I just got started in the hobby about 3 months ago. I've done a few springers, a few flywheel rewires and now Its time to try external modifications. I'll definitely use some of your videos as a guide.
That's great, more internals than I've ever done lol. Hey join my private FB group and show off what you're doing. Everyone there is super friendly. facebook.com/groups/geekyblinders/
brilliant idea to do the inside also. maybe someone has already mentioned, bit take a quick photo of the inside mechanism before dismantling could make for it to be easy reassembly. thanks for sharing such a good video.
I know I'm a bit late with this, sorry, but with regards to the screws, I normally have a wide piece of masking tape stuck down with the sticky side facing upwards, I then put the screws onto the tape in sequence I take them out, I learnt the hard way and knocked them all over the place when they where on the desk loose... 😉
Hi Delta, yeah I don't mind it, though I have to admit I bought it because I liked the look of it and it was cheap. As for upcoming stuff, I kind of covered that in another video, but off the top of my head, the Nitro stuff (just for fun), Colossal looks cool but I don't think it will release here, I would like an accustrike to see if they are actually more accurate and for looks and insanity The Judge.
You're never going to be able to protect it with anything if it's getting a lot of rough use. Main thing is PREP, so sanding it ALL down and cleaning it before that first coat, then clearcoat at the end. Should hold up pretty well. Hope that helps.
Depends on the paint. Acrylic you can wait like 20 minutes (until it's dry). Spray paint wait longer because if you're doing multiple spray coats they need to be truly dry before you add the next coat, so read the can and add some time.
I saw that it was a couple shades of blue (must have missed the "flat" part), but the highlights were strong enough that i thought i might have missed something, its hard to tell on screen...looks great.
That's cool! I just made up the name because it was like Frankenstein putting parts together to make a monster and I was doing that with Nerf blasters :)
Please bring these back! They're some of the best on UA-cam! Love the vids!
This looks incredible! I thought these looked neat before, but your paint work really bring everything out :)
Aww thanks, sorry I only just saw your comment.
Just fantastic! BTW that clear piece is actually held in with small tabs.
I had no idea at the time clearly lol Thanks Tony!
@@GirlyGamer-BoardGameGran it's hard to see!
I need to learn how to paint my blasters. I'm just getting the hang of internals so external is my next step. You do great work btw
Thank you! I am rubbish at internal work, so you're better than I :)

Very nice! I absolutely love your coloring choice and all the creativity put into this piece.
Thanks Cody, I was still wondering if I should have gone with the green, so glad you liked it.

Yeah I did do that photo thing, I do that whenever I take a blaster apart. Thanks for the tip though, it's definitely a good one :)
I've just grabbed 3 used ones from eBay, so I am definitely going to try this! Thanks for the video.
Thanks so much for watching!
Put the screws in the shape of the gun, brilliant!
"It's the only way to be sure" ;)
I hope I can come close to this, it looks so good. You’re the best

That's a really great tip, thanks John.
You’re the coolest! Luv the video
That is so good I would love to have one of those customised like that!!
Aww thanks Koby, appreciate you took time to leave a nice comment.
Great stuff Nerfenstein. Do you like this blaster? And are you excited for any upcoming stuff?

Thats so awesome!
Love the detail
Wish I could do that
You can... just start ;)
Nice job!👌...
Thanks a bunch.
Very very great !! please go on for our pleasure
Love it.
Sweet work! Screws don't normally matter THAT much and if you ever run into trouble let me know i can tell you how to fix it! ^_^
You're a sweetheart Tiger thanks. I should have thought to drop you a message when I couldn't work that one bit out lol.
No worries haha lol
Amazing! I wanted to ask, how do you protect the paint? I applied 2 satin spray coats but still.
You're never going to be able to protect it with anything if it's getting a lot of rough use. Main thing is PREP, so sanding it ALL down and cleaning it before that first coat, then clearcoat at the end. Should hold up pretty well. Hope that helps.
awesome paintjob! I found your techniques enlightening! but I was wondering how long do you wait between coats before drybrushing?
Depends on the paint. Acrylic you can wait like 20 minutes (until it's dry). Spray paint wait longer because if you're doing multiple spray coats they need to be truly dry before you add the next coat, so read the can and add some time.
could you link the video that helped you reassemble the gun? i'm having the same problem you had.
Honestly, I can't remember, I just UA-cam searched for it and it popped up. Hopefully the same will happen for you. So sorry!
wait, are you left handed, or are you flipping the video post filming?
Total leftie lol
Nerfenstein aka GirlyGamer woop woop
Are the colors metallic?
Did you not see that in the video? :) It's gunmetal for the 'metal' parts and a flat blue highlight plating. Hope that helps. Thanks for commenting.
I saw that it was a couple shades of blue (must have missed the "flat" part), but the highlights were strong enough that i thought i might have missed something, its hard to tell on screen...looks great.
Yeah my lighting in there sucks too. I used a couple of different shades of blue though (dark up to light).
What kind of paint was the first layer the black color?
Just flat black enamel spray paint.
are you Australian? I don't know why, but from looking at your Facebook page I had thought you were American...
Most people think I'm American and a guy. I'm on the GC in Australia and a woman (hopefully my voice shows that lol).
Nerfenstein aka GirlyGamer wow im also on the gc!
nerfenstein how much is a commision
Wholly dependent on what it is, if I'm purchasing it and where you are in the world. Commissions are all done through Facebook messenger.
nerfenstein is German ?
Nerfenstein is Australian.
Stein is the german word for stone
That's cool! I just made up the name because it was like Frankenstein putting parts together to make a monster and I was doing that with Nerf blasters :)
+Nerfenstein aka GirlyGamer good to know...i just thought it was a play on Wolfenstein the game, but with Nerf lol
