Really appreciate the extra effort you put in changing classes. I don’t know much about this mod other than watching GNS in which he said the difference in classes does change the mod a fair bit (different weapons, potions etc) . Happy to be able to provide entertainment to folks! Reminds me of my in-laws; they love the game but they always put it on super easy settings. I find if there is no challenge, there is no feeling of victory.
The quest marker sent him to have his guts spilt. I think, since he likes a challenge, he should restart and play on survivor with headshot only. It's so much more immersive. Also, Gen, using weapons that your class isn't spec'd towards will cause your character level to rise and give you 0 xp towards anything class related. Natural selection really adds up quickly. Good luck and consider playing in survivor/headshot only mode.
@@Genosis Playing Survivor requires you to start fresh with one of the supplied custom maps. I wouldn't do it as a first playthrough. You should understand how the mod works before jumping in. The Headshot only is a modlet called X Marks the Spot under the optionalMods folder (as is the Survivor modlet). I'd say you should just play what feel good to you. Jean's Gaming is already doing a Survivor, Headshots only playthrough.

You don't get the rifle until you level the class. Works that way with nearly all the classes (not the melee master - berserker), starts melee, eventually the ranged weapon unlocks once you reach a high enough level in your class.
After GNS, I was hoping to see more of this mod. He kept finding badass weapons that he couldn't use because of his class so now we get to continue the adventure!
@@Genosis Absolutely. I keep the best weapons from each set just in case I need them (have to go and retrieve my backpack) or just to mix things up every now and then. Even without spec'ing into it, lvl 6 steel knucks still crush skulls and a lvl 6 stun baton with a repulsor mod on it will still send them flying. Plus, using your off weapons on the regular guys saves wear and tear on your go to weapons/ammo for when you really need it.
In the phrase “make do” the spelling do is correct. I taught English, grammar, spelling, speech, and reading for 20 years. Due is correct in the phrase “due to” as in “due to a lack of food he starved.” Love your content!

Been waiting for this premier, too bad you had to restart so many times, but as you said it gave you experience. I see that you don't use the cloth to make healing bandages. You get cloth, bullets, and other important stuff like elements from the special zombies that come important later - don't throw this out! Love your videos, keep up the good work.

It really does; I get hyper focused on the series mod I work on at the time and when new ones come up I’m behind the curve. This was surpasses some of the bigger mods I think
"Due" is an adjective meaning owed or having reached a date. "Do" is a verb meaning to bring about, perform, or execute. So, make do is the proper usage in this situation.
I suppose I looked at is as "make due" as in last over time, or to get something you are due to receive. I guess I didn't question it after all these years and seeing "make do" just seems almost silly, like partial language. Like "walk go" lol.

I really hope once alpha 21 goes live and Ramsey gets the mod stabilized, that he puts it on mod launcher. I've tried installing it before and keep messing it up. Despite what seems like really clear instructions. I really enjoyed Tem's playthrough, and applaud you putting in the extra effort to give us a different experience. Looking forward to this series for sure!
The mod installed as easy as any other, it’s all about having a clean install of 7 days and copying it to another location to add the mod folder to it. Maybe try following the “how to install war of the walkers” video I made but with the link I have in the description

You can drop your backpack and spawn near it not necessarily having to die first. Example: being chased by zombies, drop your backpack, runaway, then spawn back to the backpack to get away or regain stamina
I'm currently playing this mod as well and I'm really enjoying it. I'm playing Witchdoctor but I may do another play-through as a Hunter in a day or so.

Great series start, and I'm glad you're doing a different class, but I'm playing a variant of this MOD and we have repairable vehicles on our server. Everyone notes on a map everything repairable that they find. You never know when you may need it. Highly recommend that you do the same. It's a great time saver.
@Genosis - I think you may have the wrong map linked above my friend. Your Vid shows you to be in Jumojo Territory but the map download above is for Faxojuo Mountains. I tried it and the location you started is not the same biomes as at those co-ordinates in the downloaded map. Keep up the great content 👍
Cool I have been hoping you were going to play this, it looks wicked fun. I have been a little hesitant to try this G.N.S. plays through looks way to intense for me( I am a more relaxed style gamer) but I am sure we are going to enjoy this series.
I prefer to judge my first impression of a mod on default/intended settings, I get why you'd want to amp up settings though, makes for more "chaotic" moments that make for good content.
You need to lvl your hunter with spears and bow's at the beggining then at lvl 3 or 4 it would unlock the class representative gun (is almos the same/similar with all classes) also watch out for the missery information.
Yeah I didn't notice this on my solo play, but having done that, I expected to see the long range rifle skill and it wasn't there. I believe its only on level 2 it unlocks and gives you the rifle

