Hey man, thanks for this! Mine is arriving and Thursday and can't wait to shoot with it. Just wanted to give you a shout out that I love how interactive you are with your comment section. Keep up the quality work!
thanks Dillon, cheers dude.Your gonna love this lens, its crazy heavy but i have dropped it now several times and it still keeps going the build quality is super solid compared to most of my other glass. What camera are you gonna be paring it up with?
I have a buddy that's letting me shoot him tomorrow evening to try it out. Super stoked. I'm looking forward to shooting interviews now, since in my main job, I do corporate shoots. It'll be on a G85. I usually run it on a Ronin SC, but I'm thinking since the DSLR is so light it won't be too much trouble to balance with the new lens. Good to know that it's so sturdy. Tripped and fell walking backwards at my last wedding shoot, so I know it happens! Thanks for the reply man!
Hey man I have a GH5 and I’m finding it really hard to figure out what lens bundle do I go for Rokinon or Meike? I saw your other video about Rokinon being amazing now I’m confused between the two? Which 1 do I go for ? And with GH5 is it better to buy MFT lenses or buy EF mount ones?
Holy cow, you are gonna love that line-up of lenses! Send me a link to some of the footage you end up shooting. I would love to see the final results. Cheers on your purchase.
Hey dude, Im originally from florida so a few times a year I have a couple of gigs that I film down there. I do agree with your comment about the bokeh, I typically use the Lumix 25mm f1.7 or the Canon 50mm f1.8 + metabones .71x speedbooster to get the nice bokeh. I love the 12mm but as i mentioned in the video its wide but I would love something like a 7.5mm in this exact lens. But I love the overall look and feel of this lens with the gh5. Thanks for the comment dude cheers
@@allwrightmedia fantastic camera lineup. Im sure the Braww is nice to have when filming. I hear nothing but great things about the blackmagic cameras especially at their prices. What glass do you typically use? Cheers dude
@@LowellProductions Im still working on the BRAW workflow but even with ProRes, its a phenomenal camera with crazy optics...I came from Canon to Panasonic to Blackmagic
Hey Guys, would love your feedback on the footage shot with the Meike 12mm t2.2 I'm interested to see what you guys think of this lens at the roughly $400 price point??

Crees que se pueda usar con montura canon y el adaptador viltrox? o sería mejor con la montura M43?
Yep, the weebill S will handle the GH5 and the meike 12mm no problem. Here’s a video I did covering the lens and gimbal ua-cam.com/video/iRVLVnrIVRs/v-deo.html
I typically film in the natural profile: Contrast: -5 | Sharpness: -2 | Noise Reduction: 0 | Saturation: -5 | Hue: 0 As far as frame rates I typically film my interview footage at: 4k 10-bit 150m 24p and the broll shots were typically filmed at 4k 10-bit 150m 30p that way I could slightly slow down the footage. I also enjoy filming broll at 4k 8-bit 150m 60p as the footage looks super clean. Thanks for the question Cheers
@@emmanuelmarthol3156 I love that idea, anything in particular that you would like me to focus on? Maybe something that you are having trouble with? I will definitely make a video about the profiles settings for sure, cheers.

Hello i film with the gh4 + meike cinema lens as well but for the indoor shots theres so much grain i use filmmaking settings like v log and cinelike d but the image comes out very grainy still even on slight shadows on someones face and i over expose do you know why this could be?
I typically stay away from log or cine-d or cine-v on the GH4 & Gh5 as they seem to always have grain when I use those profiles. Instead I typically use Natural and Standard profile and just lower the saturation and hue in the profile settings and that typically gets me useable footage with less grain then the other profiles you mentioned. Cheers,
@@LowellProductions I just got mine yesterday. 8mm, 25mm, 50mm, 85mm. WIll be shooting a project next coming weeks. They are not as fast as the normal lenses I use so I will need some extra lights..

These lenses are so cheap you can always sell them if you move to FF cameras. You can literally get a set of 3 for about $1100 and 4 for $1500.
