This is the epitome of perfection; everything is in the perfect place at the perfect time. Pure gold. He's Scottish, btw, something that comes as a shock when you hear him sing '10/10' and 'Pencil Full of Lead.' Seeing as you like this, you might like 'Ghost Town' by The Specials. Sonically, it's a completely different beast, but it still gives you chills when you hear it.
Love, love, love Paolo's voice. He is Scottish like me and comes from the next town to me. I can hear his Scottish accent whenever he sings. I love his gravelly, soulful, Celtic voice. He is so underrated. A legend in our own time. 🏴
I love, love, love this song so much! Paolo Nutini is such an underrated artist. He has an incredible range and a powerful voice. His music is diverse and includes soul, funk, blues, rock, and some of the most gorgeous tender ballads you will ever hear. Iron Sky is his masterpiece, but it shouldn't overshadow his other great music. My favourites are Through the Echoes, Everywhere, and Better Man.
A man with a mission. A vision to wake people up. Great job. It was awesome, got hooked into this song, lyrics and performance.❤ tanks for the reaction, Saeed❤
Love the grit in his voice. Ashamed to say I never even heard of this song let alone the singer. Yes we became so used to destruction ( human and our rock) that we turn a blind eye. Saeed thank you for making our daily ride much more jolly. Greetings from South Africa
This Paolo Nutini song was my introduction to his world of music many years ago now. He has taken time off over the years, so in my opinion, that may be why he's doesn't get the recognition that he could have. A great talent, so there's lots for you to pursue my friend. Enjoy.
That was so good! Like you, I knew this song from a singing competition. In my case, The Voice UK. I didn't know the original artist. This was the answer. Thanks!
Here's a "6 degrees of separation" moment. You remember this from The Voice UK, so it's probably Mo, who won the competition. Guess who was in the top 3 on the final night? look at the Backing singer with the Headband. . Just checked, Mo Jamil won in 2017... WOW... seems a lifetime ago!
Paolo’s from my home town, Paisley in the west of Scotland, he’s a wonderful performer and on his fourth album now and the speech is part of the song not just for the live performance. Songs I recommend by him Last Request, One Day, No Other Way & Pencil Full of Lead
Flying my 🏴🏴🏴 from Australia (though I’m actually currently in Auckland NZ for the weekend 😂) Love this song (and Paolo). This song has such a beautiful meaningfulness. Highly underrated. Would definitely recommend more of his songs. My personal faves are “scream(funk my life up)” and “no other way” but honestly the live versions are even better. The official acoustic version of scream, and the live on jools holland version of no other way showcase his true talent. Great reaction 💜
Great reaction 😊You wont go far wrong jumping into the Paolo rabbit hole. All his performances are excellent. He's from Paisley nr Glasgow in Scotland. Italian father & Scottish mother. Next reactions maybe 'No Other Way' live at the Leon Loft, Better Man, Last Request, Candy, Coming Up Easy... loads to choose from. Enjoy x
Meant to recommend "Scream(Funk My Life Up)[Official Acoustic]", or "One Day(official acoustic)". Also I am sure you know this by now, but he is Scottish with Italian ancestry.
@@SaeedReacts. Well, it took my daughter getting married and all of the lead-up prep to make me slow down, so I think I still need to learn that myself! LOL
Love Paolo. Very much under-rated probably because he consciously keeps away from the whole publicity/fame circus. He writes beautifully and performs with his whole soul. Also does really soulful ballads which would melt your heart. "No Other Way" live at the Leon loft is a great example. Or Echoes, or Autumn Leaves - lots to choose from. Pencil Full of Lead for a totally different vibe is also well worth a listen. Can't go wrong with Paolo. His backing band the Vipers are fantastic too. Everyone involved in this live version were at the top of their game.
Such a great song. Trombone indeed! Thanks for reminding me. I looked it up yesterday and there does seem to be a difference between a slide trumpet and a trombone, but im not too sure what it is.
@@SaeedReacts. A slide trumpet looks similar to a trombone but sounds more like a trumpet. I was interested what the dutch name is & when I looked it up from english it was trombone, when I used german (Posaune) it was schuiftrompet while this one is called Zugtrompete in german🤨🤷♂
Have you ever heard him covering Arcade Fires Wake Up, I definitely recommend you give it a listen if you haven't heard it before, talk about doing a song justice, this boy just blows my mind and we're so proud of him in Scotland🏴
The Iron Sky is our human psyche, our ego or in Buddhist terms our desires and fears. Transcending those into freedom is the act of attaining Consciousness and/or Enlightenment. When I close my eyes and hear this song I always think - it would make a superb opening or closing credit song in the Bond Movie franchise.
Or... The "Iron Sky" is the oppression of the masses by what we now call "the Establishment"? . As per the Charlie Chaplin speech from "The Great Dictator"?
@SaeedReacts. If you like the trombone: ua-cam.com/video/o0g82i784bw/v-deo.htmlsi=MpAr6HJF5zDfL8NH 01:05:25 two minutes full throttle, should do it... 😁
@@SaeedReacts. If you like the sound of the trombone : ua-cam.com/video/o0g82i784bw/v-deo.html 01:05:31 the next 2 min. on, should do it... ;-) ( like every other Symphony from Bruckner, esp. 4/5/6/7 (!!!) /8/9. )
Hi Nice reaction. Please if you want to react to Paolo. It would be interresting to start by the beginning of his career. Just to realize that he always have a pure talent and how he growed up.
This song came out when SCOTLAND was trying to gain freedom from ENGLAND and all the scaremongering from the English politicians were putting on Scotlands pensioners saying they would lose their pensions amongst other fear tactics.Paolo is from Glasgow.🏴🏴

Listen to his sunny side up album, Paolo knows what he’s speaking about !
Lots of incredible songs for you to discover - he is a very much under-rated singer/songwriter.

Thank you for reacting to one of my favourite all-time songs. 🙏 Paolo Nutini is an amazing artist, Scotland's unique gem. 🏴
Eargasm every single time. My favourite song ever!

I take it that you are referring to a Trombone. Slide Trumpet 😁😁
I just looked it up and there is supposedly a difference between a slide trumpet and a trombone. Learning every day 😅

Genius paulo try candy live
"Slide Trumpet" = Trombone
I like 'Candy' but try 'No Other Way' live on Jools Holland.
Just btw, shout out to Stevie Wonder, "Living for the City".
The slide trumpet is a trombone in English.
Goes in the same box as Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai.

I can imagine REN not covering, but "reimagining" this with a Rap inserted in place of or after Charlie.
(Don't shout at me, it was just a thought)
