I am English and have lived in Australia for some 43 years. However from the age of 11 to my early twenties I lived in beautiful St. Catharines. I so remember fishing on 12 mile creek and Welland Canal. it was such a great place to grow up. I miss it a lot.
Used to stay here while attending Brock U in late 1980s..a nice university...how time has passed..if i ever have the opportunity to go overseas, i would love to go back to visit....from Malaysia
Cycling the Niagara Fruit belt on a nice crisp beautiful day in the vineyards is a treat. Just perfect ...Lots of cycling roads in the rural areas. The area has lots of greenhouses for work. All seasons. Smaller then Hamilton but bigger then Niagara Falls. Is becoming quite cultural in its growth.. Has a busy nice shopping mall, reallyyyy good bus transit system, bus drivers & people are friendly & helpful, Restaurants, cafes, bistros, plenty of that... Entertainment complexes for concerts with big names. Radio stations... famous ones around too. Universities & colleges for students. Lotsa parks, splash pads, community cntrs, for young & seniors. It's still growing but its got everything you'd need .
Grew up at the homer bridge under the Grden city skyway and my first job was riding a dickie dee ice cream bicycle, I was too lazy to do the route, so I just sat at home and when the bridge went up I rode my bike past all the waiting cars and sold most of my product!, Problem was though I ate myself sick while waiting lol
Hahahaha! Love that story! I remember Dickie Dee! You needed some real strong legs to pedal that heavy freezer on wheels! I don't blame ya for not riding around too far. You were smart and conserved your energy! Hahaha I think I would eat everything in that freezer too! Hahahaha! Good memories of childhood!!!
you must be old..Dickie dees are obselete now sadly..i live by the homer bridge.. it actually sued to be called the town of homer so if you lived there then -then youd probably be close to 100 years old..
and if the people in St. Catherines are old enough, they'll remember this fun place, a half hours drive south to Lake Erie: ua-cam.com/video/9JGbu-sGICs/v-deo.html
Some of St. Catharines is beautiful but the downtown living is not great. The terrible night clubs draw in the worst people that destroy St. Paul street every weekend. Montebello park is always full of homeless drug addicts.
Thx for sharing: Bob Segar is from St. Catharines! 🎶👍😊
That’s awesome! Model: Linda Evangelista (George Michel music video) also from St. Cat👍😊

Thank you for dropping by! Greetings from Canada! I miss India. Spent a lot of time there travelling! Great memories! Hope you are well.
I live here and can confirm it's not as good as it looks. Theres alot of shitty places, also with the homeless. The house prices are horrible

Nice place to visit, lousy place to live. High taxes, lack of employment opportunities, lousy infrastructure.
Former resident of St. Caths. Great place to visit, a lousy place to live. This video is propaganda. Chow for now.
