@@sistahcatchachatt7 thanks for the support. Please send email for inquiries.
And don't forget you are in an expensive area. So go figure how much less it would have costed you to go buy in the cheaper neighborhoods like eastlands area cause I am guessing you must be around westlands side (cause Kilimani is regarded as an expensive town), which is seen as expensive in food, fruits and general stuff. So as a foreigner that is nothing. But for a Kenyan that is still a little expensive and someone like me would rather go to areas where I can get even better quality at a lower price. Lolest. That is Kenya for you. But of course if you compare to USD of course those fruits are cheap.
Whats the real name of currency in Kenya?
i love the fact that this seller was honest with his pricing even though he knew this guy must be a foreigner....
Sammy is great…Asante for your support!
The price was fair but it could be cheaper to be honest. You and me would get more out of the 1,000.
@@alexchui3511 Depends with where he is getting them from...kilimani , prices can't be the same with kawangware...
@@blacksignaturevisuals694 I get that and that's why I said it was fair though a local would get more out of the 1,000.
People of afro descent would find Kenya very comfortable to not only stay and work but have a long holiday too.
In fact any foreigner whether black, brown or white can easily live in Kenya.
ASANTE‼️ My wife and I are making our "BLAXIT" to Nairobi kenya from San Antonio Texas, as soon as possible‼️ It didn't take long at all to realize that 🇰🇪 KENYA🇰🇪 is home‼️‼️ Thank you so much for sounding the Alarm trying to wake our Kings, Queens, Princes, and Princesses up‼️ SHALOM
Patiently awaiting your families return 🙏🏾
Welcome home!!🤗💕💯🙏💃🥂
@@naomileja9597 Thank you. 🤗
Buying fresh fruit and veggies outside my door was one of my favorite things about Kenya! Oh and the price was great even when getting the American tax 😅
I enjoy the availability and affordability of fruits and veggies. And yes, the American tax always seems to be added in the equation😂
There was no American tax here. He was very honest in the prices. A local buying them fruits in Kilimani would also pay the same
He's a fair trader. He told you the truth. If you're in the middle of Nairobi getting well selected produce at those prices, he's probably making a reasonable but fair margin and giving you quality you can't get anywhere in the developed world for any price. Yes, if you are a Kenyan traveller and you can go to some deep spaces you might get lower prices but it's not worth it. This is a fair trader making a living providing great produce at a convenient location. Please promote him as much as you can.
the vendor has got a new loyal customer and friend.
As a fellow expat, I commend you for leading your family here to Kenya.
What country are you located in?
And I appreciate your words brother ✊🏾
@@mfalmemusa I reside in Kenya.
@@mfalmemusaglad you made it back home to our motherland mi bredda!,its my goal too .karibu kenya proud of you .jambo from mexico.ase.
Considering the quality and the neighborhood, thats a very good deal and the man was honest
Book a trip outside Nairobi agricultural areas and you will be shocked how much you spend on $10.
This I must do‼️
Asante 🙏🏾
Yeah, but the trip alone will wipe out the $10 and more!😂😂😂
😀😀😀😀@@charleschacha6876
@@mfalmemusaprices will half what you have spent but you will use fuel the equivalent of that other half. so you've a good deal. stick to that honest vendor.
He'll come back with a gunia of fruits
I love how we get to see the prices compared to America! Soo different! 🎉 Asante for this! Keep it coming! 🖤
For sure!!
I am married to a Kenyan lady here in the US and we are planning to retire in Kenya. I have been there before, and as a white American, I felt at home there. Just have to be careful as sometimes there is a bit of unwanted attention and always let the wife buy things to not get the mzungu price.
Mzungu price isn't common it's only that some people take advantage
...to mitigate that you don't buy instantly..but you ask 3 or 4 vendors and compare the price
It's way cheaper in local market. No wonder retired people are moving to Africa for natural food
Mexico has been a top destination for retiree’s but I believe Africa can/should be on the list as well.
Booked our 1st trip to the continent for April 2024 Nairobi specifically! Can’t wait! Met a Kenya yesterday here in my city. He’s moving back next year after 25 years in the states! Nicest guy one could ever meet!
I’m happy for you! You will love it! And Kenyans are the nicest people. Let us know when you arrive. Asante Sana for the support 🙏🏾
Karibu Kenya!! Welcome back home!! ❤
Thanks for sharing your experience in Kenya! We met a Kenyan in the US who worked at a Nursing home and took excellent care of our mother. He was the most kindhearted African man we had ever encountered.
That's amazing. Karibu
Welcome to Kenya, my home country. Sending you love from Gainesville , FL
The price was fair but a local would extract more out of the 1,000. No wonder he threw in some bonus fruits. All the same, good job!
