Great video for a great cause. My wife and I have recently started shopping at Moto Camp Nerd, and this past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Ben and Mary at the 2024 Palmetto ADV Rally here in SC (you should have seen their set up). They are amazing people and we had a great time with them. PS Ben and Mary are the only ones I’ve ever seen practicing two up on a 1250 GS in deep sand. We plan to support them with every need we have if they provide/sell the products in need.

Totally loving the Moto Camp Nerd product selection! Currently on the hunt for a new tent. But hey, gotta speak up about your jab at jobs in 'dark, scary factories with deadly machines.' My factory job might not be glamorous, but it has great benefits and sure beats flipping burgers... it's what keeps my adventure dreams alive. Cheers to that, and God bless America!

@@Robert-jp8gq Y'all know the exaggeration of dark and scary is part of the funny! I've been in manufacturing 13 years and there are definitely some great places to work providing great stability, pay, benefits, vacation time off, and they even actually care about your well being. Only seen and know of a handful that are truly dark and scary, like OSHA should shut them down for the amount of amputations or deaths scary because they don't care about safety. I got burnt out on manufacturing from working 12hr days 7 days a week and not allowed to take time off for months on end. I'm in maintenance, electronics/automation/robot tech. But we mostly get called lazy by operations 😂
@@MotoCampNerd Thanks for the reply, no worries, and I totally get the burnout... You can pretty much lose touch with the world when you're on a 12-hour, 7-day mandatory schedule; I went through that a couple of years ago. It's funny, our operations/maintenance guys have the same kind of back and forth. Half the time, we're down because no one wants to shut the machines down to do proper preventive maintenance! Really admire you for pursuing another career option; you're doing it the right way.
As others have commented, shipping to Canada [at least on the items that I selected] is not an option. I do like the product mix.
That's a restriction placed upon him by the manufacturers, not a choice he's making.

Just picked up a Big Agnes tent and sleeping bag from Moto Camp Nerd! Excited to gear up for moto camping this year and support another awesome Ben in the process.
Ben and Mary are great people. Having met them in person and hope to be doing a trip this fall with them to the outer banks of NC. They have the stuff and knowledge to make your moto camping comfortable and fun.

There are two hurdles though - He wont post to Australia or overseas at all, and the US $ excahnge rate is so bad here now that prices are just far too high to make regular purchases. I will, however, find something to buy if and when I can actually have it sent to me. I really appreicate the both of you Benss's's's'ssss'ss and what you give us.

I am a long distance hiker and have hiked on several continents. Super light gear is a necessity and with age I am transitioning to motorcycle adventures. I watched the video and when I went to the link you shared the first thing I saw advertised was Big Agnes gear, I own several thousand dollars of their gear and can attest to the quality and warranty of their gear. High grade camping gear is very light and packs down to a very small volume. Check out ultra light hiking gear and you want regret it.
Their service is great, there now my first stop when looking for camping gear. Just got a great deal on a Big Agnes Diamond Park bag!

I've been so tempted to pull the trigger and replace my Eureka Backcountry tent. But.. I don't quite get why there are three listed weights on one tent 😊
Some backpackers really get into the UL or counting every gram and ounce so all the manufacturers start listing pack weights, trail weights and whatever else they want. I'm guilty of copy and pasting the info because some want to see all the details.

Im an older guy that has always bought good stuff.
I rarely find something i need anymore because good stuff lasts.
I bought a jet boil about 15 yrs ago. The thing is bomb proof. It has not had an easy life but its simple and good quality.
If you don't have one, I highly recommend one. I love that it all packs into the pot!
I've always wanted one of those foldable fire pits so I bought one of those and a couple other more modern things that are easier to pack.

We do have a mix of backpacking gear we stock as it works well for moto camping. Not everything is UL but a good mix of durable gear.
My god me and ben are the same person less the store he runs. I feel his pain as i am currently trying to fill a bottomless void with blood sweat and tears.
Also his beard. I can not have an awesome beard… or facial hair in my quest to trade said blood sweat tears… and i guess facial hair for paychecks. I swear some people act like tgere was never a profesional ever that rocked a beard. Jesus christ, zakk wylde, zz top, paul bunion, santa clause, abe lincoln, leonardo de vinci, zeus…. And this is a nautical job, uncle sam not professional enough to work at my company apparently😢
