4k hours peak gc3 here. This is great advice! 90% of getting to to where I'm at is learning what, and when, you can win. I wouldn't entirely avoid the "fun/cool" stuff just because you're not capable of it yet. Eventually you will have to learn everything so just have fun with it and rank will come with time and effort:) Great video!
Very true, I am Diamond 1 now after being stuck Plat for more than 6 months, I started playing smarter and allowed my tm8's to play the ball in some cases where it would be more benificial for me to sit back, I use to rush the ball, and still get accused of it but my tm8's are free stylers who can't actually freestyle, anyway, this kid has some great advice for you stuck players. Play smart, play as a team, sit back, don't rush, "To be fast, you have to go slower." - AMUSTYCOW
Mechanics are flashy and cool and open up new possibilities for different plays, but unless you can master the basics - you cant master the advanced stuff. Currently d1-d2, still don't know how to air dribble, still don't know how to do a speedflip kick-off - but my game sense & ability to read the play has carried me this far.
GC1 here. Just take notice of what you fail and screw up most often in game and practice that. Your weakest point will drag you down. I don’t even know how to do a flip reset. (also once in a while just watch one of your games)

Don't over compensate yourself for Diamond, the ranks are busted and I am D1 and can't even keep my rank due to Champ/GrandChamp Smurfs. You might be worth Diamond, but the skill set is different.
@@BeyondPhantomfr cause I thought that when I in lower ranks and It wasn't getting Me anywhere until I sat in free play every time I play for and hour or 2 to practice and warm up, and in time took in game to gain experience which will help u understand ur rank and think ehat u could do to counter it and also just don't rush to get out ur rank take ur time or u might stay hardstuck
Also I'm g3 in 1s and p2 in 2s and I can confidently say I can beat a genuine diamond if any wants to play rank or 1v1 no comp just for fun and experience to learn
@@Elxte_Ty Honest tg the best way to win in duels is to just wait for mistakes 🤣 it's gold. I am plat in 2s but GOLD 1 in 3s, which I have no idea how it happened.

The ranking system is stupid. It automatically starts everyone in gold. Diamonds are also probably way better than you if you are consistently gold 1.

Dang, that was deep. Ngl I think I might be stuck in gold because of my teammates(Not trying to be toxic) Because I am a plat in duels.
I feel you I’m plat in 2v2s but I can’t get past gold 2 in 1s because of smurfs

If you can air dribble when youre in gold, you need help.
Airdribbling and Airal Shots are different, I can boom some airal shots, but I can't even airdribble and I am in D1.
