in this video lesson i will teach you how to play a Latin Montuno for salsa music. this time we will divide the riff into two hands role
the right hand role plays the montuno, and the left hand role will play the Tumbao(the bass line)
i will demonstrate to you how to play both roles together very slowly.
in this video lesson the role of the tumbao is a bit different, so please pay attention to my counting

Very clear in describing the montuno chord progression. Easy to see slash chords. Nice and slow!
The tumbao takes patience & time. I had to write the accents over the 1, 2,+3,4, etc before I got it. Then i would stop counting and just play and enjoy the way the tumbao and montuno part fit together.

Well presented tutorial! Helpful to watch the RH, LH, slow, sped up, and together - Some keyboardists can play by feel, but not explain what they do like you clearly break it down so well. Montuno rhythmic coordination can be tricky.
