This video is so incredibly validating. I’m watching your videos in tears as I lay on ice, in 10/10 INSANE pain, waiting for my surgery day 2/13. I can hardly wait. Unless you’ve had this injury, no one has a clue. My husband and kids are the only ones who really have the closest clue to the hell this has been for me. It’s rocked my world. I’m in nursing school as I’ve been in this hell and I don’t know how I’ve made it, truly. Allllll the nights awake miserable all night, I’ve read so so many forums and watched so many videos of others experience with this injury. I have read so many say this is suicide pain, and I’m sure every one of us that has lived this hell can agree. I can’t wait to be on the other side, and I hope and pray for all of you reading this that have had to deal with the same. I could’ve never imagined something like this in my life!!!
I’m so glad I found your video. I am on month 2 with herniated L5 S1 and bulging L4 L5. I’m doing PT without much relief. My appt with Ortho is not until mid February 2025. I fully understand your frustration, because I am living it. I had trouble with L4 L5 yrs ago that resolved with steroid injections but it was no where near as bad as this. I’m looking forward to hearing about your recovery. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your story on this. I also have an L5-S1 disc herniation. Tried chiropractic treatment, physical therapy, two epidural steroid injections and acupuncture. I finally have a consult with a surgeon in a couple of weeks.
