i think even outside of the various controversies, the content of the game itself is what will draw lots more fans away from DC in general I bet. The issue is that the plot is Villains winning. And in this case, SOME people may want to see SS succeed somewhere because they all collectively are trash villains with little going for them outside of fighting our heroes. Having the underdogs come up and WIN for a change is nice to many people but not when the enemy is literally our most beloved childhood superheros, in albeit lesser forms. We always want to see our Heroes win. Even if they're brainwashed, we wish for a way for it to be undone so they can win. But having them all just die....and most with little to no ceremony either? Its disrespectful to the children we and our parents once were.
