What a cool exploration of Germany! It looks like there is so much history and culture to explore. The Westin Hamburg looks like an amazing place to crash after so much learning 😄
I lived 5 years in Bremen. I liked my dads birthplace. Too bad , that’s only the the west German north. The East German north is as nice or nicer. And you can make a day trip to Schweden.
How cool is this! We are doing a road trip from Munich up into Denmark this summer and will be in Lübeck and Hamburg, as well as many smaller places, of course! Cheers!
Hey Arnie...what great timing! ;-) My article with lots of detail will be published next week, so you'll have to check it out. All kinds of suggestions on where to eat, places to stay, etc. Lubeck and Hamburg are amazing and quite different from each other.
This is an amazing place, I hope I can visit again sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
That's a nice trip! The hotel room in Hamburg was indeed spectacular. Just a thing about pronunciation: Lüneburg only has one n (you always added one between e and b).
It sure was. Yes, that Hamburg hotel was amazing. Ah, thank you for the correction, and, for watching. I hope you'll check out some of my other videos. Cheers, Mike
It sure is. I didn't visit there, is it nice? Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed the video. If so, please subscribe to see more of my road trip travel videos. Cheers, Mike
Can you tell me why, you don't use the local name of the towns and cities? Do you know how many Brunswick exist all over the world? But there is only one Braunschweig. Nevertheless, it is an amazing video, also interesting for Germans. For one part of northern Germany you missed, you should watch the youtube video "Ostfriesland Second" - Extended Director's Cut (official) - America First comedy.
The opulent house in Bremen is called the "Rathaus" It is/was the place were the Mayor meets with other (now) politicas to discuss city politics it still is in use and the ratssaal is still historical accurate and very beautifull though the Senate wich is on the other side of the road (the glass cube)has the most power in Bremen and Bremerhaven (Bremen/Bremerhaven is a Bundesland [State like Texas or Nevada] and therfore needs to have its own State Senate) Technically when visiting Bremerhaven you still were in the City of Bremen... also we have a somewhat complicated relation with each other both in politics as in public things (Bremerhaven is mostly poorer and some people think they just leech the money out of Bremen for Prestigeprojects). Hope you got to take a stroll through the schnorr while in bremen its very beautiful and shows how medival Bremen looked with its narrow alleys.
Lubeck probably survived the war as outside of their delicious marzipan I don't think there is industry there. Lovely video but wish the pronunciations of the cities names would have been better. Germany's little cities are beautiful, they're so well care for and so clean. ❤️
Ha! You are probably right a bout the marzipan. Thanks for the kudos and observation. Agreed, I too wish my pronunciations were better. As only an English speaker, my ear is not tuned for foreign languages. I do appreciate you stopping by and watching though. Thanks so much. Hope you will subscribe for more road trip travel videos. Cheers, Mike
bademeister. Thank you for correcting ... I shouldn't have assumed it wasn't bombed. I was in Lubeck only once, quite long ago. My memory is of the beautiful narrow streets with ornate rod iron street lamps and the many wonderful restaurants. I just remember it was particularly beautiful.
Thanks for the correction. Hope you enjoyed the video despite the error. If you did, you may want to check out some of these other European videos: ua-cam.com/play/PLpwbh-wOxJK1pwc3Tod6tNTyJ_DB1v9C8.html Cheers, Mike

What a fun road trip! The weather in Germany is always so tricky -- just moved back to the states from Berlin. Great video!

Hamburg is South West of Lubeck, not north as you’ve stated in your video

It's an advertising channel. It's a pity that you don't notice it until so late (Hotel Elbphi). Is there only surreptitious advertising on UA-cam?!
CJXA What are you talking about?
