I'd love to see a comparison where maybe you might use an antenna switch so that the same antenna can be switched from radio A to radio B on the same frequency for comparison.
You are correct there really is no comparison between the 7300 and the dx10 not even close the dx10 is a superior rig. Those to antennas are closer in performance than you would like to think. I know You want your 7300 to be as good as the dx10

You see the 2 antennas on recive on that non resonant band they are very close about an s unit apart on same radio with favor going to the 80m. Some day I'll do that vid I know I would want icom 7300 to be better if that was my main rig but price matters dx10 better rig worth the Xtra $$

Don't know what you paid for your 7300 but at today's prices the FT-DX10 would cost me $757.40 more, after taxes and rebates, than a 7300 purchased from DX Engineering. For me, is it worth it. That difference in cost can go towards improving my antennas and feed line, which I definitely need to do. I'm not branded, I have three Yaesu radios two are mobile and one HF (FT-847). I also have an IC-7100 and I use it more than the rest especially for HF. I would like to have a dedicated HF radio that's the reason I'm looking at various videos trying to pull the trigger on one. I'm leaning towards the 7300 due to its features and cost. Plus, maybe some day I can get the matching 9700. But, I'm considering the DX-10 as well. I've heard it said that your best radio is the one you use the most. So if you use your DX-10 more after the new wears off you've found your go to radio. Thanks for your response.
Using a different antenna on each radio destroys the entire point of comparison. May I suggest an A - B radio switch to the same antenna in the future???

The speaker and antenna difference is minimal even this unscientific comparison should illustrate the deficiencies actual s meter difference between those 2 antennas is 1 s unit when ab antenna comparison with same radio...icom had an LG surround sound speaker forward facing. Speaker didn't make that signal sound weak and ugly sounding that speaker sounds nice with a good sighal...comparing Mac to granny Smith not apples n oranges neither antenna gained from resonance.

Not to be misunderstood, I'm not claiming that the FTDX10 has no better sound than the 7300; Icom is a bit harsh on my ears too. But the difference between ftdx10 and 7300 when using same antenna, same external speaker, same filter BW and flat RX/EQ on both (or similarly configured), is nowhere close to that presented.
Well I have been using these same speakers long time used on dx10 before I got sp 30. I like sp 30 but it's not better than my LG just matches looks pretty not really sounding much better or all that different noticeable to at least my ear

There will be differences in the receive... You're comparing an entry level radio that sells for 1000 - 1100 dollars to a mid level radio that sells for 1700. The Yaesu should perform better for the extra 600 dollars.

Lol makes minimal diffrence both high quality speakers the matching speaker is cute looks good with radio thats why I got it if I was expecting some super night and day diffrence I would have been disappointed. Always used high quality stereo speakers with results no less than a "comunication" speaker code word for $$$

I am looking for an HF rig, and I think 🤔 Y hits it for receive. The 7300 for ease of operations. Can get on HF, so I can wait.
Imo yaesu front end more selective sensitive better at rejecting noise and easier to use look and feel better my 2 cents
