- here's how you can collect your own live bait, this is an extremely cheap way and can become extremely effective! this technique is very useful for people in areas where cast netting is not allowed!

This is such a great idea, been trying for ages to get these little guys at my local river and I think this finally is what I needed
Put a zip tie on the end that does not have the clip. You will never have to worry about it coming apart or losing part of it. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxvthjLYk8bJwhOkjNsLvPwnSKZmnHeT1 The diameter of the holes are about 2 1/2". They can still get out if there is no bait in the trap. You can also use a zip tie to keep the bait in place. I use a can of Sardines in oil with hole punched in it wired to the bottom and then loose Chicken or fish. This keeps them there longer, but if left long enough the trap will be empty. I learned this the hard way. I threw the trap in and watched it aMost fill up. Like a dummy, I got greedy, when I came back in an hour, all were gone except four. Good buy for the money!

Team Fat Flathead Instead of throwing the plastic bottle like that I tied rope on the top of the bottle and then I casted out the bottle with the bread inside the bottle and the rocks and then I tied the rope to a big piece of wood and then I waited for the mullet to come into the bottle.Then the mullet would trap itself in the bottle and then I would use the mullet as Bait for the Flathead !!
