I was 14 yrs old on the Eastside around the 30 yard line. Most memorable game I've ever been to in Death Valley, been to many too. Geaux Tigers

Best sporting event I've ever witnessed. Stadium was electric and deafening. Could not hear my friend scream into my ear during big plays. And to beat Spurrier back then was almost unthinkable. Florida was a damn juggernaut in the 90's. ESPN made it an Instant Classic that night and I watched it then too. Geaux Tigers!!

This Game Brings Back a Ton Of Memories For Me and My Family. My Mom was on Cloud 9 When LSU Upset Florida. And there's One Thing that did stick out, Florida Turned the Ball Over 5 times.. That was Never Heard of under Steve Spurrier.

This was the most electrically exciting game I've ever been to. The student section was just dynamite the whole night.

I hung out with Fred Weary at a Nola bar during Mardi Gras about 6 years after this and he told me it was the craziest atmosphere he'd ever been a part of.

My son and I watched as the goal post slowly made their way up the south stadium endzone seats.

Most overrated win in LSU history. Pissed it away a week later by losing to Ole Miss, a team LSU beat 39-7 in '96 and 38-9 in '95. LSU didn't play in the SEC championship game. Went to the stinking Independence Bowl to play a Notre Dame team which waxed LSU 24-6 in Tiger Stadium. Florida won the next three meetings from LSU. LSU was 10-17 under DiNardo after this game.

What STUPID comment. The atmosphere and jubilation in the stadium that night was incredible. Florida had killed LSU for 10 years in a row (and pretty much everyone else) and had beaten them 56-13 the year before. It felt like winning a national championship since it was the first time LSU had ever beaten the #1 team and Florida was on a 25-game winning streak. Any person who was there can attest to what an unbelievable atmosphere it was. Yes, LSU slept through the 11 am Ole Miss game the following week, but that doesn't take away from the feeling and memory of that night which showed what the program could be when everything came together.
By the way, could you be any more negative?? Oh, and you forgot to mention that LSU went on to blow out Notre Dame 27-9 in the bowl game and also gave Bama their worst loss ever at Bryant-Denny 27-0 that year.

@@drewledbetter8317 thank you drew!! Clearly this 🤡 isn’t a true LSU fan nor from Louisiana. True followers of this team never backlash them even in bad times because dealing with adversity and overcoming it all is what makes it all worth it