The MOST impressive part....
was when he told the viewers *WHERE* to find this vendor
☀️😎☀️
Baaana
This is beautiful!! BLAXIT is a must💯💯
Kenyans are acting stupid on this comment section, if you get stuff for free in your local area don't think the whole Kenya is free , those prices are normal to many places in Kenya bro , that was standard price , not a rip off, I buy with the same prices where I live, and iam a local , not a foreigner.
It’s wild here in the comments😂🤣😂
Many people do not realize I was with a local and they explained how pricing reflects the area you’re in. So you’re absolutely right. It’s the same in the US. Pricing may be less expensive in different stores and neighborhoods.
Asante Sana🙏🏾
Good price..leave those who are acting like they have land in Nairobi
You’re right dada 😂 Asante Sana 🙏🏾
True. It depends with the neighborhood.
Ndioooooooo😅
If it was the local Market you would have gotten tripple that lol!
Wooooow! That is now on my list! Asante Sana🙏🏾
💯 please don't give all the African tea away.
Kenyans get paid $3 a day!!
Is that considered minimum wage?
@@mfalmemusa possibly less!
BRO 🙆🏾♂️🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀 I'm going tf crazy.. Shxt expensive over here in America
Let me know when you ready… Soon as you touchdown in 🇰🇪 we 🚀🚀🚀🚀
He's also Abit pricey...you can get even more cheaper than that...double what you had in total....he is pricey because of the neighborhood he's in.
I will be shopping at local markets more often to avoid these inflated prices. Asante Sana!
I thought he was overcharging but given the location the price is understandable
The avocado prices vary with seasons, at a different time of the year or outside Nairobi you’ll buy those for 11 cents each
I agree, they can be way cheaper than that...the other stuff was reasonably priced
Good job. On the next one, try negotiating with the price they give you, would love to see an American and a local going in!!!!!
Asante Sana for the insight. I’ll def do some bargaining next time!
This guy is feeling the way I was feeling while in Uganda 🇺🇬
It’s hard to explain in words… but you know!
And what's more impressive than using that amount of money for all of those groceries is the fact that they all ORGANIC!!! Grown with a little pesticides if any
Exactly bro‼️
Dude was very fair according to location of his shop. That was no rip off. But yes, in other areas, you can get way more than that. For example, you'd get like 5 avocados for the same amount in Kawangware, kinoo, Umoja etc.
Right! I’ve shopped at Kawangware and left with a lot more fruits and veggies. Like you said, all depends on the location.
@@mfalmemusa he pays more taxes where he's at to the city council guys than the guys at Kawangware..hence the hike in price. That's what some people don't get. But great coverage man. I am loving the content. Came across your channel less than 4 days ago I think. Keep up the good work. Would love to have a sit down with you sometime and share some ideas if you'd be down for that.

I love the fact the seller is honest with the prices
You know we aren’t eating like that in the states without spending like 50$ 😂
Mans a hustler though working them cartech hours!
You’re absolutely right! Fruits and veggies should be more affordable than the processed food….. but you can afford anything with those cartech hours😂🤣😂🤣😂
And, that is a high end fruits and vegetable stall. If you go somewhere deeper you may get all that for 600bob.
Very informative! The price is amazing compared to what we pay in the U.S . Asante!!
Glad it was helpful!
Funny how the guy is excited and that is an upmarket place 😂
If you were from the US you would understand😂🤣😂🤣😂
By today's exchange rate, 1,000 Kshs is actually $7.50! The "divide by 100" formula is no longer valid
Amazing Price To Pay For All Of That Organic Fruits In Africa 🌍 That Is Very Cheap.
Yes, compared to US prices where healthy food is not affordable to the avg citizen 🤦🏾♂️
I love it, i miss home. Can't wait to come back
Thanks for this bro
Appreciate you ✊🏾
Dude you are amazing, im definitely subbing, i just turned 20 and i want to move to Africa so bad
Come back home. it's about time.
The prices were very reasonable and fair for ksh 1000 and would have been even better with some bargaining. The best thing about most Kenyan food is that it's original, organic and fresh from the shamba.
Appreciate your support 🙏🏾
I still think it’s expensive!
It wasn't expensive. In Kilimani that's exactly how much you would spend too@@muthoni632

Tremendous value for fresh fruits!
Absolutely and they taste delicious‼️
You probably need to learn to bargain /haggle a bit so if you are told it's 40 ..ask for 30 ..or half the price and meet somewhere in the middle..buying stuff especially from the street is a social experience ..so we normally become friends with the vendors as we haggle...then you become a customer and friend
I liked this video...think I'll subscribe for future content.
Asante Sana… There is a lot more to come. Appreciate your support🙏🏾
😮😳😳😳 the bananas and the water melon alone are $10 here in Florida
Actually an $10 is equivalent to ksh 1500!... Those prices are actually higher... A distance from there, you are not exhausting $10 for fruits in a week.