There's quite a few YT'ers who took it -- been binging them the past few days. Very interesting to see the different approaches of it. The best one I seen featured a tall tower with a huge amount of shotgun turrets. Nothing even got close to the top.
@@Genosis The tent I used isn't even in the game anymore. That was way back when you'd get a random map with endless amounts of nothingness. It's like around day 20-ish and I'm looking for POI's - seen a campsite with two tents. So I go over and loot it -- but here comes a bear. So I got up on top of the tent. Waited until he wandered off and started running away - right into another bear. So now I had two bears. Turn around and got back up on top of the tent. I had a lot of help when the horde came - turns out two bears can really wreck a horde. About half the tent was torn down and both bears ended up dead but I survived a horde from on top of a tent. lol!
in your UI under your basic stat (health, stam, ...) you have another panel Stats, this mod come with the modpack rebirth or i can find just the Ui panel ? seems very practical.
I still say NPCs you hire should have auras and traits that apply benefits or detriments to you and they should need stuff at home to get benefits while at home. Traits it would be interesting if they had like needs and wants that need to be met so they could work better. all give them would different bonuses or keep them from being tire. and depending on the quality of the areas, the better it works for them. there are 2 times of Traits, be personal and Job related. low level NPCs start off with 1 but as they level up, they can have up to 3. some ally NPCs traits could have a need fulfilled. If an ally have a personal trait like Blood-lust which I said "Blood-lust is a need to go out and kill at least once every 7 days" and it is not fulfilled, they shooting rate will be lower while at home. if it is, their shooting rate will go up by 10% while at home. Then there are Job Traits. Firefighter. This could lower the burn damage you take and has between a 5% to 25% chance of just putting out a fire near by. it can also also have a home part to it that keep with fires at home. both of them can be improve by having things like a firefighter's axe and a fire extinguisher and buckets of water giving a 5% boost each. they can have more than one of each but it would not stack the boosts. it would help in case one is all used up or breaks. if you have a fire truck at home, it could give them a up to 100% chance to put out fires as long as it if full of water and base on their level. how they level up is base on their jobs. firefighters have ranks 1 Volunteer firefighter 2 Probationary firefighter 3 Firefighter/EMT 4 Firefighter/Paramedic 5 Driver Engineer 6 Lieutenant 7 Captain 8 Battalion Chief 9 Assistant Chief 10 Fire Chief a Fire Chief has a 50% chance to put out any fire on you and any fire at home but with a fire track, it is a 100% change. with buckets of water and afire extinguisher and a Firefighter's Axe on them, it is a 115% change which means they use 15% less water. Cook/Chef Cooks helps to lower food poisoning and cook meals if they are placed in a kitchen. as long as they have what they need to cook the meal, they will cook it and their meals can be of a higher quality and they could use less ingredients the higher their levels are. how do cooks level up. they start out as cooks. Line Cook, Prep Cook, Relief Cook, and Short Order Cook are level 1 to 3. base on this, you can take a guess which one they are most likely to go into at level 3 which is when they become Station Chefs or Specialized Chefs. Station Chefs or Specialized Chefs actually have more then 1 type. Pastry Chef, Sauce Chef, Fish Chef, Vegetable Chef, Meat Chef, Pantry Chef, Fry Chef, Grill Chef, and Butcher Chef. at this level they will use less ingredients of those items to cook with. at level 7, they become a Senior Chef. at level 8, they become a Sous Chef, at level 9, they become a Executive Chef, and at level 10, they become a Executive Chef but they keep the titles of the other ones so at level 10 they can be a Executive Chef(Vegetable Chef, Line Cook) or a Executive Chef (Butcher Chef, Prep Cook). they keep the benefits from lower levels. so if a Executive Chef(Vegetable Chef, Line Cook) makes a meal that could take 5 of the same vegetable to make, they could do it with 1. but if it takes 5 meats, it would go down to 3 seeing as they were a Vegetable Chef and not a Meat Chef.
oh and you can place them in a permanent station while at home then when you return home with them, you can tell them to return to their station and they will run off to it.
It’s a cool notion, I’d love a mod that lets you build an npc community. Assign tasks, build sleeping quarters, send them out for missions, mount a rescue if the mission fails, etc
@@Genosis like xcom 2 but.... zombies... and 3-d.... and first person.... wait. Oh and Personal and Job Traits would allow to pets as well. Dogs would have a better danger sense or a hunter sense that's 4 times farther away but as they level up, they will be able to do like a ping system. Some would be better at sensing humans, some for zombies, and some for animals. the military people Patrol areas at home for the day time but also do weapon repairs. Farmers take care of the farms but can also be sent out to find seeds. Hunters would go out and get meat. Loggers would get wood. Herbalist get flowers and herbs. Miners would get metals and so on. But how do you know where to send them. Well that's were the Scouts come in Scouts will scout out an areas. The better their scouting levels are, the faster they are and they could spot something that you might be interested in. They could spot vehicles that could be useable and they are also the far less likely to get hurt because they are doing it from a safe distance.... ...unless they have the hidden Trait Reckless. That's right. 1 personal Trait, 1 job trait, and the possibility of a third hidden trait. The only way you find it out is by taking them out and talking to them then checking their stats. the real dangerous part is you have to assign them in groups. You could send 1 out by themselves but the chances of them coming back unharmed and alive is lower because they didn't have protection. You could send hunters out together and they could come back with a lot of meat also end a bitten as they didn't have any security guards with them. Do you send a group with one of each but what they come back with is random. you sent them out for meat and they only got wood and stones. also each group would have a pet slot. I have so many ideas but I don't know how to make mobs.
@@Genosis each vehicle would have s limited number of NPCs you could take. Bike and mini bike 1/2 only pet. Motorcycle 1 to 1.5. 4 by 4 is 2 to 4 because you have to build seats. Ambulance up to 6. Again seats. But also heals NPCs. Around it. Fire truck up to 8 but can put out fire with water which needs to be filled.

