What makes it better is he is about the most down to earth family guy in the show, but in his first days in Korea he gets hooked up with a guy willing to just steal a General's jeep. And just loves it.

Too bad that Hawkeye missed Trapper by minutes when he got to Seoul to see him one last time before he gets sent back to the states and see his family again. He was in a hurry to see them again after Henry Blake didn't make it home to his family.

I remember as a kid, Henry is killed in the last episode of the previous season, when I tuned in to see the MASH new season premiere I was skeptical of BJ, since Trapper John was the #2 guy behind Alan Alda, but I liked him from the start...Mike Ferrel was given the ball and he definitely ran for a touchdown, time and time again....Then comes Sherman Potter to replace Henry Blake at episodes end....

I have to disagree...this was where the series began to find it's traction for me. They started to taper back on the adultery "humor" and move more into serious topics with more mature characters. I'm sorry, but I just don't find constant adultery jokes to be funny. The best things to happen to the show were the removal of Frank, Henry, and Trapper...and the addition of Sherman, BJ, and Charles.
