Golden days with golden personalities, I have very fond memories of each and every one of them, so much talent gone for ever, thank goodness for recordings like this 👍 I’d love to have heard the recordings of spike Milligan’s children as well, how lucky they were to have him for their dad 😊
Wonderful! This is like a fantasy Christmas dinner party guest list for British comedy greats. Thank you so much BBC Archive for bringing us these forgotten films.
This is great, I actually think this dinner table talk format could work really really well today. I would definitely watch a show like this in modern terms
Thank you for keeping my great grandfather's shows alive! It's so nice to see them! If you have some more stuff with Bernie and especially Barbara (as Bernie died 2 years before I was born but Barbara lived until I was about 12) I'd love love love to see them. My dad has some stuff but they're all analog. So would be nice!
How fascinating. Just a group of men chatting. They just happen to be who they were when working. Peter is trying very hard to be heard, quite rare to see him being himself. Amazing really
A march of 31 dais? And the rest. I was learning to wait in 1968. This is Christmas 1968. Ah. I was working by then. I will replay the tape and check who around that table was serving to the Eight. I was in a Kitchen somewhere.😊🎉🎉🎉
No more than anybody else"....absolutely Dennis. why do actors feel they are under great . stress, we rarely hear about the jobs or the rest of us mere mortals.....
Three of the greatest comedians of all time + Dennis
An Absolute joy to watch
What a treat. Absolutely adore Peter Sellers🥰

It had its disadvantages, as pointed out by Benny Hill: ua-cam.com/video/n384BuAAh2s/v-deo.html .
The great legends in one place

Major thumbs up for posting it in 50p. While only the intro is VideoTape, at least we can see it with it's 50 fields intact!
Mad haters tea party 😆. LEGENDS

An early version of “Alan Davies as yet untitled”

The original podcast
Someone could've suggested to the millionaire Peter Sellers that he could've always gone down the pit if he felt the pressure was too much 🤦
RIP All of them. I would have replaced Dennis Norden with Barry Cryer, though.
With who? Your friends?
It’s dinner not lunch.
It’s not a dinner it’s a feast
its like a dinner table from heaven . will say Dennis norden is a bit boring thou,
