Man the amount of thought you put into your projects, it's a miracle you get anything done at all! I really like your work! Please keep sharing it with us.
A small tip for inserting threaded inserts with a soldering iron: leave them a millimeter proud of the surface and quickly press them in against a flat metal surface while still hot. This ensures that they are flush with and perpendicular to the surface, and you avoid those bumps forming at the edge of the hole.
I love seeing and picking up skills from others who know their craft too. That, and the entertainment factor when they can make things work so well together from scratch like this.
First off, congratulations on the new member of your family. Next, what can't you do, Russ? This whole video was awesome and captivating. Thanks for sharing this, it was fun to watch.
The cable management is just unreal. That's some next level DIY. I've watched all your vids, loved each and every one of them! If you make a 50 minute video about making a bacon sarnie I'd still watch. Love your content!!
I'm pretty convinced that with enough time and resources, you could build a space shuttle. Those camera cases were super satisfying to see come together. Great stuff.
BLOODY amazing!!!.I concur whole heartedly with the many comments I've read, DON'T ever stop making the vids , you give SO MUCH viewing pleasure to so many, God bless you mate and all your family!.
I watched a few overdue videos on your channel again and, as usual, I am full of admiration for the quality of your work. Your skill set is AMAZING! Woodwork, roofs, renovations, interior finishing, CNC, my favorite welding, and with the casing and keyboard, you have completely blown me away! I welded mine and it looks like a disaster compared to your work of art! Greetings from Poland
I think you are an amazingly talented craftsman. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and look forward to each new one. I was looking at my family tree and traced back to ancestors that lived in Scrooby, Malibu, Doncaster, and Braithwell. Looks like my family has Yorkshire roots. May explain why I am so frugal. My wife says cheap. I think words matter and prefer frugal. I enjoy watching what you create.
Wow. Highly impressive work! This is the kind of UA-cam content I find most entertaining. I've been following your channel since the astonishing Garrard turntable, and I eagerly wait for the next upcoming project. Thanks for sharing.
You are the modern renaissance man of fabrication. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see you forging brass or bronze in your next video. Your vids are always amazing even if they shine a powerful spotlight on my own inadequacies in the area of fabrication. 8>)
Crikey mate, I don't even know what you just did but it was brilliant. And quiet. Thanks for that and all of your amazing work- you inspire me to be more thoughtful in my approach to projects. Congratulations on the new baby!
This is one of the most impressive videos I’ve seen on UA-cam. So many techniques and tools used, knowledge and skills spanning over a wide area of expertise. And all those steps condescend to under one hour. Some channels would spend a 30 min video on just designing the HDMI holder! Nice hidden details, jump cut to home by pressing “home” on the keyboard. And high quality footage and editing on top of that! Extremely well done. I wish I could give more than one thumb up. 👍👍👍
I have watched half of this video and I am completely lost for words! The amount of skills and knowledge you have is just amazing!!! We need more content from you! Congrats for new baby!!
This is the first time I've seen a computer like this, it's beautifully implemented. Your videos involve a lot of work, plus the work is well staged, thank you very much. LG
Congrats on the new little one. More congrats for escaping them to the workshop. A man needs his cave. And, nice work on the pc and camera cases. I've built pcs before, but bought the cases. No 3-D printers here.
Congratulations to you and the family Russell. I hope the new Bub doesn't give you too many sleepless nights 😬. I watch with intent at your workshop projects. I forget that there is a lot of camera work and editing that we don't think about. So now we know the hardware side of things. Big thanks for a very interesting video.
I watched all of this without knowing what you were doing most of the time. Or what for. Or why. But I still watched all of it. And still impressed. Thank you. And congratulations on the new baby.
omg what genius at anything you put your mind to love watching people this good looking forward to the next project congrats to you and your wife on the newborn
CONGRATULATIONS on your new baby girl!!! I’m absolutely astounded by all you know. And it’s not even the basics, it’s the details. You even make tea 🫖 Well done, sir ❤
What an amazing project. I thought I was a geek when I built an open frame desktop pc but you sir are a true craftsman. An amazing attention to design, craftsmanship and detail. Wishing you, your wife and expanding family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Peace brother
I LOVE your videos! There is no "hit that subscribe button" nag or any other talking. Perfect! And you are sooo friggin good at what you do, it is a joy to watch you work! Keep up the good work!
If the budget allows it, I would recommend to swap your SSD drives with M2 drives (which I believe your motherboard supports). It removes the need for many cables you had to mod and improves the airflow in the case since they are directly attached to the motherboard. They are also much faster than SSD can ever be (SATA is an old standard made for the spinning disks era).
Congratulations on the new family member, and on being so talented in so many different things. Your ingenuity and attention to detail are truly inspirational and humbling. Excellent stuff, as always.
Most people when given the pieces to assemble would end up screaming and throwing it against the wall. But HE made the bloody pieces first!! Truly a wizard! I can see him at a party…someone says, “what do you do mate?” He says “bit of this and a bit of the other mostly”
You can add silicone o-rings to the top of your keyboard switches under the tops to damper the noise as well, great case as well you could sell them for LAN parties .
Many congratulations on the new addition to your family ... great vlog really enjoyed it, your skills are truly amazing. I always learn from your videos .... Just one gripe we need more videos 🤔
I love watching all your videos, but I absolutely feel like I could be more productive afterwards lol. I really respect the extent to which you just do stuff for yourself, I really wish I had the time, space and equipment to do even a fraction of the projects that you do. Looking forward to seeing an update on the garden area if there is one. Congratulations and good luck with the new baby!
Congratulations for the new family member. I'm currently in the same situation, always trying to get some minutes in the DIY office to finish some projects ehehh You got some endless skills. You are amazing Sir 😮
Very impressive work building the pc-case and making all fit, that takes some time figuring out. And your patience is amazing, I enjoy tinkering with electronics & Pc-builds, can be stressful many times, you got talent ! I give you 5 stars for a great video ! * * * * * Cheers from Texas, 🤠
I saw the video titled “6kg carbon fiber PC” and I thought “what the hell?” But then I remembered NYW is a renaissance man, and the woodworking that initially drew me to his channel was only one of his many, many skills. But did I really want to watch a build video for a PC? Ah, who am I kidding, I’d watch this guy do his laundry!
When i found you channel two to three years ago, i really didn't know i'd found such a cultured man, using DP Daisychaing for the dual screen, building his own keyboard... such a diamond in the rough
Came to post this! I get there is some bleed over from woodworking and stuff like drylining etc etc but the amount of different skills you have mastered is humbling.
Sat on a balcony in Fuerteventura with a bottle of red wine, watching your latest video. Never felt so chilled out in my life! Keep it up mate, love your work
Amazing amount of effort and time. Thanks for the effort you put in and showing your skills. I really hope you’ve used a high temp pla I wouldn’t like to see your hard work literally fall apart
I never really comment but your videos are honestly superb . Ridiculously interesting and ive never seen anything you can't put your hand too and at a super high level. Thanks for the content just wish there was more 🙏 all the best darrall from reading uk
How he only has 239K subscribers is beyond me. Most of the technical things he does is beyond me, yet I could watch him do them for hours.
and he doesn't say a word, and it's just fascinating to watch him work.
This is absolutely right. This man is a genius.
According to his social blade, it's a standard growth pattern. There's more channels about different things too.
Man the amount of thought you put into your projects, it's a miracle you get anything done at all! I really like your work! Please keep sharing it with us.
There are very few people who are blessed with such diverse talent. Moreover he executes his projects with such discipline and professionalism.
Perfectionism, I'm lost in wonder at your skills.
Congratulations to you and Mrs NYW on your new family member.
First off Congratulations to you and your wife for the Baby! Secondly its nice to see you back good Sir!

