What's the logic with having the rider at the back? At a set of lights or stop sign, their vision of what is coming from the side street is diminished. And imagine having to ride up a hill from a standing start pushing 150kg. This idea is ridiculous.
You have no idea, did you never hear of Cargo bikes? Urban Arrows get bought for 6kEUR and R+M can be up to and above 9kEUR. They are replacing cars and are often ebikes, thus the pushing is not so much of a problem. I actually see here a lot of potential, these guys might not be the best to do it. This idea is gold and within the next 5 years this is going to be a big thing through European capitals.

There have been sooooo many episodes of dragons den over the years, I just wish they would catch up with everybody and do a series called DRAGON INVESTORS : BOOM OR BUST.
It's a ridiculous concept...tuker is right..uber could easily replicate this...and tej is right it's seasonal you wouldn't wanna use this in the rain in winter
Tej was right in that no-one would use the service in the winter / on cold or wet days.....if there was come sort of canopy that went over the passengers that may help but to hand out ponchos is a disastrous move.
The funny thing is here in the Netherlands (where they sourced it) all such bikes can be equipped with rain tent / canopy attachments, which they somehow managed to completely miss.
I love how Jenny completely missed the eco part of the bike business and was like “I get it, we all need to be healthier.” Like theyre doing it for exercise 😂
OMG, Touker is an extremely capable businessman. I've done a bit of research on him. His pin point precision when it comes to doing deals is absolutely incredible. You can't teach that. That comes naturally & with experience. No wonder he's done so well & has remained so humble.
No-one seems to have picked up on the Maths - a 2 mile journey costs £10, but would take 15 mins - an example being Marble Arch to Covent Garden. That's £40 per hour, or £320 per 8 hour day, not taking into consideration traffic, more complex routes, or downtime. The range would cover 10 journeys before the battery would need to be recharged, or more likely replaced, at every 4 hours at continuous use. A more realistic figure would be around £200 revenue per day, not including the winter months, or when it's either cold /wet when people would prefer to use covered transport options - to quote £500-£600 seems exceptionally optimistic.
If they can find people who can drive they can find people who can ride a bike 🤣. Don’t primary schools often do like 4 weeks cycling teaching with kids now.
