Stay at it! Trucking is a great industry! You can also stay local if you don’t like OTR!! Don’t give up on your goals!! The only way you’re gonna learn is EXPERIENCE!! Backing , being situationally aware , taking care of your truck, etc etc all comes with time! I had to make many sacrifices to get my cdl through my company and now I’m on track to make double what I did delivering boxes last year! Be confident in yourself, and listen to everything your trainer says! Let go of any bad habits he may show you and keep/ improve on the good one’s!!! Im 22 from Portland and Im a technician for amazon. Although the money might be decent, Im tired of clocking in and out and slave away... A relative told me "Why make someone else richer when you can do it for yourself?" And from then on, I've been glued to the idea of trucking. My relative makes about 4k a week on average. Sometimes more depending on the season. I'm nervous leaving this job since I've been with amazon for years. Now time to become my own boss. My relative has a house paid off with land, 1 corvette , 1 gmc sierra, 2 snowmobiles, 1 jet-ski, and hes 24... Taking my CDL soon :) shout out from PDX!!!
The worst thing about trucking is that you work 24/7 and you never get to go home and see your family and friends. You're like a slave handcuffed to the wheel of the truck.

So wait I don't know if I missed it but how did you get insurance when you got your truck as a new cdl grad ? Or did you get experience first if so how much ?
Some insurance companies cover new o/o but you are going to be paying almost triple in insurance I think. Don’t quote me but I heard like $2k a month compared to someone with experience 800-1000.

Take an advice from an immigrant at 14 years old in the US in 1975. Eat bread and bitter herbs for one year and you’ll eat bread and butter for the rest of your life. It’s an old Jewish-Persian proverb meaning work hard for a few years and you’ll reap its benefits for the rest of your life. It worked for the Jews in Iran and it certainly is working for me as I retired four years ago at 58.

Sweet Mack pinacle my dad has a 2012 one with 388km on it
Just get 1 year of experience, get your hazmat endorsement and you can deliver gas for 120k/year
Not lying. Its easy money 💰 always hiring to

Shit.... yeah.. but shit....