the resistant zombies should have special remains. explosive resistant remains in that case. You'll want to save those. Only thing i'll say from my watching experiences. Hecj, save anything you haven't seen in vanilla... ;)
Well.....Wandering around aimlessly for airdrops isn't pain, it's a petty annoyance :P I want to fear for my life from zombies, not vaguely annoyed a box dropping into a forest I may never see.
don't feel bad about copying others, i think 95% of players try Witch Doctor either second or first, because it is so unique compared to the other classes which you get similar vibes from Darkness Falls classes.
Oh yeah, Tem was too fast and now you have to pick another class. Tbh I think Hunter class just suits you more... Maybe because of that Bow only series :)
hi genesis the Mod Download file u put in the description doe not work at all for my pc I download the files and put them to my 7d2d mod folder but i still have problems with getting the mod to work and yes EZ anti cheat is off already
Link works for me, and it was the one I had used to install the version I am playing on. When it comes to installing all new mods and you are having trouble, empty out your [User]/appdata/roaming/7daystodie/mods folder, uninstall/reinstall 7d2d (you could get away with a file integrity check possibly), then install the mod in a clean install.
I looked it up, man that’s crazy. I spelled it out “due” all my life and “make do” just reads so uncomfortable for me. Almost primitive. I’m gonna die on this hill! I will have my due!
With mods could be all kinds of things, a lot more variables to keep track of to broadcast to all clients. Maybe a dedicated server (if you are not using one already)
For the first episode, yeah kinda do. Folks following along don't always play the mod, or even 7 days to die. I just want everyone to be able to know what is going on, and why I am doing what I am doing. I can see why it might be tedious for folks already familiar

Ah yeah, that sounds frustrating. I keep a weapon for each ammo type in a pinch, but try to stick to leveling my class

It has mineshaft schematics which I assume is some kind of elevator. I'll have to check it out
I played a UDL mod where my second trader was in the wasteland. The scorpians made it very tough, but I got great loot quickly.
The wasteland is no joke lol, the bandits being the worst of it I've seen so far
The zombies say, "Get Rekt? Get Rekt?" You'll find them at the trader, no doubt...
Normal bandages give health in this mod Genosis. Make sure to make a few even a small amount stacked up will help.

