Same here. I discovered these and have been pretty happy with them. I almost own everyone. Absolutely love the 14mm wide angle
Thank you ! You answered every question and doubt I had about purchasing the meike lens. I recently purchased the BMPCC4K
You are welcome! I’m glad that the video helped! Thank you so much for supporting the video!
10:46 Hello! I completely agree with you, the view of the camera in such a configuration as a baby movie camera)) this bundle is delightful and insanely beautiful !!!
Hi, thank you! Yeah, I really like having this baby cinema camera kind of look to the setup, it makes me happy when I’m using it, plus the image quality is amazing with this combination.
Awesome review man. Been tempting to switch systems for a while now but seeing other motivated m43 shooters keeps me motivated and grounded. Keep it up brother
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! It means a lot to us! I’m glad that the video helped! Definitely keep us updated! Have a great day!
Agree ! we need M4/3 users like us.
Great review definitely will pick up something wider or tighter. I have their little brother meike 25 f2, love it so much. Literally shoot everything with it.
Thank you so much for your support! Yeah, Meike lenses are amazing!
Great review man! I’ve got the 8, 16 and 25mm and absolutely love them!! Can’t believe how cheap they are 😍
That's awesome! I didn't know they have 8mm, they are absolutely amazing lenses for the price! Thank you so much for your kind words and support on the video!
@@henrymediagroup yes, their lenses are great. You can view my short test of filming the 8mm architecture here ua-cam.com/video/Y9-zFPzZ5RU/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for sharing your work and supporting the video!
Another great video here, Thank you !
Thank you so much for your kind words and support once again!
So a meike 12 mm is a 24, a 16mm is a 32 and a 25mm is a 50 right?
That’s a great question! Yes, you are correct if they are Micro Four Thirds lenses! Thank you so much for your support on the video!
Was considering getting the 17mm version. Thanks for the vibes brother!
You are very welcome! Thank you so much for your support on the video!
excellent review thank you! these will be my next purchases!

@@henrymediagroup you're welcome! Cheers from France :)

Thanks very much for this review. I like your priorities (similar to mine) and I also am filming dance performances from time to time, and architecture was my undergrad so I never dismiss as unimportant. I like your video style of no annoying music that is so loud it covers up your voice. I hope you consider adding an Ebay or BHphotovideo affiliate link if possible so I can throw business your way when I buy from those places too. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for your kind support and suggestions! I'm happy that you found the video enjoyable! It means a lot to us!
Love this video!
I work in studio and do a lot of still recordings with the BMPCC 4k, and have a Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 (Set at 28mm at 7.5ft from subject) with standard adapter. Should I get a speed booster? I want to get a Meike Cinema lens but not sure which one to go with, and not end up too far or too close to my subject for recordings. Which focal length do you suggest? I assume the t2.2 is plenty for indoors with lighting.
Using these cine lenses on my ZCam E2, love them!
That’s awesome! They are amazing lenses! Thank you so much for your support on the video!
Inspiring video! Thanks.
Thank you for your kind words and support on the video!
Good reasons, good review, and good recommendations. Thank you. I have a BMPCC4k with a 16mm Meike right now and am pleased with the quality, but was thinking about exchanging for a 12mm+25mm instead. Based on this, I think I will. I'm coming from a Nikon 11-20mm zoom, where I used both the 11mm and the 20mm a lot, but not much in between. I got the 16mm originally as a middle ground, but quickly realized I miss the wide angle of the lower end, and wouldn't mind being able to get the camera a little further away than 16mm sometimes (I shoot in workshop a lot, sometimes it's nicer to get the camera further from the dust/debris lol)
You are very welcome! I know what you mean, and that is why I went with the 12mm and 25mm combination because sometimes you just need that little bit wider angle. That's how I decide on prime lenses all the time. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Thank you so much for your kind words and support on the video as well!
I went with a 12mm, 16mm and 35mm. Kind of wishing that I went with a 25mm and 50mm with the 12mm. But now I’m just gonna save up to add them to the collection. Great video!
@@joelherrera_dp I did end up exchanging for 12 and 25, and I'm glad I did. Thinking I'll add 50 at some point. Still quite pleased with the lenses themselves
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and supporting the video!
I recently tried out the Meike 25mm on my GH5 and was very happy with it, so much so that I have a set of 3 more Meike lenses on the way! :D
I'm in love with those Meike lenses man, and also the price is really good! I wish they make all those for EF mounts! Thanks for the info
You are very welcome! That's awesome! I'm happy for you too! Yeah, the Meike lenses are so good and they are priced very well too! I think they are making full frame EF cine lenses now, hopefully we will be able to review them too! Thank you so much for your support!
@@henrymediagroup you’re welcome man. It’s a pleasure. Yeah, they did the 50mm (if im not mistaken) but I already have the nifty 50, so I was waiting for the 12 or 25mm... they will eventually come. Cheers from Italy 👍
Yeah, I heard they are making EF cine lenses too! Hopefully you will able to get them soon! Definitely keep us updated! Thank you so much for your support from Italy! 👍

