They have these clones for $28. I mean for $28 its a hell of a knife. I have a xhp myself but a $28 beater would be nice i might buy one and that the edge off for training. It's hard to find a trainer in that design. I see it as a win win really. That was a narly piece of wood you used. Anything that held up through that aint half bad. Really appreciate you doing this whole test. I know it can get mind numbing cutting rope to test a edge. Great video. 👍
I did not think of using the fake as a trainer, that is a great idea. $28 dollars for this fake would be a really good price. It kept an edge well, nothing deformed after the batoning and even though it failed it was after some hard hits. The really crazy part is that if they would have shaped the cut out on the blade for the pin better, I think that it would have done just as well as the real one. Thank you for the idea of a trainer and suggesting the rope cut, it made for a better video.
Wow. These fakes are really evolving. One common thing I noticed is that ‘wrinkle’ on the spring, Cold Steel’s springs are always perfect and straight, and contoured. Other than that it isn’t easy to tell from pictures on the internet. Have to be careful. Thank you for making this video
No problem, thank you for the suggestion. It’s crazy how accurate the fakes are getting. You’re right about the spring, which reminds me, I forgot to mention that the fake didn’t have teflon washers paired up with the brass washers too. Like you said though it’s hard to tell these apart using only video and pictures. Crazy stuff.
@@totesmalotesI believe you actually did mention about the washers in the video! You state there is only 1 very thick washer on each side. Thanks for making the video, good testing and information
Wow 😳 they done used plastic for the back spacer when the original uses aluminum and no Loc Tite on the screws this is starting to make me very concerned about the knife industry especially Cold Steel and my favorite knoves from them. Thanks Totes , this os the first time I found out about the Espada Clones.
Hello, in my previous video I compare the fake CTS XHP Espada to a real one and I point out all the differences I could see without opening up the knife.
@@powerplay4real174 I wish they would leave them alone too but the Cold Steel CTS XHP knives are a little more expensive so I guess that’s why they started cloning them.
I never broke a CS knife pre sale, post sale 2 bushman's broke, the entire bushman series is garbage, they changed something. My brother says his new recon 1 wont hold an edge like his old one.
I personally don’t really trust the new Cold Steel knives. They haven’t been tested as extensively by both the manufacturer and consumers as old Cold Steel knives.

@@nikosplaysdrums5678 ok nice. I’m glad I included it. After a few takes things get jumbled. Thanks.
Who knew Uyghur children could sharpen knives?

How do you know the green and black was a fake

Another great blade has been cloned
and I actually thought they would leave the Espada Knives alone. 😞

Thumb rings are nuclear gay, suppressing turbo and super by at least ultra gayness.
Hmm I’ve yet to be affected. Maybe there’s something wrong with my thumb ring.
🤣🤣🤣
