Very nice. If you make the feed tube on a slant. So when you drop a whole apple there is room between the wall the cutter that tapers to 1/2 " clerence at the bottom of the cutter.
Hi, thanks for the question, as long as the screw heads clear the hopper wall, the apple scatter will end up falling through. I believe this is what you were asking? 1/2" clearance is plenty.
Nothing to do with your design but spent the last couple of days building one of theses.The stainless screws just throw the apples about a lot. I think they aren't sharp enough, so cut nails would be better. Looks like I am going to be grinding screw heads off in the morning cant wait NOT.

When you salvaged your motor you should have kept the capacitor. If you had you would not need to start the motor rotating by hand risking an injury.