All that technology and the SD cards live in a film case! Very clever stuff x
It's impressive how talented you are in so many different crafts. I can only develop software and if the power goes out, I'm useless. 😂
so make a choice to develop other skills ?
I love seeing and picking up skills from others who know their craft too. That, and the entertainment factor when they can make things work so well together from scratch like this.
"Specialization is for ants" - Robert A. Heinlein
Best of luck with your endeavors. It takes a while, but you'll get there!
@@chetleonard169 what choices did you make today? And what are you talented in doing?
I can construct almost anything from furniture to buildings, but anything with coding or auto repair seems like magic to me. I feel you.
I'm waiting for the kitchen build as well. Chop chop!
Congratulations on the baby, hope mother ans baby are doing well. I love your vids. I`ve watched them lots of times.
So impressive, the hard drive mount was really cool!
Congratulations to you both on the new baby🎉
amazing video. The technical narrative that accompanies the action is mind blowing. Thanks for taking the time to put this video together
Another proof of really being a Master of all trades and mastering them all
Inspirational as usual!
First off, congratulations on the new member of your family. Next, what can't you do, Russ? This whole video was awesome and captivating. Thanks for sharing this, it was fun to watch.
Excellent job as always, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for posting. Astonishing how stimulating an almost silent video can be 😁
making and building two keyboards is a whole new level of nerdiness.. I'm in awe! ❤😂

Pretty amazing builds. Your wife made a person. She wins.
She did have help, though (maybe not a lot, considering the number of chores he dodged!).

Ah the simple joy of watching another of your long videos i wish they were weekly instead of monthly off to watch the cnc build for the 3rd time

Yet another masterful demonstration of your amazing skills and talents. I am in awe!
By `eck lad! Awesome job on the pc , and those bmccs are the dog`s, Russ!
Made up for you both with the new addition, well done the pair of you xx
You can also get a set of tiny o rings for each keycap and even double them up if needed to dampen the noise even further.
Those compact SATA connectors.. they are designed to use with a telco punchdown tool and without cutting the insulation :)

Amazing build! I would recommend reinstalling the AIO cooler and distributing more thermal paste, so that it covers the entire IHS.
But then someone else in the comments will say it was too much thermal paste and recommend to reinstall it with less.
Thanks for the video.
The mods on the wiring was great to see.

You're my idol. All that is left is to make that desk less wobbly :P
Is there anything you CAN'T do? I'm always amazed at what you pull out of the bag in every video!! Amazing work, as always

Another great video and congrats on the new family addition.
Absolutely impressive, amazing work. This is what LTT is supposed to show, yet they fail to make a simple stuff.
You are a modern Michelangelo! You can do everything ... artistically!
A long wait for your videos but always worth it.
Is there anything you cannot do?! You even made a baby and successfully dodged household chores. I am shocked and inspired.
Well he say's he made a baby. Maybe it's on Patreon.
