- Just a video on every new area in the revelations. Here iss my quick review of these areas:
00:01:43 - Guard Tower
Guard Tower is too difficult of an area for when you reach it. This area is reached after defeating Shadee which is very early in the game. The traps and puzzles do not fit the rest of the game and it does not help that you have limited rewinds are this point. 3/10
00:12:18 - Underground Spring
Another area I really did not enjoy. The area is really ugly and does not fit the beautiful aesthetics of the Water Tower. Not being able to move the camera easily makes the perfect jumps and drops really annoying, if this area was in the console ports I would forgive it, but the small joystick on the PSP made this area a nightmare as a kid. The later parts of the level are actually very nice and transition to the Water Tower well. 5/10
00:30:59 - Puzzle Chamber
This area is pretty incredible. The aesthetics of the area are really nice and would fit Warrior Within perfectly. The puzzle is not necessarily trail and error, if you pay attention to the cutscenes and the doors you have already visited, this puzzle is easily solved. I would have loved this to be added to the trilogy port. 9/10
00:45:43 - Behind the walls
Pretty awesome trap layouts in this area. Since we are the sand wraith we are gifted with infinite sands which makes the difficulty bearable. It's nice that this area exists since the Sand Wraith section is very short in Warrior Within. Not much else to say here, the area is quite forgettable. 7/10
00:49:29 - Behind the walls (continued)
This strict time puzzle is pretty cool. You have to utilize the sand wraiths infinite slow down, that way you have enough time to reach the top. There is a very diverse range of platforms which really adds nice difficulty. There aren't many vertical areas in the Prince of Persia series so this is a very nice change. 8/10
00:52:52 - Fire Temple
The traps in this area are at their peak difficulty in Prince of Persia. There are strict timings for the jumps and drops which makes this area annoying especially since the trap layouts aren't really fun or cool. The fire is cool but that's about it. The later section with the beams is one of the worst cases of the game not really being play tested properly. The beam fights with the assassins are atrocious, jumping to counter the assassins will either make you fall off the edge or set you in a position where you cannot strike the assassins back. Overall the area is annoying and too long. 5/10
01:04:02 - The Statues
Pretty creative area with some decent platforming. The game choses to use perfect jumps and drops for its difficulty but there is as least some diversity with its platform layouts. The lore implications of this area are pretty insane but nothing is actually explained which kind of ruins the experience. The aesthetics are cool but are somewhat ruined by the PSP limitations, the statues are very flat with their dimensions and every statues has the same texture all over them. Still the area is very interesting and the platforming is somewhat fun. 7/10
How empress manages to get in the throne room herself ..she must have some good acrobetic skills like prince every time she thinks of going to that room😉😆

Thanks to you I can truly tell myself that removing these maps from the game by the creators didn't hurt it, quite the opposite and I'm not losing much by not playing Revelations
Some maps look cool and belong to the palace but some are just a total disconnect
Exactly and that's why they were removed because most of these looked out of the blue from the given environment. Plus the game would have been too long
I've played WW so many times as a teenager. And yet only today, I find out about all these huge new areas that I have no way of playing. It's a real shame, because I see a lot of new elements in these levels that WW didn't have.
You can always try to emulate it. Dunno what type of hardware you have tho
I am playing it just fine on my Android phone with PPSSPP
@@anhedonaut me too. But after completing some areas (I was at the garden the last time I played) the game started to crash very often. It was very frustrating. Ultimately I deleted it. Can you tell me if there are any ways to fix this?

Lowest graphics, using phone's turbo mode, tweaking fast memory and frame-skipping.

I agree. The game isn't perfect by any means but getting through the parts you don't enjoy only amplifies that feeling you get once you do get to a certain part

Ugh i know right. Its the one thing i dread about this game. You go hourglass room to get serpent sword and then you have to head back. Its like 10x longer than base Warrior Within

Oh god, man, ty so much for this video. Even your movie is quite fresh after so many years game premiere that happened 17 years ago, so much time. Just discovered this game for psp and i learned about new places and wanted to see that but i was worried if i can find some movies showing new locations. I didn't expect so large areas. I saw how long this film is lasting and it really surprised me.
The main frustration I had with this was the controls and the bugs. If it was as polished as the OG version at the very least I would say it's the definitive version
If they just spent a couple more months to perfect the game, it would have easily been the ultimate version of ww.

Controls can be fixed with PS Vita with dual analog plugin. I had a few bugs like immortal Shahdee but I really enjoy this game with dual analog steering.

