every time! Being a woman, that did not come to my mind!
Thank you for the reaction! I think you stood out here: you were open-minded, got onto the song's wavelength and enjoyed it for what it was. The song IS unconventional and listeners with expectations don't always get it. 👏👏👏
How? They missed everything. Based on Animal Farm. Writing on the Wall, this was as generic as a reaction can get. Maybe you don't know who George Orwell is either because if you did you would of not left this comment. Read the book and then re-visit your comment and you will delete it immediately.
@@EMD1028 1. If a Reactor is not familiar with Animal Farm, they cannot be expected to make the connection. You have to realise not all reactors will be familiar with the work. As such, they are left to interpret the music on its merits and its vibe. I enjoyed @Beers & Bars here. 2. I am quite familiar with George Orwell. I was once a student of English Literature.
@@MarkTomblin that's a very fair point. But I'd rather see a reaction where the reactor did just a tiny bit of research before reacting. There are sites who breakdown what song is about without actually hearing the song. But I could just be naive and think that everyone has read book or watched movie. You are correct, majority of Millenials and Gen Z don't read books.
Understand & appreciate both of your perspectives - we indeed aren't too familiar with Animal Farm - and we don't do any research before reacting because that would hurt the natural reaction which is what we're trying to do. Sometimes we hit, and sometimes we miss ✌🍻
@@BeersBars that is a very fair point. I'd rather see a natural reaction to be honest. Maybe you guys missed the writing on the wall in the beginning. Some reactors paused and googled to see it's meaning. But in the end I'm glad you can take constructive criticism and atleast reply respectfully. Props!
This whole song is a tribute to genius minds, starting with Ren's mind. As such, I even understand that it is not easy to follow for certain limited minds. This theme is a package of lyrics, sounds and visuals and requires attention to detail. Welcome to Ren's mind...

CNN Business did a report about how TikTok negatively affects young people and one of the clips they featured was from "Hi Ren" and it was taken completely out of context. He commented on their UA-cam posting (as well as a TONNE of us) and made his own rebuttal video. Last time I looked they hadn't altered the UA-cam version but the version of the video on the CNN Business website has changed the video a little and posted Ren's personal comments regarding "Hi Ren" and it's meaning at the end of the video. I think Ren posted the links in his UA-cam "Community" tab.
