You’re very wise to learn to sleep train on your first baby! My first I didn’t let her self soothe at all , she literally slept in our bed and was nursed and rocked to sleep until she was 2 😭
Girl you are answering my prayers!!! All these sleep training programs are so expensive I’ve been struggling with my little one but couldn’t afford them. You are amazing! I also wanted to know how long you had to do all this until you started noticing differences?
my heart!!!! I am so happy and hope this is helpful for you!! It honestly only took a couple of days of putting her down drowsy byut awake for her to learn to self soothe and it was LIFE CHANGING!! Although, things continue to change as they get older and wake windows get longer, but the foundation is always the same!
My baby put himself to sleep and slept through the night until the four month sleep regression. We've struggled ever since 😢 hes six months old and cries every 3-4 hours a night most nights to eat. How do i get him to stop waking to eat? I feed him every 2-3 hours during the day.
My baby boy is 10 months old and is used to being nursed to sleep or rocked to sleep and in our bed. He wakes right up as soon as we lay him in his crib even for naps during the day. The longest he has slept straight is 4 hours barely a couple nights ago. Also he won’t take a bottle or sippy with formula or pumped breast milk. Your video is super helpful, any tips would be greatly appreciated!
This one is tricky, and know that you are doing AMAZING! My daughter also refuses pacifiers and would not take a bottle until recently. When he does wake up, how quick are you to feed him once he fusses? Do you ever let him fuss and try to fall back to sleep at all? It is so tricky in the middle of the night because you want the quick fix but it's worth it in the end to break the feeds! They are old enough and smart enough now to realize that when they cry, they'll get the breast and that is the habit we have to break!
Thank you ❤️ when he wakes up after laying him in his crib to nap it’s usually right after nursing him is when he falls asleep so I won’t nurse him again for a few hours. I’ve also been letting him cry to try and allow him to self soothe when he wakes up but he will just cry the entire time until I eventually pick him up because it’s either time for his lunch and diaper change or it’s school pick up time for the older kids which then he ends up sleeping in the car seat like right now as we speak I’m in the car with him while he naps. As for the middle of the night I’ve tried the Ferber method and it would just make him cry and scream more every time I went in so I switched to the cry it out method and he will cry for hours if I let him so none of us get good sleep. Then most of the time my husband ends up picking him up at night for me to nurse him because that’s the only way he falls back asleep. Sorry, I know it’s a lot.
This is so hard because we dont have a nursery, baby sleeps in our room and we work opposite shifts. Theres no good spot to let him try to self soothe. Gonna move in a few months when hes around 8 months old and i hope its not too late to figure it out then
you're doing amazing!! We have a "tent" that we got off of amazon that fits right over a crib or pack and play to help drown out noise and light! The item is in this link: www.amazon.com/shop/sugarsweets/list/2BGD8OPF05VPD?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_T1C9G4T08HYE9FYK4XS7 I hope this helps!
Hey Jess - our baby is 3 months old - we have not yet sleep trained her - she sleeps quite well at night, usually two sleeps of 4-5 hours, occasionally longer. The trouble we have is during the day, she takes short naps, around 20 minutes, very difficult to get her to sleep longer. What do you think we could do?
Hi ! First off, that's so amazing!! When you put her down for naps, do you make the room dark, swaddle, and use a sound machine? If not, try to implement this! Also, make sure she is nice and full!
11 months old tomorrow and he's fine with his 2 naps in the day, but he still wakes up 2 times at night and I always get in the trap of breastfeeding him as it's the fastest way for him to go back to sleep. I always try at first not to and stick to a cuddle, but if he's screaming I just can't. I have 0 patience at night. I also sent his dad but sometimes he demands me. Last but not least, everytime we've tried the common sleep training 5-10-15 minutes thing, it just gets worse as he can go up to two hours of nonstop screaming. Same with refusing to take him out of his crib and into our arms. Not doing those again. Any tips?
This one is tricky as he is now at the age where if you do go and in soothe him when he tries, you are teaching him to cry/demand more. It is so hard to let them fuss it out but they have to learn that they are more than capable to go back down and crying does not always equal food! Especially in the middle of the night, I am so guilty for just feeding my daughter since it quiets them down quickest, but if you take take 3 days to try to just give him a pacifier or let him fuss, it will continue to get better!

@@dessenlover once your baby wakes at night, how long do wait until you go in there?

@@MrsBrianaH What is his schedule like during the day when it comes to naps?
I’ve been aiming for a nap every 3 hours. He usually wakes up around 6am.
I’ll lay him down after nursing him and have white noise on or rain sounds and I have black out curtains in the room as well.