I think all these areas were supposed to be in the main game. But the developers decided to cut them because they were too tedious for average players and extended the game for no real benefit. It’s not like they invented new places just for revelations.
Maybe but some of these areas are just so bad that i wouldnt think the same devs from WW would make this lol.
@@poptuts That's just my assumption. For me the additional levels are really cool. The time spent in the dark castle listening to the eerie music with the Prince(only WW) is really breathtaking. Although I remember that when I was like 13 I could barely handle the main game and new zones would've been a real challenge for the past me)

While Warrior Within was originally developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Revelations was developed by Pipework Studios... So, yes, the contrast in quality and atmosphere is there...

I was losing my mind while seeing how long the sections were, specially the one you need to go through to activate the garden tower, or that long section to simply meet Kaileena for the snake sword. But the main thing is, kudos to you. I liked the gameplay, and I lowkey wanna try revelations now to see how long can my patience last with the parkour sections 😂
@@darthfinux3485 Load and Save states with emulators make it a bit more bearable. Rival Swords (USA) had much better bonus stages which i also made a video on.

First time i played the new areas , i was very annoyed. While they provided something new , most of them were just a waste of time , and the low resolution of the game didn't help , i died many times trying to make jumps that were wrong, especially in the water temple and the champer of the elemental gods. Really bad.
Yeah i felt like the game was super annoying without save and load states on emulators
Big area with statues looks really interesting, plus has some new lore...
Would like the origins of Sands of time to be more explained...
Have played ww dozens of times back in the days, replayed it recently. Despite that I was excited about new areas, have never finished pop revelations. But looking at this, I do not regret 😄.
I mean, it’s good for you if you enjoy it, but I don’t get it. New locations just look out of place, and the island layout somehow makes less sense with them. No? I wonder if they keep of them in the remake (assuming they’ll make another after the sands of time one).
As my first boss said, “If you’re addressing someone with a problem, you better bring a solution”. And in this case, I’d prefer to see some areas that was not accessible in ww, like the beach in the past or throne room/main hall in the present, the same maybe for the cliff and the caves.
Probably it’s because I’ve played ww so many times that the additions just feel weird. Is there anyone in the comments who played revelations first? Have you notices anything about these areas when you played it for the first time.
Won’t deny, the one at the end with statues looks cool though. It’s still disproportional with the rest of the game, but the statues fit the mystique atmosphere of the island, and a labyrinth after it is a nice addition.

Thank you so much for the support!. Im not sure if this was anyones first game as i doubt it sold as well as WW. The statues at the end give some lore implications, we know that certain gods exist in the lore such as Zam (earth goddess). The other extra areas dont really reveal much as they just feel like additions for the sake of additions. But I do like replaying Revelations from time to time.
Plus the statues are actually cut content from T2T

I thought it was a fever dream. I remember playing it but the used copy I bought was faulty and couldn't finish it. But Rival Swords was identical to two thrones, so I thought I just imagined the game having different levels from Warrior Within.
Ah, if you watch my rival swords vid you will see that the US version of rival swords also had bonus levels

Never knew spider sword was this powerful. Always imagined Spider-Man with this sword but it was too weak. But it seems on PSP it's REALLY strong like the scorpion sword. Now I can finally draw a fanart of it with Spider-Man.
Spider sword is definitely not as strong as the scorpion sword but it is really cool. It was one of my favs as a kid. Btw i love spiderman too haha

These new levels reminds me of various level design from prince of persia sands of time, those huge spaces and frequent parkour are quite good, only if WW wasn't a open world with forced backtracking :/
I found the semi open world quite ambitious tbh. The only time we really have to backtrack in WW is to central hall. The other time is when we play as sand wraith, where the plot kind of demands we backtrack since its playing on the "mirrored fates" idea. I gave my review of all the levels in the description, Revelations makes the backtracking far worse since going to the hourglass room now takes 3 times the time.

Ww was way ahead of its time,when i got my first pc in 2008 a so called frnd brought me this game disc to play ,i was so amazed with the graphics & gameplay of this game i was fascinated by the amazing atmosphere,dark tone,mystery,dahaka,sot storyline is best,Parkour was top notch,this was the time when parkour was hard & had depth,now a days games r too easy & automated.
BUT THIS PARKOUR IS NOTHING COMPARED TO POP 3D,NOT BELONG TO SOT GAMES ,I COULDN'T DESCRIBE HOW I FINISHED IT,CONTROLS WERE FRUSTRATING AS ASS,THE LAST AREA I HAD TO FIND A SOLUTION TO COMPLETE,A DOOR WAS NOT OPENING,I GOT TO THE TOP OF AN AREA & JUMP THROUGH IT,I SURVIVED SOMEHOW & THEN THERE WAS THE BOSS FIGHT,NOW A DAYS IF I M GIVEN THIS TYPE OF BUGGY GAME I COULDN'T FINISH,NOW I LACK THE SKILLS + TODAY GAMES HAVE MADE US PISSY+ WHEN WE GROW WE DONT HAVE THAT MUCH INTEREST OR MENTAL CAPACITY TO HANDLE SUCH ANNOYING TASKS,COZ GROWN UPS CANNOT PUT THEIR WHOLE ATTENTION AS THERES SO MUCH GOING ON THEIR HEAD.