This is what I need to hear, honest experience from someone just like my age. Imma really get on this I’ve seen a lot of negative comments about trucking but you’re out here motivating young ppl like myself
where do you take a shit when there's nowhere to park your truck and no restroom nearby
Enjoyed every minute of this and you are truly an inspiration
Thanks man 💯
Half way through the video and I can tell compa is a stud. This is what makes America Great!!! Wish you the best compa keep on grinding 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Good content bro, currently driving super 10 dump truck but your video’s are really making me want to buy a day cab, I’m just too scared to pull the trigger
Do it
did u get one?
Holy shit, dude your numbers went up!!!! Good shit man!! I remember when you used to drive the trucks that had tomatoes in them, man look where you at know, don’t stop!!
Bro. U r so LIVE. Respect. Yung n Wise. Ur amazing vato
Loved the video young sir, watch it in 1.5 speed. But I watch most of them like that anyways... Good step by step for the up in comers
I retired from trucking last year at the age of 33 after doing it for 14 years since I was 19 urs old switched over to do hot shot loads so far so good everything is paid for so everything I bring in is just revenue minus the gas and tolls since the F350 is still under warranty since it’s brand new even tho u still gotta have a CDL if ur hauling / gross weight is over 26k I don’t consider my self a trucker even tho I’m pulling heavy loads at times might sound weird but it’s just a feeling 😆 I got a Diamond C trailer and a BigTex 16GN trailer
Just got my CDL on feb 23. Been grinding driving tanker since. I love it. Keep stacking bread my G
You doing your fucking thing bro I respect the drive you have it helps me stay motivated
Ima visit you at the top 🙏🏿
Starting CDL school here soon on December 21st I can’t wait for a new career I’m over stocking shelf’s and having small paychecks sucks ass
Make more videos like this I personally love it I’m 26 I like to see hungry youngsters I’m currently trying to make better moves myself I hear you on the depression and always feeling you can do better but I think that’s you just being so hungry and that’s ok your a big motivation for me thankyou
i like this guy. super honest / humble
I financed my classes I have to do a road test this Wednesday coming up and then I’m all good. I have to take a drug test this Tuesday for Swift and I’m on my way to a over the road company. This whole experience being in school is amazing one thing I do want to give advice on don’t drink don’t smoke don’t do drugs leave all that shit alone because that’s one thing that will stop you from making $100,000 a year
You reminded me when I started trucking all the struggles at the bigening wanted to be o op from the berry bigening the brakedowns the learning how to do my own rapairs etc etc. Started in 2008 and still working strong right now. Still learning every day.
Hell yeah man I’m getting trained for free at my company and I’ll have a year round job driving a daycab
i go for my cdl permit in 8 days and im so looking forward to this.. i have been a salesman for more than a decade and I hate it at this point. can't wait to be on the road making bank and putting my family in a better position financially
When it comes to hauling local agriculture, where do you find loads?
Just picked up a 09 Colombia at 21. Gonna lease it on to xpo intermodel so let's see how this goes
Nice man congrats wish you luck !
The worst thing about trucking is that you work 24/7 and you never get to go home and see your family and friends. You're like a slave handcuffed to the wheel of the truck.
Seeing this video gave me the push i needed to fully go through it i got my cdl learners permit but got a bit hesitant when i seen tuition prices
Now im more motivated... I was hungry... but now. Now I'm starving
I barely got my cdl my story is similar to yours but different motivated me to really go for it and give it a shot In trucking. Great video thumbs up 👍🏻
Hey man, you Rock! I wish I had taken that path and made a move in business instead of wasting time/money in college. Just got a job with a local and looking forward to getting into the money that is flowing in abundance! Keep up the Great work!
Thank you I appreciate man 💪
i would love to do this but i always have this weird picture in my head that im going to mess up a turn or something lol
Can’t have success without some failures, so go for it!!! even if u mess up as long as u don’t quit that’s all that matters
Can’t learn to fly without crashing a couple of times
Getting my license next week if all goes well keep hustling 💯
legendary story bro i have a similar story man good shit bro
im 17 i just graduate from highschool i wnna turn 18 to get ma DCL permit and work on da state and start early
Its foolish..you dont need a house,or a lease Car.if you single....get a cheap rent condo, and a cheap car..then put all Money into your Bank, and grow and invest into your Buissiness..Thats how you get rich..🤔🤣🇺🇸🇪🇺
Honestly...go on tour talking to young men about this experience --and get paid to do it...I think! Awesome story! Living your American dream!
Hey what’s up bro this is inspiring very well done hit me up about the brokerage I’m still learning about that side of the business hope you make a video on that too happy holidays
Hey amazing video very happy for your success ! Congratulations. Got me wanting to chase the trucking world. I love to drive that’s why. One thing I enjoy very much no matter what kind of car I drive. Even if that’s a huge truck. Lol. (Which I’ve never driven before ) lol
My biggest fear is not getting enough time with my son , can anyone who had kids give the best way to go about that
You motivated me into this business and I just got my permit because of you bro! 🔥🤌🏼 You a goat keep it up !
Did you attend trucking school?
@@ton-locc8069 yes I did brother and honestly it was a bunch of help and I had zero experience driving one and now I’m driving confidently and with a new job so I recommend it
Take an advice from an immigrant at 14 years old in the US in 1975.
In the process of getting my Class A. Learning how to park and back up currently. Love your content bro much love and respect out of Gilroy, CA
Aye g where did u take your truck school I was tryna get into one but they be scamming n I’m from Gilroy!!

Thank J.Vetum for priceless information regarding your start/builds to accomplish your reachable goals. Some people don't understand what you must go through to get yours. This vid is inspirational, and thanks to you, I'm motivated even more to start my own Truck/Transpo business. Thank you again, please make more videos. :)

@@chief6369 yo how’s it going, I’m 18 thinking about doing the same thing.
@@javontegreen6096 The background check took forever! It took 3 weeks because it was stuck at my county. So they have to do a Probationary hire. But tomorrow I officially start my training. I’ll let you know how it goes!
I have a question how do insurance companies verify experience years. Do they just use when the cdl was given date or know exactly when you drove was it logged or something
What did you mean you should get dot for 250 so insurance thinks you have 1 ywae of driving
do you know of any companys near the napa area. i have 9 months of experience and im looking for a good company
Keep your head up buddy. You have so much to proud of!!
Great content ! Need this! Keep grinding & god bless 🙏🏿💪🏿
How can I found dump truck jobs that hire no exp in Houston tx?
LMAO that's some real cholo shit my man was wearing slides and socks out in the middle of fuckin nowhere dusty as hell 😭

Appreciate it thank you
I enjoyed this. With love from Australia
@ 16:57 I thought you were talking about cocaine 🤣🤣🤣
What would be yearly income after tax as a driver ? If you don't owe a truck?
