It is our pleasure, Ella! Staten Island is such an underrated borough! When they finally finish that park complex there, we'll be happy to do another updated drone video of it and tag you!
Awesome, Danroyd! I went to Ross University School of Medicine. They just relocated to Barbados from Dominica! Your country is an incredible place - practically paradise!
Thank you so much, Danroyd! There aren't enough videos of Staten Island; but, we just relocated to NYC; so, we will definitely create more! Your UA-cam channel is incredibly interesting! We just subscribed. Thank you for subscribing to our channel and sharing with your friends!
Thank you, Stevie! Thrilled that you liked it. We'll make another Staten Island video when summer rolls back around. Thanks for subscribing to our channel and sharing it with your friends!
That's a good question, InfoGuy. Way back (1800s-1900s) when boats used to sink in the NY Harbor, they had to be taxi'd out of there so as to not inhibit the flow of shipping. Those sunken ships were dragged out to Staten Island, where the city once broke them down / auctioned them. Eventually, so many piled up and fell into further disrepair and there they remain.
Thanks, Annie! Now that I finally live in NYC full time, I plan on making many more NYC-focused drone films. Let me know if there's anything in particular you think I should capture!
@@RP-Meier same for me, love these drone shots. Boat graveyard was really cool. I think there are more over by the Outerbridge that I would be really interested in seeing (you may have even shown some here, it was hard to place where some shots were taken). Plus over there is really close to NJ and I think the old LNG tanks, would be cool seeing those by drone as well! Thanks again for the great footage, beautiful work!!
Some very nice shots. You should consider editing out the footage shot from altitude above and west of the Bayonne Bridge. Maybe you don't want the kind of attention that could draw?
When Fresh Kills Park comes fully done 1/3 of the Island will be parkland. The Greenbelt is a joy and the Bluebelt areas are a good mix. The negatives: the rates of smoking and drug use. Also known as Civil Service Island.
Wow! I did not know any of that, Ken! That's awesome! When they finish Fresh Kills Park, I'll make a drone video of it. Staten Island is a really cool place - definitely underrated.
Thanks for the feedback, Richard! Choosing the music is always one of the hardest parts of creating our videos. Hard to say what most people will like!
@Heavenly Majestic Warrior In the early 90's when Dinkins won as Mayor all the Italians/Irish freaked out & wanted to secede from the city. It ultimately did not happen. When Giuliani won in 92/93 he took SI by like a 90% margin. He rewarded SI by making the ferry free.
Staten Island is my home!
I've lived on the island since 1999, never knew there was a boat graveyard. Interesting 🤔
Thank you for this footage 😊

Gorgeous footage
your5best- what is the boat graveyard about?

@@RP-Meier wow. thanks for the feedback
My home town since 2004
I hope I will go to New York someday. Love from 🇲🇾💖💖💖
Do an arial view of the Staten Island railway plzzz it’s my favorite railroad
That's a great idea, CCTU! We have been meaning to make another Staten Island video soon. We'll do it and tag you!
There's also the freight railway tracks (might be abandoned) that runs up the west side parallel to 440, going North, thatvwould be cool to see!
I live in Snug Harbor. A stunningly beautiful area.
This is especially interesting for those of us who have never been to New York City and probably never will.
❤ i love this place
NICE
Where are the boat grave yards located ?
Off Arthur Kill road and Rossville avenue. Tough to access and see by foot.
Dope😍
Thank you, Midhu! I'm thrilled to see that you enjoyed the video! Thanks for the awesome comment!
@@RP-Meier 😍👍
Loved the soundtrack! Who's the artist?
Always wanted to see the ship graveyard, great footage thanks

I grew up in the island my question...who the hell cleaned that section of the beach for the photo OP?
They been cleaning the beaches on the east shore for 2 decades. They're nice now.
I feel like people like to bring SI down bc of its suburbs, but Brooklyn has the same exact thing!
Plus everyone is from BK in SI
Wow

No Great Kills Park footage?
I thought you’re not allowed to fly drones in NY?

GTA6 gtaphics
Haha That's exactly what we think when we watch our raw drone footage sometimes. It looks like a movie/video game. Thank you for watching!
Quiero ir a Staten Island para encontrarme con Vito Bratta.
Wow the really ruined the Bayonne Bridge when they raised the roadway

🤡
My god this music is horrible..
nice footage though
Great view, bad song
Great images stupid music.
Thanks for the feedback, Richard! Choosing the music is always one of the hardest parts of creating our videos. Hard to say what most people will like!
@@RP-Meier I actually like the music!
Why is this even part of New York City
They won the boat race against new Jersey years ago. It was called Richmond county, farmland, etc. Then they built the verrazano narrows bridge.
@pryncess-abledbyGod Of course it was, NYC would lose taxpayers’ money lol

Wheres the "CONFERENCE HOUSE" in Tottenville??????
Hey, Juan! Thanks for your question. It’s in Tottenville. Hope this helps!