Question: we are looking to purchase 2 bmpcc 4k cameras. They will be 40ft away from our focal subject matter. We want a tight shot and a wide shot. Would you recommend the meike lens for this type application?
Wow, your talking-head setup is so beautiful.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support!
Great video thanks 👍
Thank you so much for supporting the video!
I've been eyeing the Meike Cine Lenses for awhile. And yeah, I intended to start with the 25mm first. However, I'm on the verge of also buying standard Panasonic primes (25mm f1.7 and 42.5mm f1.7). Is using between them and the cine lens make a big difference in terms of image quality? I might be using the 42.5 more for close-ups of a talking person.
Great review
Thank you so much for your kind words and support!
Great review once again. What is your natural profile settings like contrast, sharpness, noise reduction, sat.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! That's a great question! My natural profile settings is -5 contrast, -3 sharpness, -3 noise reduction, and -3 saturation. Hope it helps!
Just curious if you had to buy only one of these lenses which one would you go with? 12-35mm or other?
Hey, is it possible to change the mount to E mount for example? The process should be easy, but have you seen somewhere the mounts for sale :) just an idea
what adapter did you use in you lens meike 12mm ?
Great review! Now I'm considering adding cine lens to my collection for my MFT camera, however I would like to know what is the equivalent aperture in F values shown in your camera when you open your Meike lens at T2.2
I understand that T vs F are not the same but how does it translates in F values? Keep up the great work!
The reason T and F values don't line up is because T measurement takes into account light that is lost inside the lens, and an F value doesn't - meaning the "true" light value will vary from F rated lens to F rated lens depending on the size, shape, design etc of the lens and how much light it 'eats up' inside before hitting the sensor. What I can tell you from my experience however, is that test shots between the Meike 25mm T2.2 and my Lumix 25mm F1.7 both set to the same numeric value on the iris ring was that the Meike appeared to be at least a whole stop brighter than the Lumix lens.
5:04 interesting side point: I see no banding as you stop down towards T22....why is that?? I've been trying to figure out this problem with polarization/banding. Seems it's an issue on youtube etc. Yet interestingly, here I don't see it as you close up the aperture.
I got the Len 16 mm t2.2 but does not fit in my black mag 6k , why ?
Is a good Choise I think, but about Depth Of Field, at 2.2 you see purple chroma abberation, isn't thrue?
great review! well done. what is that plate under your cage? I'm looking for that kind of plate cuz my camera fall down forward, so I need sth can support..
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! That’s a great question! Here is the plate under my camera cage:

@@henrymediagroup thanks man I order similar 100size one from my country. Appreciate!
You are very welcome! Thank you so much for your support!
The scales are not painted on, they are laser engraved. I inspected it under a stereo-microscope and also tried to scratch some paint off - all I got was shinier aluminium. So as long as the black paint does not come off near the numbers, it will not scratch off. (Tested with the 12mm and 65mm, the 25mm is not here yet).
Amazing video. Does the focal length is equivalent to a 24mm because of the 2x?
Yes sir
Dumb question probably, but on the BMPCC 4K (MFT) is the 25mm still a 25mm lens, or does it in effect become a 50mm ? Or is that just on full-frame cameras ? Thanks : )
That’s a great question! A 25mm lens on a MFT camera will become 50mm, you are correct! On a full frame camera, a 25mm lens will still be 25mm. Thank you so much for your support on the video!
@@henrymediagroup so a speed booster is required for the Meike MFT's on the black magic 4k?
@@DJ-to3vg if you're trying to get the exact focal length. You might need to get the EF version of it and pair it with the speedbooster instead. Since, there's no adapter m4/3-m4/3 tho.
If you can only get one 12mm or 25mm?
Really nice lens!
Yeah, the Meike cine lenses are amazing! Thank you so much for your support on the video!
Did you tried the Viltrox lenses ?
the 12mm in BMP4K is equivalent to 24mm?
Why you don't use 16mm focal range ? (32mm on BMPCC4K)
How does this compare to a Zeiss lens?
Looks like you used a black mist filter?
great view. I would like to buy some ttartisan, can you review it?
Henry, you make great stuff. Fortunately for GH5 users, there's an abundance of M 4/3 lenses to cover all user needs. AND, because the GH5 community including you have been unified in it's expressions of creativity and love for the camera - A new user or first time purchaser has an abundance of tech support and best practice use via the UA-cam community! This is why the GH5 will be around for a long time. Also, the pool is deep in terms of good conditioned used cameras and Panasonic is still producing the GH5 because the demand is so high. So even if Panasonic creates a GH6, I believe you'll see many GH5 owners keeping their cameras and making them a great B-cam. And if Panasonic makes a possible Gh6 with the ability to shoot 6K, I believe most users will still be satisfied with a 4K file. You can do a lot with a C4K 400 mbps 10 bit-4.2.2 ALL I file in post. AND considering that I've yet to hear any colorist complain that the footage is not good enough to be professional for high-end grading and coloring and it hold a "look" very well in post from start to finish.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! What you said about the GH5 and the Panasonic community is so true. I'm sure when the GH6 comes out, I will still keep my GH5 because of its versatility and image quality. Can't wait to see what Panasonic comes up in the future!
GH52 replaced the GH5, RIP gh5.
Are the benefits of bmpcc 6k pro not significant for you? As I understand you are an esthete and a lover of a compact kit!
We haven’t had a chance to get our hands on the new BMPCC6K Pro yet, but yes, since we do a lot gimbal work, we prefer a smaller setup mainly because of its total weight. And because we have more than one camera, we still prefer using regular ND filters so we can put it on different setups.

I like this guy more than I like his video. Straight to the point. no bullshit. Gives you his opinion just because he fucking can and you click on his video. For this reason I'll subscribe but not like this video. Thanks my guy. Keep it straight
Your audio quality is generally good, but in some videos like this one here, the lower frequencies of your voice are too dominant. Try to use an equalizer to bring down the lower frequencies a little bit.
Thank you so much for your suggestion! I will definitely work on my audio in the future!
This comment was too extra.Who cares about the frequencies, just absorb the message.
Better option - get a Metabones adapter + a set of the Meike Super35 ASP-C lenses. Even better low light performance.
100 links, no footage. smh
You review is solid, but you should have done some real world shots
And you will probably switch again🤷😂
