The sound of the Canadair CL-215 scraping across the ground just hurts the soul. Last-minute you see the pilot pull up a little bit like he realized either A, he was sinking too far down or B, heard the alarm blaring (or should be). But nope, pushed down and landed anyway. There should have been a pilot and co-pilot in the seat when that CL-215 came in to land, and neither of them remembered the gear? There are supposed to be trained pilots, did they think they were landing on water? Perhaps a Buffalo pilot should be on every flight until the planes are released into Turkish custody and they leave.

This has worked for me, the past 35 years. GUMP. I repeat this in my head several times on final. The 4 most important items in any propeller plane. Gas to fullest tank, fuel pump on. Undercarriage down. Confirm 3 green. Mixture, full rich. Propeller, forward, or fine pitch. The last two, are done in order to have full climb power available instantly, if needed.

Will did exactly the right thing by wearing a shirt and tie.
I have watched many of these episodes and always noticed the flight attendants in scruffy and dirty clothes. What does that say about the airline, what image is it projecting to the customers. Go Will!!

@@chrisbanning413 we are not talking about cars here. I know of a very experienced pilot who crashed a new generation cirrus simply because he was unfamiliar with the instruments, a very minor detail. Don't argue for the sake of arguing. Please 🙏
