Tim: What kind of sandwich do you want, Mr Boo? Mr Boo: Well, see if they have one with Cumbrian quail eggs; caviar from the upper Dniester, best if from an autumnal harvest; and a bit of South African oregano. And to drink let’s go with a 1972 Villeneuve-Mont St Michel Extra Brut. There are only two bottles left in the world but they’ll probably have it. Tim: Right. Just like me mum and her PG Tips. Only the best for the holidays. We’d get it with our own bag of crisps, a whole bag each. I’d save mine to eat later, slip it into me pocket without anyone noticing. I had a family of mice living under me cot and would share it with them at night, only one time I fell asleep right away, and in the morning I saw that they had eaten all me eyebrows off. When I went back to school the next day all the kids called me Major Tim. Ah, David Bowie. They’ll never make another one o’ ‘im now, will they?

Never really was thankful that I was an accident and my parents had me very late in life. But watching makes me happy that they were much to old to bring their little gay boy out camping...lol Now being 60 this past June; I can proudly say it is something I've gone this long without doing. It is very amusing to watch you to doing. Love you guy's! ❤

Oh that look on poor Mr Boo's face as Tim chomps on his sarnie and shoves paper towels in the windows!! lol...anyway, that campsite looks marvelous! That was what some of the campsites we used to camp at looked like when I was a kiddie. Dad always got one with a pool so that he could send us off swimming for the afternoon so he could nap! I had one camping trip many years ago when I went with my former husband, where we drove 6 hrs with our two dogs to our pre-booked campsite. Unfortunately, they failed to tell us that it was at the bottom of a hill, so when the torrential rains started right after we set up, a river ran right down the hill into our tents! Everything soaked within 30 mins! lol...we had two soggy, muddy dogs, soaked sleeping bags, and etc., so we turned around and had no choice but to drive 6 hrs back home that very evening! (No room at the hotels in the little lakeside village!) That was our only camping attempt as a married couple! LOL! 🚙

great videos but I was wondering if you know what weight the glass roof can withstand? I only enquire because the old smart cars had glass roofs and shattered easily with a stone chip and given you're putting that amount of weight on the roof, would that not cause the glass to be under stress all the time? You've probably thought about it but I thought I would raise it just in case a the last thing you would want is a million pieces of smashed glass caving in on you and pooch! Not wanting to take away from the drama of the rain on the camping trip, I do want to comment on the "Ugly Duckling" song that you sing, Tim, part way through. It's from the inspirational and underappreciated movie "Hans Christian Andersen", starring Danny Kaye, released in 1952. Though released 2 years before I was born, that movie was a major influence in my early life. It features of course the charisma and mellifluous voice of Danny Kaye, but also some beautiful music and lyrics by Frank Loesser. The ugly duckling turns out to be a swan, and the song is obviously metaphorical. My favourite song from the movie is "Inchworm", a beautiful ballad and a reminder to stop, take in life, and realize how beautiful things are. According to a comment on a You Tube posting of the song, "In his 2003 interview with Performing Songwriter magazine, (David) Bowie explains that the song "Inchworm" ... was a big influence on "Ashes To Ashes." Said Bowie: 'I loved it as a kid and it's stayed with me forever. I keep going back to it. You wouldn't believe the amount of my songs that have sort of spun off that one song. Not that you'd really recognize it.'" For me it was also inspirational. I took to mathematics and statistics in my later professional career, and as they now say on the street when I spout some random factoid, "Simon has a spreadsheet for that".
Again? You really do have bad luck when you go camping, it seems like the weather somehow knows and intentionally decides to be terrible lol Next week's episode is sure to be mouth-watering :)

Doesn't the early model ami placement of PDR down the drivers side look a bit bloody silly now, it's the sort of thing they should relocate free of charge, ...but seeing as they won't it makes me think you need to measure the angle to make a 3d print that sits flush but can be slid back via a wee set of plastic rails, double sided hydrophobic adhesive sticky foam tim (not blue peter sticky tape) 3M proper stuff not the shonky ali express counterfeit you normally buy ;) that way at least it will be drip resistant or better but can still be slid back with a couple of fingers & accessed / quickly covered. maybe find a burly diy carpet fitter with one of those 6 inch pin angle measuring thingies, get mr boo to talk him round into an overnighter (loan) with his more fluid french, so you can recreate the angle at home with a bit of card, then test it out knowing you have likely got the angle of dangle right first time, make some tracks for the edges to follow & hopefully bob is truly your uncle etc etc.
Before viewing this latest watery escapade I had the notion that taking Elton through a car wash (sans all external electronics) might make for an entertaining video. Sadly however, seeing that he is about as waterproof as your average sponge makes this scenario highly unlikely. Oh well.
"Its looking a bit black over mother in-laws"... time to get the gore-tex burkha out.? You've been really unlucky with the weather. You know what you need.... a couple of super-mums shaking their fists at the clouds. Go North young men. The camp-sites are better (3-star and above) and the weather's better (For the five years on the trot I went to Finistere, Cote D' Amor and Vendee for fortnight each time, Only had 3 days of bad weather in total out of 70 days. In Finistere, because the weather comes straight off the Atlantic, the rain showers only last 20 minutes to half an hour, then its back to clear blue skies and summer daytime temperatures, late June to September, of 25-30 C. And if you get p*ssed with the camping, there are loads of self-catering chalets and long-houses to rent and one or two posh hotels. Bad weather everywhere this year is down to El Nino.
14 mins in in stitches over the comments
Thanks.
Hi Tim, sending you an email. Awesome video mate.
Is that shallow of me ? Probably huh 🤔
Twiggy looked as miserable as you two, sitting in the tiny Ami in the rain... you have to get the van for camping..
certainly have to get something bigger for camping
Heeey We are in dt paul the vence now. I own the dutch version of Ami. Wich campsite where you on ?
Camping de la Bergerie !
@@MeandMonAmi 😁we where looking around if we see you both. You live somewhere around Eze right?
Before viewing this latest watery escapade I had the notion that taking Elton through a car wash (sans all external electronics) might make for an entertaining video. Sadly however, seeing that he is about as waterproof as your average sponge makes this scenario highly unlikely. Oh well.
Well to be fair we’ve never had waterproof issues til today
@@MeandMonAmi Oh, ok👍
😂😂😂....❤ X
Hands and feet are inportant any hop. On w/ the show 📽️
Your wipers are dirty, WD 40 and a clean cloth
You are right but the problem is Elton lives under and olive tree and the sap never lets up!
Low IP rating Ami...LOL
I hear tell that in.California they're currently roasting in 45 C + temperatures.
Yes I have friends who say it’s unbearable
This is a good reason never never to buy this car
New Citroens are crap, miss the old designs.
Not the most interesting video you've produced...
Tune in next week it’s gets even more boring!;
I would say to my parents. Camping 🏕️ why. Why are we pretending to be poor ? 😝😝
I think it’s ’back to nature’ etc!;
Received my VFSM swag today. Couldn’t be happier. Merci pour le stylo. 💙🤍❤️ Thanks for another entertaining/enjoyable video.
Excellent hope you enjoy it!
