You can put 6 rounds in. The newer revolvers have a bar safety so a round won’t go off when dropped. Older ones with pin on hammer would be a concern but not the newer ones
A very cool carry. I really like the holster for that taurus. I was looking at my revolvers today and realized they were all Smith and Wesson. I seriously need to branch out. I agree with your thoughts about spyderco. Fantastic knives for your dollar. I will say Hogue is another great bang for your buck American company. That Ritter rsk folder as well as the fixed blade by the same name are up there among my favorites in both the folder and fixed blade categories. Definitely worth checking out in my opinion. The standard folder is in 20cv with Hogue's able lock or bar lock and the the fixed blade is in s45vn steel. Both knives are under $200, made in the states and I believe some of the money spent goes to knife rights when you purchase a Hogue Ritter. Can't go wrong. There is also a mini version of the folder. I'm sure you saw the spyderco full size military finally has a compression lock option with the military 2. That was very exciting and they have it coming out in some great alternative steels soon one being s110. The Mrs. already has that pre-ordered. I may try to swap it with mine with the s30v and see if she notices. I'm sure the different colored scales will give me away but that won't stop me from trying. Have a great night.
I love this holster, made by a local dude. Love smith and Wesson just a bit steep for me in my old age..loll. ABW model1 had some awesome 20cv. Now I’m trying his Magnacut. I usually don’t get caught up in the steel game. Over prices a lot of knives. Honestly I don’t mind d2 love 14c and 154. Keeps cost down. Love the compression lock. One of my favorites. 👍🏻😎
I hear that. 154cm will always be one of my favorite steels. It's easy to sharpen and very corrosion resistant. For my needs you can't ask for much more. I'm happy to see spyderco dropping a lot of knives with several steels for not much of a price difference so we can sample some different ones without breaking the bank too much. It's also nice to see some budget companies using some higher end steels as well. I think this will drive down the prices across the board. The supersteel of today will be the budget steel of tomorrow. I have definitely been suckered into the steel vacuum more than I like to admit. With many the real world difference is negligible and the treatment is a big variable but as of now the 4 favorites are CPM154cm, s35vn, 20cv and S110. I'll get into why in a video or something. I have always been interested in what chemical properties make anything what it is be it a pharmaceutical, steel or anything else. Have always been a bit of a nerd so that just plays into it. Have a great day brother.
If you want to carry to protect your self. Yes you should have something reliable. Price does not decide reliability and having something is better than having nothing.
FMJ? Try some 148 gr wadcutters; best carry ammo out of a 2" barrel. A lot of research done by serious snub carriers on ammo for short-barrel revolvers. Load all six, that gun is safe. My 856 is the best shooter I've got.
