I’ve never tried it yet but I’ve been told to go to your local dollar store and buy oven cleaner and it will work better than engine degreaser. Easiest way to put electric start on pony is get a starter generator from an old lawn tractor, mount it on fender and run belt to rope grove on pony flywheel.
I know that value might be related to where you live but how much did your machine cost? If I locate a project, knowing what is a good deal, and what is not so good, would be really helpful? Was this the only D4 you looked at?
I live really close to where you pulled this out - and I’ve known Frankie all my life. I actually had plans to revive this in the past, but never did do it just from being busy. Glad to see that someone is bringing it back to life. Where are you located?

He told me to tell you he’d be happy to help you with any machining you need done. We live 15 minutes north of where you picked the dozer up. Let us know if you need anything. @user-qu8cf3nd7h I’ve currently taken the pony engine to Givens machine shop, hopefully they be able to help get it lined out, but they said it would be about a month before they could get to it.