Bars above the ladders might help. Also, how about a campfire at the bottom of the ladder to set them on fire?
I’ve never find that to be particularly effective considering the use of resources to keep the fire going

Yeah when I catch a decent repairable vehicle I'll likely do that. They don't seem to hard to find at least!
Personally I mainline CON at the start for Packmule. Always be looting.
Also that Healing Factor key binging is really helpfull.
A viable strategy, it's also one of the toughest ones to level up relying on resources (drugs) or taking damage from zombies
@Genosis - I think you may have the wrong map linked above my friend. Your Vid shows you to be in Jumojo Territory but the map download above is for Faxojuo Mountains. I tried it and the location you started is not the same biomes as at those co-ordinates in the downloaded map. Keep up the great content 👍

Cool I have been hoping you were going to play this, it looks wicked fun. I have been a little hesitant to try this G.N.S. plays through looks way to intense for me( I am a more relaxed style gamer) but I am sure we are going to enjoy this series.
Tem massively upped his difficulty right from the get go. Give it a shot on standard settings if you think it looks fun.
I prefer to judge my first impression of a mod on default/intended settings, I get why you'd want to amp up settings though, makes for more "chaotic" moments that make for good content.

You need to lvl your hunter with spears and bow's at the beggining then at lvl 3 or 4 it would unlock the class representative gun (is almos the same/similar with all classes) also watch out for the missery information.
Yeah I didn't notice this on my solo play, but having done that, I expected to see the long range rifle skill and it wasn't there. I believe its only on level 2 it unlocks and gives you the rifle

There's quite a few YT'ers who took it -- been binging them the past few days. Very interesting to see the different approaches of it. The best one I seen featured a tall tower with a huge amount of shotgun turrets. Nothing even got close to the top.

@@Genosis The tent I used isn't even in the game anymore. That was way back when you'd get a random map with endless amounts of nothingness. It's like around day 20-ish and I'm looking for POI's - seen a campsite with two tents. So I go over and loot it -- but here comes a bear. So I got up on top of the tent. Waited until he wandered off and started running away - right into another bear. So now I had two bears. Turn around and got back up on top of the tent. I had a lot of help when the horde came - turns out two bears can really wreck a horde. About half the tent was torn down and both bears ended up dead but I survived a horde from on top of a tent. lol!

in your UI under your basic stat (health, stam, ...) you have another panel Stats, this mod come with the modpack rebirth or i can find just the Ui panel ? seems very practical.
Pretty sure it’s rebirth specific, I’ve never seen it in any other pack
I still say NPCs you hire should have auras and traits that apply benefits or detriments to you and they should need stuff at home to get benefits while at home.
Traits
it would be interesting if they had like needs and wants that need to be met so they could work better. all give them would different bonuses or keep them from being tire. and depending on the quality of the areas, the better it works for them.
there are 2 times of Traits, be personal and Job related. low level NPCs start off with 1 but as they level up, they can have up to 3. some ally NPCs traits could have a need fulfilled.
If an ally have a personal trait like Blood-lust which I said "Blood-lust is a need to go out and kill at least once every 7 days" and it is not fulfilled, they shooting rate will be lower while at home. if it is, their shooting rate will go up by 10% while at home.
Then there are Job Traits.
Firefighter.
This could lower the burn damage you take and has between a 5% to 25% chance of just putting out a fire near by. it can also also have a home part to it that keep with fires at home.
both of them can be improve by having things like a firefighter's axe and a fire extinguisher and buckets of water giving a 5% boost each. they can have more than one of each but it would not stack the boosts. it would help in case one is all used up or breaks.
if you have a fire truck at home, it could give them a up to 100% chance to put out fires as long as it if full of water and base on their level.
how they level up is base on their jobs. firefighters have ranks
1 Volunteer firefighter
2 Probationary firefighter
3 Firefighter/EMT
4 Firefighter/Paramedic
5 Driver Engineer
6 Lieutenant
7 Captain
8 Battalion Chief
9 Assistant Chief
10 Fire Chief
a Fire Chief has a 50% chance to put out any fire on you and any fire at home but with a fire track, it is a 100% change. with buckets of water and afire extinguisher and a Firefighter's Axe on them, it is a 115% change which means they use 15% less water.
Cook/Chef
Cooks helps to lower food poisoning and cook meals if they are placed in a kitchen. as long as they have what they need to cook the meal, they will cook it and their meals can be of a higher quality and they could use less ingredients the higher their levels are.
how do cooks level up.
they start out as cooks. Line Cook, Prep Cook, Relief Cook, and Short Order Cook are level 1 to 3.
base on this, you can take a guess which one they are most likely to go into at level 3 which is when they become Station Chefs or Specialized Chefs.
Station Chefs or Specialized Chefs actually have more then 1 type.
Pastry Chef, Sauce Chef, Fish Chef, Vegetable Chef, Meat Chef, Pantry Chef, Fry Chef, Grill Chef, and Butcher Chef. at this level they will use less ingredients of those items to cook with.
at level 7, they become a Senior Chef. at level 8, they become a Sous Chef, at level 9, they become a Executive Chef, and at level 10, they become a Executive Chef
but they keep the titles of the other ones
so at level 10 they can be a Executive Chef(Vegetable Chef, Line Cook) or a Executive Chef (Butcher Chef, Prep Cook). they keep the benefits from lower levels.
so if a Executive Chef(Vegetable Chef, Line Cook) makes a meal that could take 5 of the same vegetable to make, they could do it with 1. but if it takes 5 meats, it would go down to 3 seeing as they were a Vegetable Chef and not a Meat Chef.
oh and you can place them in a permanent station while at home then when you return home with them, you can tell them to return to their station and they will run off to it.
It’s a cool notion, I’d love a mod that lets you build an npc community. Assign tasks, build sleeping quarters, send them out for missions, mount a rescue if the mission fails, etc