I played warrior within back in 2007 in my cousin's ps2 back then I was really scared of the music and dahaka😅😅
The masked prince part is the most interesting. Could've been more refined and added to the main PC port. Thank you for uploading. 🔥
I am a huge fan of POP:WW but the Relations seems to have too much platforming, on the WW the platforming is very well made and even blends with the enviroments but the Revelations seem too basic and rushed, looks like an intern made it they look very weird there is just too much of them and they look very ugly overall, the new areas and the expansion are nice but they needed to be better planned and much more thought out.
Yeah it was made by a different development team. Warrior Within receieved backlash for not having many platforming sections, so they added a bunch in the PSP port. Yeah it sucked.
Pop series is an all time classic game. The best. Nice game to play even in 2022.

When the game loads these areas, I feel like I'm suddenly playing Ocarina of Time on the N64. It's actually impressive how bad they look.
These new areas feel like the drag on forever, no wonder they never made it in the original. Honestly some are just badly made. A huge block like room with and over use of poles and pits of platform. Looks like a 80s platformer with no substance.
Why I don't have these maps in Warrior within this is not fair😢

I'm familiar with Warrior Within here and also Kao Challengers (PSP ver. of Kao the Kangaroo Round 2 - it added multiplayer, plus swamp levels that you play between the pirate island and the final area).
Hi, you can see on my channel there is also the Two Thrones PSP port which also had extra levels. But only on the US version of the game

I always appreciate extra content in a PSP port, but this version of WW doesn't have Straight Out of Line in the credits which automatically takes it down a million points for me. I presume by extension the opening/trailer with I Stand Alone is missing too (the one that plays in WW when you don't press anything at the title screen).
The menu trailer is gone but it still exists in the extra features. As for straight out of line, its gone from the credits replaced by literally nothing.

They very much are. Some of these areas are early in the game too when you only have 3 rewinds. Its a joke

I hate these level because they got so many glitches and they seem like I'm not on the island because pop ww has a dark theme yet this feel like t2t and they're so badly design because it's hard to do parkour on those blocks I've fall a dozen times only reaching the hour glass these maps also have rendering problems they are too much time consuming and waste of time

Yeah they are not very fun. The levels were not created by Montreal the original developers and it shows.
The Revelations was UNNECESSARILY LONG and BOORISH.

As a guy who played revelations first and then warrior within on PC, I can say these levels had cool quirks but dragged the game a bit too long and also boring in a lot of places.

Its called revelations on PSP. They gave it a new name to trick fans into thinking its a new game when its just warrior within with bonus levels.

Ubisoft wanted to advertise this game as having new levels but Ubisoft Montreal were working on T2T at that time, so they had to get another team (pipeworks) to design the new levels. Lets just say they werent as talented

Genuine question, I'm a PC player confident that could handle the weight of an emulator being used to emulate this game on my PC because at this point, just by watching the video I'm honestly hooked to it and wondering if you have any ideas for an emulator that could help? And yeah I know, the piracy part which I'm going to respect wholeheartedly but honestly coming across all this content with even the prototype versions, I wish to play them myself even if they're like trial and error but yeah, any suggestions? I'm interested!
Absolutely.
For the psp games i recommend an emulator called PPSSPP. Its pretty perfect and even low end pcs can run it well. For Roms you will have to find them on google, a lot of these sites get taken down but simple googling will help.
For ps2 games i recommend using PCSX2. Play on hardware mode in your video settings if you have a low end pc. I find prototypes on a website called hiddenpalace.

Yes. All you need to do is download a emulator called ppsspp and find a rom of prince of persia revelations.

I bought the digital on PSP and this port was buggy . And when you get the mask for whatever reason when you bootup the game you fall to a random pit

Yeah but capped at 30 fps. So all the zips go half the distance as compared to PC.

You need to make videos that don’t really exist yet. There are already thousands of playthroughs of Prince of Persia on UA-cam, You need to find something new and unique to make people want to watch.
Plus it takes a lot of time to grow an audience, it took me like a year or 2 to find a nice community.
