    Great topic to choose, did mine today after watching this video and mine was worse than yours! So popped down to GSF and got a carbon upgrade. Thanks for taking the time to do this video...

    Good call. I was quite surprised to learn recently that a pollen filter change is only included in a major Audi service. Air and fuel filters aren't included at all.

      Well not sure why mine has never been changed after a Audi main dealer major service 🤔

      I recently took my TT 2.0 TFSI Quattro in for a service with an Audi Indy Specialist (UK) and asked about the fuel filter and when it's meant to be changed. I was amazed that he dissuaded me from doing it and told me the fuel filter on the TT is a lifetime filter and it NEVER needs to be replaced and this is according to Audi themselves... What on earth are Audi thinking? I don't trust that at all. My TT has done 85K miles with full Audi Dealer Service History and has never had it's fuel filter changed?? I've had a BMW Mini in the past that completely cut out on a UK motorway due to a clogged fuel filter and that had a filter that was changed every couple of years. Also things like the rear diff oil are also lifetime oils according to Audi - I got my diff oil replaced through an Indy when I did my Haldex oil change as I don't trust these Audi schedules at all. I insisted it was done after doing my own research on rear diff oil - Audi Main dealer refused to change the rear diff oil even if I paid them to do it as a non-service item!?

    Audi recommend changing it every 2 years. Was recently quoted £57 for this at Southampton Audi lol

    BZ. Shippers. Just did my Mk 2. £11.84 from Amazon for the carbon one. Mine hadn't been done in 4 years. 😊

    Nice review Daz, changing the filter if it's not been done for a while can also reduce some of the condensation on the inside of the glass this time of year.

    These little things can make all the difference 👍🏻 You missed a trick though, I'd have lightly sprayed my favourite cologne on the filter before fitting 😎

    Why not use the K and N air filters, lifetime guarantee and washable. Much better for particle and allergy protection than the one you just popped in

    • @ITSARAPPTTRS
      @ITSARAPPTTRS  Місяць тому

      Are you referring to the K&N airbox filter or the interior filter? I have a washable filter under the hood but used a cheap interior filter for a quick fix.
