Listen to around 2:40-2:41 you can hear a timed beatfill to key him in on the timing between the hi-hats. This is after the rest of the instrumental gets faded out to allow for the listening for the timing and building the drop of Dre's next verse. Doesn't take anything away. Still an impressive performance for both but being the producer the timing is well accounted for and prepped on the beat itself as it should be to take away some of the uncertainties in a live as this is not needed on the CD/Album version. Very well done to suit it to the live performance imo.
