The Septic Tank 1:2

  • What started as a simple little job grew and became a completely new sewage tank.
    Conny went here to fix what he thought was a faulty seal, but it turned out that the tank was demolished and poorly anchored, all the pipes with the wrong lye and also a cracked pipe.
    We will divide this job into 2 parts.
    This time we focus on the tank and the cracked pipe. We do this because that part goes on the customer's insurance.
    In the spring, we will hopefully go back and fix the pipes that have the wrong slope, an infiltration bed and possibly a ditch at the plot boundary.

    Winter work must add problems. How can you stop the sewage pipes freezing in the snow? How do the homeowners manage while the work is happening? How do you all stay warm? So many questions from a subscriber in Australia.

    • @johaneklund1547
      @johaneklund1547 3 роки тому +1

      They use special workwear for winter, windproof and insulated for the cold, as well as several layers of clothing to insulate for the cold. Thick boots with thick socks. Then we have a saying in Sweden "Work yourself warm"

    • @HedblomSwe
      @HedblomSwe  3 роки тому +1

      1: The sewage lines has never standing water in them.
      2: The customer was not home under this period.
      3: You dress in layers.

    Have you ever tried to use a tank like this as a continuously fed biodigester? My ex Danish girlfriend's dad taught me about biodigesters ( he thinks they are stupid) but I am putting in one anyway, my existing tank erupts when too many people visit, and I need cooking gas for the new kitchen.

      @@erikafurberg6271 Would love to know what the regs are. I have nothing to go by here in the US. I have been using IBC totes, but I want to build something larger that can take barnyard waste, camp ground waste and the overflow I want to run to raceway growing water hyacinth. End of summer I can put the hyacinth into the digester and make more methane. It becomes my backup power supply and cooking gas if I can get the math right.
