Perhaps my favourite video yet Zeb. Raw & simple and I appreciate your description matches the actual (integrity) & replenishment of the wood. Top bloke.
That's means alot thanks Dave. I always try to leave places the same as or better than I found them. I know how much I appreciate it when I get to a hut or somewhere and there is firewood and the place is clean. Cheers.
BK, this one popped up in my YT feed this morning. Had a great time re-watching it! After a wet cold night like that, nothing better than to get to the car and then home for a long hot shower. Oh, the luxury of modern life. Merry Christmas. Cheers!
your views are picking up, bro! really happy for you!! Your channel is "bingeworthy"! It's like a weekly series for me and my partner waiting for new vids on a Sat evening! but no pressure, enjoy your trip and keep us posted, if you may. :) have a lot of fun!!!
Thanks alot Jet. I'm so glad you guys enjoy my weekly videos, I'd love to post more but these trips take alot of time and effort. I really appreciate all the support. Cheers bro.
Mate I had to laugh when you said your t shirt got a little bit wet, standing there it looked 1% dry🤣🤣. Man theres wet and then there that, really challenging conditions well met again. Right idea about about getting the fire going right away, love that hut too. I bought a dehydrator just over a month ago, want to start making some lightweight trail food, so awesome to see you doing it too. Loved those peanut bars you made by the way, I really appreciate these videos cause I get to see home and i actually miss that kind of weather, imagine staying out in the bush when its like that. You nailed this one, all the best chris
Haha thanks Chris. My t shirt sure wasn't dry, I'm glad you got a laugh out of it 😂. It would have been extremely challenging if I didn't have that shelter. I kept on thinking, boy am I glad I'm not under my tarp right now. It would have been interesting at the same time though. Im having a load of fun with my dehydrator, I can create yummier meals and it's also a lot cheaper and reduces my single use packaging. The peanut butter bars are awesome, I think they will be my go to trail snack from now on. It's awesome to know you get something out of my videos mate, I really appreciate the support. All the best bro, Cheers. Zeb.

Another great video! Great job on the rehydrated food that’s awesome. Cool shelter too. I LOVE peanut butter it’s my fave the bars looked delicious and the bagel with PB yummy. I got up and made toast with PB lol thanks for the video 💖
BIG congratulations on your viewing and sub numbers. They've gone through the roof. Well done. I dont know how many times Ive walked past that shelter, but never thought to stay there! Great video.
Hello from NZ. Canada is my favourite country not including NZ so its awesome that you guys enjoy my videos 🙂. I don't think I'll be eating too many store bought bars from now on. I like my ones better! Thanks for the support. Cheers
Looks like a great spot to be. This is the first of your videos I have watched. I love that you are making your own meals. I have wanted a dehydrator for a while but haven't got one yet. Your peanut butter bars looked great too. Your recipe would be good to have. :) I look forward to watching more of your videos and continuing to dream when I can travel again.
I appreciate it! I would definitely recommend you get a dehydrator, I'm enjoying using mine. I'll get the recipe for my peanut butter bars and post them here tomorrow. Thanks very much for the support. Cheers

Nice excursion into the bush. Maybe leave the dehydrated food to sit for 10 minutes, still sealed up, when you think it’s ready. Do you ever see any kiwis on your travels?Cheers from across the ditch.
Thanks bro. Yeah I think that is where it ent wrong with my food, thanks for the advice. Unfortunately I am yet to see (or even hear) a kiwi when I have been out in the bush, hopefully one day. Cheers
Awesome adventure mate. I always make my dehydrated food...spaghetti,macaroni, stews...ect. don't use oil. You can find really good dehydrated meals on UA-cam. Stay safe and healthy mate 👊💥 🇨🇦
👏👏👏 Tough hike in with that weather brother, rough as. I am so glad you have your chair. Good on you making those peanut/ choc bars. And your meals. Cool looking area. Good to see you still testing your new gear. Thanks for posting zeb, plenty of viewers on this one.crazy weather alright, you are hardcore.👊🥳
Thanks Jason. Yeah it wasn't a super long hike but it was a bit of a trudge in the rain and wet. The chair was awesome to have on this trip and I'm having fun trying out different foods with my dehydrator. Cheers bro.
Normally I would, but the wood was a little damp and I didn't want to make the fire struggle even more by messing around with cooking on it. Also I wanted to try out my alcohol stove again. Good question bro, I should have touched on it while out there but it skipped my mind. Cheers
You asked for advice. I would not have put my fire out before I went to bed, I would have banked it toward the wind, in case I needed to restart it during the night o in the morning.
Cheers Jake. I didn't want to run the risk of it accidentally starting up in the night and I didn't think I would need it, if I did need it I had plenty of fire starters to get it going quickly. I appreciate the advice though. Thanks
Enjoying your videos bro. Definitely motivating me to do more camping. May I ask where you got your tracker knife from? Been looking online and struggling to find anything local. Any issues with getting them through customs? Cheers
Thanks bro, that's awesome to hear, I love knowing that my videos inspire you to enjoy the outdoors. I got my tracker from a guy on the Bushcraftusa forums a few years ago now, he does have an etsy but I'm not sure if he is taking orders or anything. www.etsy.com/shop/LowlandForge. There are plenty of awesome knife makers in NZ, you could try hitting one of them up to see if they would do a tracker style knife. As with getting knives through customs, I've gotten numerous blades shipped here from the states and have never had a problem. Hope that helps. If you need any more help just ask. Cheers

why do all or most, of the videos like this, just do overnighters, I have never spent just on night out in the woods, I think the shortest time I've spent out, was, 5 days 4 nights... I don't get it, seems to me just a one nighter is just a waste of time... just saying...
Hey Patrick. I would love to be able to spend 4 days out in the bush but unfortunately life gets in the way so I get out whenever I can, usually I can only do one night. I don't consider it a waste of time, even a few hours in this bush is better than none. Cheers
