Great video. As it shows how much space there is in the bag from new. I bought my Guppy when it was a year old, so I had no idea how it was originally packed. ( I’ve since bought another Guppy bag from Minicat (£130). I store the rudder, centre rail and any sharp bits of metal in one bag, then sail, wet suit and buoyancy jacket etc in the other. Other advantage is half the weight when carrying). This looks even easier to assemble and great not to have shrouds. Personally I think the keels should have been made deeper so this model points up to wind and tacks (two up) more easily. As this fellow highlighted the fact that some university students went to the trouble of making recycled plastic keels, then Minicat go and spoil it by unnecessarily wrapping the rudder in cling film? I’m not sure about the bottom batten as I like the idea of there not being a boom on mine, that could wack my grandkids on the head while doing a jibe. Still perhaps it’s light weight. Overall it looks like a really great boat👍
If a bit of close cell foam were stuffed into the ends of each of the 3 pieces of the mast, then they would probably float...just in case
Very good advice about the keels.
Great Video Red Beard!!!! Love that Guppy!!!!
Thanks!!
