I'm a huge Sennheiser fan and of course being in bands my whole life I always loved Shure Mic's as well... In a music situation you can only get so far away and there's a time delay so you'll need the Sennheiser ear monitor so you can travel around large venues... Sweet tool.
Hi man, First of all, great video. Really informative. Keep it up! I would like to ask for some advice. I will be conducting various outdoor interviews this summer, and thus will be needing to acquire a video camera and a wireless mic. I know that your choice highly depends on what and where you will be shooting. I need a standard, handheld mic (preferably with a noise cap attached to it), and I really need one that allows me to sync it to the video material without having to manually having to sync audio and video material. I will not need any high-end products; mid-end would do it. This mic is a very high-end. What could you recommend? Thanks!
Sometimes I get interference around other electronics with microphones. Be that my laptop, a landline phone, my monitor, etc. How well does this microphone work under those conditions? For both the handheld mic and the lavaliere? Thanks
I wonder if these are using the DECT standard (1880-1930 MHz) like the system Panasonic cordless house phones use. Those phones work great around my house.
Hey nice review.....have you tried the cardiod version of this mic...i have the old Sennheiser MD46..........i understand they do a papsule that you mentioned that is as good as this?
I asked you about camera, and you answered me, but now there's no answer. Can you replay me again. I really need that information. (I did not rewrite your answer last time - silly me)
Is there a newer version to this microphone
No this is the current one

Lon, what device do you use to switch between different cameras? Seems very convenient! :)
Is it still worth it now that we have much cheaper options like Rode Go?
I have the same question
me too

Hi Lon! Do you still use the AVX these days? How has it been holding up?
Still works great - see my most recent wrap up where I talk about its performance at CES.

can we pair both mikes togather or we need to do it simultaneously?
It would be nice if the receiver could use the phantom power on a mixer to power it in place of batteries.

Can it be powered by phantom power?
I understand you can get the handheld mic with a mute button.
you should put some lightning in the background too Lon, very dark atm, doesnt look as professional as your content :)
how do u charge it?
It cost alot more cause your paying for quality and reliability, this is why i love sennhiser
Wow you sounded very different with that mic O_O
Well, I'm used to how you sound through your normal setup. So I am very bias towards that. But I would say you sound better through your compressor.