With $1000 a month, you are automatically thrusted into a middle-class worth of lifestyle. A good apartment with complete utilities and amenities.
That was even expensive lol😂😂but it depends with the area!
Awesome
Thank you 🙏🏾
Haha.. that guy hiked the price
Wow! I love the Swahili Title/name. "Mfalme Musa" (King Moses)❤
Asante Sana Kaka🙏🏾
Everything was fair priced except for avocado.
Nice genuine seller

He even undercharged you onn the garlic, buy mine for 30bob...and he is an honest chap, 97% of the prices are fare and within the market prices range
He’s a real one ☝🏾
Wow all that at whole foods would be easily over $40. I would gladly buy from that brother.
You never lied!
It's so cheap why haggle hard working farmers this is coming from a US citizen sometimes just pay the people dammm
Goals! 😫 I juice and can spend $10 on 1 pineapple, 3 cicumbers, and a bunch if celery (AT SAM'S CLUB). 🤦🏾♀️ Healthy eating in the states is so costly.

ALL THAT FRUIT FOR $10 THATS ALOT OF SAVINGS... NICE
Health is wealth! Appreciate the support💪🏾
Wow this is great! That's 20 -30 dollars in fruit.❤
You must have a plug 😂
Hi Musa, don't know if this is the right place to make a business proposal, but I will go right ahead. I am a Kenyan with an e-commerce marketplace connecting buyers and sellers. We could partner and be able to link the diaspora as well. Imagine Africans and African Americans buying and selling to each other. Looking forward to hearing from you. Keep up the good work brother.
ooh man you should definitely get a local next time coz damn you got played!!!!...cucumber at 40?...sheesh..oooohh kilimani...you know thats like bevely hills right lol..no wonder the prices....
Bruhh they seem chill
Southern hospitality on steriods. Kenyans are the nicest people I’ve ever met.
But again sizes do matter as well.....
Yes, we get overcharged for produce in the US. Farm to table should be cheaper. You got a lot of food for the $
If you know you know‼️
One avocado 50ksh? Go to my mum's village, and buy one bucket of avocados to ripen at home. 🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️
Send me the address so I can pull up!
Where's he located? I want to support him when we come to Kenya.
Shopping veges in supermarkets or well organised structures in the town cost you more because they pay rent n taxes than in the open space markets
This makes complete sense. Asante Sana 🙏🏾
That's a lot of fruit, but consider people in Kenya make approximately $2-$3 per day for low manual or housework, so it's cheap for you as you're using USA$ but expensive for the local people.
Karibu nyumbani!🤗
I don’t understand why people are asking you to bargain coz, that’s how much are spending on each item too…🤷🏾♀️
And, only the sellers/venders go to the source anyway.
Enjoy your new found freedom 🫶
Asante Sana Dada 🙌🏾
I wouldn't trust myself not to charge you a foreigner tax. I believe the guy charged you exactly what he charges locals. This is a somewhat upmarket area though, so rices are higher. That said, if you went to the source market (where the guy buys from), you'd be shocked. The markets run very early and are done by 9 am or so. Prices are far more cheaper in rural areas though. Fruits & veggies are basically free, in USD terms
😮
I was keenly watching the prices the venndor was offringm indeed he was very honest same price as eastleighm
That’s my guy ✊🏾
Nice Video. In Uganda all that would have costed you 5 dollars.
Uganda is definitely on my list 🫡
You forgot to mention that all foods in Africa is 100% natural... so called organic foods or bio-foods! Stay blessed!
You’re absolutely right‼️
I need to go back and wfh in Kilimani 🙂
That’s the move for sure.
A good organic mango in The Netherlands costs roughly 5 Euros, 1 avocado is 2,99. In total the whole shopping would cost me around 60 Euros.
Wow
Sheeesh😅
The avocados are expensive by local standards 😅
And that price still high, but every single place have there own price according to the place, you live in, if you get to the slums or inside the market it's half price of that,
Very true‼️
And say hi to Sam the vendor!!😅
Absolutely! That’s my guy🤞🏾
Don't compare the prices to here. These people plant and do not import. Also, no jobs. Someone can work an entire day and not make $10. So, let's stop deceiving ourselves. I am a Ghanaian American and I'll tell you, life ain't cheap in Ghana. Super expensive.
The avg American household can’t afford to eat healthy with plenty of fruits and veggies. That is exactly why Mcdonalds has a $1 menu and there’s long lines. Who are we deceiving?
Could be expensive in ghana but not in kenya kenya .is advanve..i can compare i stayed in west africa ..as well .
I subscribed because you eat healthy.
Most travelers just gorge on foreign junk.
The healthy food is in abundance, so there is no need to eat the junk.