Oh and Personal and Job Traits would allow to pets as well.
Dogs would have a better danger sense or a hunter sense that's 4 times farther away but as they level up, they will be able to do like a ping system. Some would be better at sensing humans, some for zombies, and some for animals.
the military people Patrol areas at home for the day time but also do weapon repairs.
Farmers take care of the farms but can also be sent out to find seeds.
Hunters would go out and get meat.
Loggers would get wood.
Herbalist get flowers and herbs.
Miners would get metals and so on.
But how do you know where to send them. Well that's were the Scouts come in
Scouts will scout out an areas. The better their scouting levels are, the faster they are and they could spot something that you might be interested in. They could spot vehicles that could be useable and they are also the far less likely to get hurt because they are doing it from a safe distance....
...unless they have the hidden Trait Reckless.
That's right. 1 personal Trait, 1 job trait, and the possibility of a third hidden trait. The only way you find it out is by taking them out and talking to them then checking their stats.
the real dangerous part is you have to assign them in groups. You could send 1 out by themselves but the chances of them coming back unharmed and alive is lower because they didn't have protection.
You could send hunters out together and they could come back with a lot of meat also end a bitten as they didn't have any security guards with them.
Do you send a group with one of each but what they come back with is random. you sent them out for meat and they only got wood and stones. also each group would have a pet slot.
I have so many ideas but I don't know how to make mobs.
@@Genosis each vehicle would have s limited number of NPCs you could take.
Bike and mini bike 1/2 only pet.
Motorcycle 1 to 1.5.
4 by 4 is 2 to 4 because you have to build seats.
Ambulance up to 6. Again seats. But also heals NPCs. Around it.
Fire truck up to 8 but can put out fire with water which needs to be filled.

the resistant zombies should have special remains. explosive resistant remains in that case. You'll want to save those. Only thing i'll say from my watching experiences. Hecj, save anything you haven't seen in vanilla... ;)

don't feel bad about copying others, i think 95% of players try Witch Doctor either second or first, because it is so unique compared to the other classes which you get similar vibes from Darkness Falls classes.

It really does check all my boxes; I love sniper rifles and bows, so it was a great class for me

hi genesis the Mod Download file u put in the description doe not work at all for my pc I download the files and put them to my 7d2d mod folder but i still have problems with getting the mod to work and yes EZ anti cheat is off already
Link works for me, and it was the one I had used to install the version I am playing on.
When it comes to installing all new mods and you are having trouble, empty out your [User]/appdata/roaming/7daystodie/mods folder, uninstall/reinstall 7d2d (you could get away with a file integrity check possibly), then install the mod in a clean install.

For the first episode, yeah kinda do. Folks following along don't always play the mod, or even 7 days to die. I just want everyone to be able to know what is going on, and why I am doing what I am doing. I can see why it might be tedious for folks already familiar
